I blink like a fool at Del, my broken brain struggling to comprehend what she’s talking about. She is my mate, so how the hell did she find another? And then it hits me.
Eyes going wide as everything in my freezes and locks up, like some f*ucked up mechanism to keep me from pain, my lips flutter slowly to whisper the words I never thought I would say.
