Chapter 11: The Accusation and The Protector's Fury

535 Words
🚨 The Police Presence Siddhi and Anjali reached the edge of the grand hall. They saw two senior police officers standing stiffly, looking profoundly uncomfortable, facing an enraged Karan and Veer Kapoor. Veer was absolutely incandescent with fury. "You were just standing there!" he roared at the senior police officer. Karan, his voice dangerously controlled, stepped in. "Inspector, I can remove your uniform and suspend you from your job right now. Leave her and get out." The police inspector, visibly sweating, stammered, "We are sorry, Mr. Kapoor, but we have received an official complaint against Veer Kapoor—that he has been abusing these ladies." He gestured toward a young woman standing slightly behind them, sobbing hysterically. Veer looked at the crying woman with sheer contempt. "Seriously? This girl is saying that I abused and r***d her? Hmph. Seriously." He dismissed her with a wave of his hand. Siddhi's sharp focus was immediately on the accuser. She noted that the girl's anguish seemed exaggerated—a dramatic performance that Siddhi, with her background in undercover operations, recognized instantly as fake. Furthermore, the injuries visible on the girl's arms and face did not match the typical signs of abuse or r**e; they looked superficial and manufactured. 🤬 The Order As Siddhi was observing the details, Karan suddenly turned, his eyes blazing, spotting Anjali and Siddhi lingering near the entrance. "What are you both doing?" Karan snapped, his voice rough with uncontrolled anger. "Go to your room, now!" He didn't wait for them to move. He pointed to Gopal, the head servant. "Gopal, take Anjali and Siddhi to their room immediately." Gopal rushed toward them. "Dear ones, let's go," he urged gently. Anjali, instantly terrified by Karan's explosive demeanor, was ready to flee. But Siddhi remained rooted to the spot, still analyzing the accuser. Veer's eyes landed on Siddhi, his expression hardening into pure menace. "Tara, you didn't hear Big Brother? Go to your room!" he commanded, his voice tight with suppressed rage. Veer did not want Anjali or, especially, Siddhi to witness the messy, cruel lengths he and Karan would go to silence opposition. He did not want his 'Tara' to see his dark side. Siddhi finally broke her observation and met Veer's furious gaze. She knew pushing him further was dangerous, and she reluctantly prepared to retreat. 💥 The Final Insult Just as Gopal put a hand on Siddhi's arm to lead her away, the unknown girl launched herself forward, shouting an accusation at Veer, then turning her venom on Siddhi. "Oh, so this is the girl you are interested in now!" the accuser shrieked. "You ignore me, you abuse and r**e me, and now you're interested in this b***h?" She pointed a trembling finger directly at Siddhi. Siddhi stared at the girl, momentarily dumbfounded by the sheer stupidity of the allegation. She was dressed like a simple caretaker, masked, and was Karan's 'sister.' Why am I interested in Veer? Siddhi thought, bewildered. I have barely exchanged twenty words with him and only came here for Anjali! The girl's outburst confirmed Siddhi's initial assessment: this was a desperate, chaotic attempt to cause maximum damage, not a genuine complaint. Now, her presence was compromised.
