9 YEARS AGO…  “Your father has finally done it.” Alexis heard his aunt rant as a ruthless-looking guard tugged on the chains bound to their hands and feet. Little Alexis looked at the heavy chains that swayed left and right as he walked. His father had to have done something horrible for him to be dragged to the King’s chambers like a traitor. He was a traitor. The guards dragging them to the court where they would be judged had spat that syllable to his aunt’s face before they bound and dragged them through the neighboring kingdom back to Wohar.
