April and Science turns to the direction in which they heard the voice. A slim pretty girl stood with a serious look on her face. April takes some seconds to check her out. She was just too thin and very beautiful, April didn't fail to notice. She silently wondered between her and the goal who was thinner.
The girls' loud voice beings her out of her rivalry.
"Science, you are practically eating without me" The slim girl says and rolls her eye.
"Without you or without us? Another voice asks totally taking April aback, she didn't notice someone else was present
" Sorry, " Science apologizes and rolls her eyes meanwhile April tries to hide her discomfort.
"Dumlesi, Nancy, meet April Kuti, she is a new student. The girl who broke the schools record." Science introduces.
"Oh, hey! I'm Dumlesi Johnson, " The dark thin girl says with a smile while she settles down on the chair.
"I'm Nancy Chidebere, "The light-skinned busty girl says. April could sense the hostility and disapproving look the girl gave her but decides to overlook it.
" like I'm so glad to meet you, your matter has been trending, just wanted to see the girl behind this, " Dumlesi says earning a weak smile from April meanwhile Nancy settles down. She seemed to be busy with the bottle of coke she was holding.
"I told her, "Science says with a smile.
" So what class are you? It's obvious you are in Ss2, Arts or Science?" Dumlesi asks giving Science a funny look.
"Science!" April responds.
"Woah, we are all science students. Except this book worm over here, " April says pointing at Nancy who sat quietly saying nothing.
"You know, I even forgot to asks her, " Science says giving April a gentle smile which she returned.
"That's because you talk a lot, you will just ignore the necessary things and start talking about the useless ones, " Dumlesi says getting on Science nerves.
"Dumlesi Johnson, this is a new term," Science says.
"Science Chuku, I'm aware," Dumlesi responds making everyone burst into laughter excluding Nancy who wasn't talking not smiling. She was just behaving like a weirdo staring at the coke bottle she was holding. That was when it dawned on April the she hadn't uttered a word since she introduces herself. Nancy was just so weird and beautiful, her glasses fitted her perfectly. Her light skin seemed spotless. April silently wondered what kind of cream they were applying cause there skin were all glowing.
"Science, to the left, to the left, " Dumlesi says in a low tone using her left hand to block her mouth like someone who wanted to gossip. Meanwhile, April who didn't understand what was going on just followed there gaze. She noticed four boys were heading to a sit. April stares at them with her ears open. Waiting for Dumlesi to say something else.
"Senior Wealth, just broke up with Senior Chelsea, "Dumlesi says with a smile.
" And you are happy?"Science asks with an expressionless face.
"I'm just tired of them doing the perfect couple s**t, we all know Senior Wealth is a player," Dumlesi says meanwhile Science rolls her eyes. This act makes Dumlesi laugh.
"Sorry, I forgot he is your ride or die crush, " Dumlesi laughs at Science.
"You are stupid, " Science rolls her eyes.
"But I still stand my ground, Senior Jordan is more handsome, the others are just fair, that's what is helping them, " Dumlesi says and laughs meanwhile April stares at the boy who she thinks is the Jordan they were talking about, the dark-skinned guy, In their midst. She glances at the fair and also the one who looked more like a half-caste.
April couldn't get her eyes off them, they seemed Flawless and she could tell they were the popular guys in school. Cause of the way they carried themselves. The fair guy seemed to be telling the half something that made him smile so much. While the dark guy walks down with a serious face. For some reason April couldn't take her eyes off him. Like there was something about him. He was just too handsome, tall, and hot.
She gets back to her senses when she sees the rude girl she bumped into approach the dark guy. She seemed to be telling him something serious. Because of the serious looks on there faces.
"Like, when will Wendy stop throwing herself on Jordan Adenuga? Like the guy is literally a snub and we all know they can't have anything that will last long, " Dumlesi complains.
"I only wonder, how he got the post of a Senior Perfect, he is a big-time snub!" Science says amidst laughter.
"Like I spent my long vacation in their family house, and it's been the worst vacation I have had. Fisayo was just feeling too big. The only person I related with was the baby of the house, imagine my holiday, " Science complains making Dumlesi scoff.
"We all know his parents position in this school, what do you expect?" Dumlesi asks.
"Like my problem is, why does Wendy keep pestering him when he is obviously in a serious relationship with I.b, " Science says laying emphasis on the serious relationship.
"We both know, those girls can't stand each other. Wendy knows what she is doing, " Dumlesi says in a carefree manner while she snatches the piece of chicken in Science plate earning a glare.
"You are a crook, I should have known you were aiming at my poor chicken!" Science pouts.
"Baby, " Dumlesi scoffs while she bites into her chicken. "Gosh Jordan is hot, ignore his snobbish attitude, " Dumlesi says in a dreamy manner.
"Keep drooling over someone's property!" Science says meanwhile April who was silently eating listened to there conversation even though she didn't really understand what they were talking about.
"I'm interested in Senior Wealth tho, " Science says earning laughter from Nancy, surprising April. She was the only one laughing, When they said something funny she didn't laugh. April silently wondered what was so funny about what Science said. Meanwhile, Science glares at Nancy who just calms herself and keeps quiet. April didn't fail to notice how Nancy spoilt the mood. Everyone just kept quiet but it wasn't applicable to Dumlesi because she just keep shut for two minutes and resumed blabbering.
Dumlesi was quite a talkative, Science could be classified as an average girl who didn't really talk much or talked when necessary. She was not much of a talker and not a calm person either. While Nancy was just so unpredictable.
April just stared at Nancy observing closely, she didn't just feel it. Her spirit wasn't comfortable around her. She makes a mental note to avoid her cause her type was trouble.

April let's out a small hiss while she tries adjusting her uniform. She loved the colour and it seemed like it was sown especially for her cause it fitted her perfectly. White long sleeve, white skirt, and blue blazers.
April couldn't deny the fact that white was her favorite colour. She loved white. She really loved the combo. White and blue. There was a big difference among the daywear, Sunday wear, and school uniform. The daywear was pure white with blue dotted lines. The Sunday wear was pure white but there were big noticeable differences between the Sunday white and the school uniform.
Everyone was given three pairs of navy blue socks. The uniform looked like what was of great quality. April couldn't compare it to her previous school uniforms.
"We are so dead, " Dumlesi says while she walks into the room. April uses the corner of her eyes to check her out. She looked complete. From hair to toe, her uniform looked neatly ironed. Everything looked so perfect.
"Nancy woke up before me and couldn't even wake me up!" Science complains to Dumlesi.
"You know what to expect from that weirdo, how did we even become friends? Dumlesi asks in a funny tone.
" April did you see Nancy leave?"Science turns to April who had been listening to their conversation all along but pretends not to hear.
"Sorry?" April asks with a puzzled look.
"I said, did you see Nancy leave for school? Science asks.
"No, I didn't, " April responds, she could remember vividly how she tried to hide how shocked she was when she found out that Nancy was her roommate. Not just her roommate but also her bunker. She had already made up her mind to avoid Nancy like a plague and to her greatest dismay she couldn't see any way she could avoid roommate so easily.
"Science, guess what?" Dumlesi asks quite excited.
"You were the one complaining that we are late, now you want to start a gist, " Science responds while zipping her school bag earning a chuckle from Dumlesi.
"Don't think we will be able to go for breakfast," A junior girl says to her peer while they head towards the door, completing earning Dumlesi attention.
"Come here, " Dumesi says in an authoritative tone referring to both juniors. Also earning Science and Aprils' attention. They were currently the only ones in the room. Everyone had gone to either have breakfast or school.
"Senior, " The chubby looking girl responds with fear evident in her eyes.
"I'm now too small, you walked past us without greeting right?" Dumlesi asks obviously scaring both girls.
"I'm sorry, " The chubby looking girl pleads in fright.
"Senior, we are sorry, " The other girl pleads in a bold tone.
"What class are you both?" Dumlesi asks.
"Jss1," The bold one responds.
"And what kept you so late?" Dumlesi asks in a strict tone. "Do you have babies?"
"Dumlesi, leave those girls please, " Science says turning to both girls "You can run along," She says to the junior girls who both looked reluctant to leave. They both stare at Dumlesi who had a funny smirk.
" Dums, release them na, " Science says already tired.
"You both can leave, but if this happens again or if I meet any of you in this room running late ever again. I will surely punish you both." Dumlesi says scaring both girls who just walks away without uttering a word.
"Be punishing them, like you aren't late too," Science complains.
"Was that not how our previous seniors treated us? I can't wait till our set rules this school." Dumlesi says in a sing-song voice.
"April are you done?" Science asks April who hadn't uttered a word.
"Yes, " April responds.
"Let's go, " Dumlesi says now picking her school bag.
"Ss2 girls, I don't want to see you all when I return." The hostel perfect girl is heard from the corridor.
"Kelsey is a b***h," Dumlesi mutters making both girls turn to her direction.
"What?" She shrugs.
"Be careful, you don't want her to hear this, " Science says.
"I just hate her!" Dumlesi says while they head out of the hostel.
