Annabelle didn't know how long she had been limping down the road for. Anna couldn't even really tell how much farther the next landscape was. All she knew was, homelessness was not something she had ever thought she would find herself. Not dwelling on empty hope and pointless anger, Annabelle began negotiating what conditions she would be willing to sustain to sleep in the servants quarters somewhere. 'Hey..... self, I know being a servant isn't exactly what we were hoping for in life. And I know, servitude is harsh and low level stuff....... but, my body hurts I can barely walk and we have no transportation. I still need an infirmary, Lord knows what all is damaged and what more got damaged. I haven't eaten since breakfast and that was morning- way beyond hours ago. The sun is about to set and it doesn't look like there is any infirmary around. Oh, look over there- FINALLY! AN INFIRMARY! Hurry I need to make a mad dash for the door.' Annabelle was excited just to see the doctor office. It took fifteen minutes but, she was finally able to reach the front doors. 'Knock Knock Knock!' "Julian! Julian! Someone is knocking on the door!" A female voice hollered. "Open the door Martha! Im coming!" Julian yelled back. Suddenly the door opened. "Hello, how can we help you? Be quick its almost closing time." Martha said impatiently. "I'm Annabelle, I got into a scuffle and I think my ribs are broken and im bleeding pretty bad. My head hurts and I can barely walk, I was hoping for bandages and some pain killing medicine please." Anna said, slightly nervous as she knew the woman was already in a rush. "Well, Julian will be up in just a moment. I don't know if we can help you today- its almost dark now. Can you come back tomorrow?" Martha insisted. "Martha! Shut up! We will help this girl she looks like shes in very bad condition!" Julian was the head doctor and surgeon. Martha was his wife and nurse assistant. After being ushered into the patient waiting room and laid on the bed; Julian examined her severe injuries on her body. Specifically, disgusted by the injury between her thighs. "I don't know how you got all these and judging by the force and by your size I don't need to know. However, I can't reset the ribs, so I'll have to put on a tight cloth wrap around your chest and back ribs. Your hip and shin on your right leg are fractured not broken, those should heal rather easy. The grotesque, bloody mess in between your lady parts- im no lady business doctor for that you gotta go to Tyler Gravemarks. It's too late now to see him now so, you'll need to make your way towards Saregontas. Your about halfway there another hour and a half you'll be there. Address is 2340 Smythe corner, its across from the church hall in town square." Julian said with an informative tone. "Uh, how many miles is it?" Annabelle asked, sounding like she was about to cry. "Maybe 50 miles or less an hour and half travel with a buggy and horse." Julian said. "How long would it take on foot...." Anna said almost in a whisper. "By foot? Probably a day. You don't have transportation or somethin? How did you get here?" Julian slightly shocked that she walked there stated. "Limped from under brush to under brush, when I finally looked up I seen a sign for the infirmary." Anna said, totally embarrassed by the fact that everyone else in the town including the drunkards had a form of transportation except her. "What town did you come from?" Martha asked, sounding concerned. "I came from the countryside of Steinberg Romania. " Annabelle, said sheepishly-fearing thier responses. "Oh, dear Lord, your family must be so worried about you." Martha spouted so, worried about the girl. "No ma'am, my father couldn't afford to keep me there. I'm homeless as of about 6 days ago. I just need some medical attention ma'am. I'll leave as soon as I can, I wont be a bother. Do you know where the nearest servants quarter listing are?" Annabelle started rambling trying to convince them shes no burden, hoping to stay even just the evening. "Stop talking girl, let me get some words in!" Martha half demanded. Annabelle stopped talking hoping she didn't make too big a fool of herself. Hoping possibly for a ride to the next doctor praying for some pain relief. "Okay, Martha its my turn to speak." Julian cut Martha right off. "I have a bugy and a horse my wife and I can take you. It would have to be in the morning Tyler Gravemarks, has a family his wife would be upset if he had a female patient this late in the evening." Julian spoke strict and firm now, stopping the confusion he saw brewing. "Martha, we have our home in the backside of the farm, this is the office I look at my patients. Take our revenue from today go put it in our Vault. Annabelle will stay right here in patient room 3 until morning. Sorry girl, we didn't know we would have a guest, all I can offer thats not all our dinner for the evening is some bread and cheese and water." Julian seemed like he had something bothering him- but he would never tell. Martha left to begin her decent to thier home with all the revenue from today's work. Julian makin his exit, was stopped by a knock on the door. "The Earl must be late or something excuse me I gotta answer the door." Julian made a quick exit. "Good evening, Duke? Where is the Earl? Is everything alright?" Julian addressed the person at the door. "Actually Julian, its a companion of mine. His name is Roman Heartsmith, we were playing horse shoes waiting for his bride my daughter when out of no where a stray bullet hot em square in the shoulder. We couldn't find the perpetrator, but were too far from any town can you get the bullet and patch him up for his wedding tomorrow afternoon?" The Duke sounded desperate and slightly embarrassed at the hour. "No problem Duke bring em in right here in patient room 1." Julian said sounding a bit rushed. Annabelle couldn't believe her ears 'Did he just say Roman Heartsmith?'
