Chapter 37: Monster in the House
The room fell into complete silence for one terrifying second.
Draven stood in the shattered doorway like a nightmare come to life. Blood dripped from his claws onto the wooden floor. His red eyes burned with fury and dark hunger as they locked onto me. His partially scaled body was massive, towering over everyone in the small house. More of his crimson scales had faded since the last time I saw him, but he still looked every bit the ruthless dragon.
My mother gasped and pulled me behind her. “Who are you? Get out of my house!”
