With what had happened to him, Damien was taken back to a small apartment where he stays, by his body guard, George.
This wasn't his real place, but just a small home he stayed while acting like a poor man before Anna.
He stepped in all wet, slowly trying to take off the smelling and dirty clothes, when Stella dashed into the room, calling his name.
"Damien, are you okay?" She asked when she entered, only to find him all filthy.
Her heart sank with sadness, causing her to stop at her spot.
Damien looked at Stella and gave a smile.
"You were right. She did plan something for me," He chuckled, slowly taking of his shirt.
Stella felt so hurt on seeing how dirty Damien was looking. She held back her sadness and drew closer to her best friend, helping him out with his clothes.
"I told you not to go, but you just didn't want to listen to me. Now look at what she has done to you."
"You know too well that I won't listen, Stella. You of all people should understand why I had to go, " He said, thinking of Anna.
Stella knows why he left despite her warning, and it made her upset even more.
She held his shirt tight with pain in her heart, answering Damien, " I do know. It's because you love Anna."
Damien hummed, stepping into the bathroom to take off his remaining clothes.
Stella gently placed the dirty shirt in a bowl close to the door of the bathroom, leaning back against the wall to wait for Damien.
When he was done cleaning up and he came out in a freshly wear, Stella asked, "Now that you know, will you return back?"
Damien faced Stella.
"Will you leave this place and return back to your rightful home? You know you don't belong here, Damien."
"Not yet," He said, walking towards the bed.
"Why? " She asked, following him.
"Damien, you are not some poor man that should be treated like trash. You are a wealthy businessman. A trillionaire for heaven's sake! Just head back now, please, " Stella begged Damien.
She too knows who Damien truly was.
She knew about his true identity a long time ago, but she chose to follow her best friend in his pretext of being a poor man.
She didn't like it, especially when he began dating Anna. She wanted him to see who Anna truly was, leave his fake life, and head back to his rightful place.
But Damien didn't look like one who was ready to do so.
He scoffed at Stella's words and said, "I am not going anywhere yet, Stella. I will remain here until I'm done with what I want."
"Done with what now? Isn't that plan over? You know you chose this life just because of Anna. You wanted to see if she'd accept you as a poor man, but she didn't. What are you still waiting for?"
"Revenge," He answered, patting Stella on the cheek with a smirk.
"I've endured a lot from that family. When Anna's parents were insulting me, I just took it in because of Anna. But after they crossed the line today, I will make sure I ruin them all, " He said, showing his eagerness.
"She even has a boyfriend who's a millionaire. Oh, I'm going to make him regret ever joining them. They will regret it, just mark my words," He said, getting annoyed.
Stella feels worried about Damien's plan to exact his revenge against Anna and her family.
She could understand how he was feeling at the moment and she didn't want him taking a path he would regret later on.
"Damien, please, can you just let this go? Yes they have hurt you, but revenge isn't the best option. Just forget that you ever came across them and..."
"You seem to have forgotten who you're talking to, Stella, " Damien said, dropping his daring gaze at her.
The look in his eyes made Stella feel uncomfortable, and scared as well.
"I won't leave them. That's not my way. I will make sure I get what I want from them, and they won't see it coming," He promised.
Stella doesn't drag the matter any further with Damien. She took her bag and left him alone, heading for her place.
.
Three days had passed since the tumultuous night at the party, and Damien had retreated to his mansion, seeking solace in its tranquil surroundings. Standing on his balcony, he gazed out at the serene landscape, the warm sunlight dancing across his chiseled features. The gentle breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and for a moment, his thoughts were free from the chaos that had consumed him.
But the peace was short-lived. His phone rang, shrill and insistent, shattering the calm. Damien's eyes narrowed as he answered, his deep voice low and commanding.
"Talk to me."
"Mr. Rosario, we've received a business proposal from J.V.K. Limited," his manager, Mr. Hardy, announced, his voice crisp and professional.
Damien's interest piqued, he leaned against the balcony railing, his eyes scanning the horizon.
"A partnership proposal, huh?" Damien asked.
"Yes, sir," Mr. Hardy confirmed. "It's from the CEO named Ken..."
"Ken?" Damien's eyes grew large. The name took his mind back to Anna's lover from the party, triggering Damien's mind to ask for more details and a photo of the fellow.
"Is something wrong, sir?"
"Just send me those details, quickly," He ordered, ending the call.
"Ken. Oh, you better pray you're not the same man in mind," Damien chuckled, snapping his fingers.
A message came in from his manager. He immediately checked and saw that the CEO of J. V. K limited was indeed Anna's millionaire boyfriend, Ken.
Damien's eyes shimmered with delight, as he took out his phone and contacted his manager back.
"Give Mr Ken the Rosario treatment."
"Rosario treatment? Sir, you mean..."
"You know what I mean, Hardy. Do as I say."
"Yes sir. I will do just that."
"Good." He ended the call, looking right at Ken's photo.
"J.V.K company? Indeed it sounds like a poor man's business, " He scoffed.
