"I lay in bed, too frightened to move. My heart is pounding and my body is shaking. The doorbell suddenly rings and I jump up in a panic. I'm too afraid to move, but I force myself down the stairs, hoping it's just my mom. Oh no, I left my phone in my room - what if something happens and I can't call for help? I'm so freaked out that I can barely breathe. Is this really happening or am I just imagining things?
"The doorbell rings again and I can barely force myself to open the door. As I look through the peephole, I see a familiar figure standing on the front porch. It's my mom! I let out a deep sigh of relief as I open the door for her. She's exhausted and wants to shower and go straight to bed, but before she can move, I tell her everything that happened while she was away. She looks at me with a mixture of concern and skepticism, like she's not sure if I'm telling the truth or if I'm just imagining
"She thinks it must have come in through the open door when we weren't looking. I know that seems like a stretch, but it's the only possible explanation we have. She goes to bed without another word, leaving me feeling confused and uneasy. It's so strange that she's not more worried about everything that's been going on. I can't shake the feeling that something's not right. I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my mind.
"I decide that I'll never stay home alone again. Instead, I'll stick close to Ellie, even though I know she has other friends and sometimes I feel like a third wheel. At least I have my job now to keep me busy and help me take my mind off of everything that's been happening. It's a distraction from my worries and fears, even though I can't shake the feeling that something's not right.
"Finally, Friday!" I thought to myself as I sank into my bed, exhausted from the week's events. But my peace was soon interrupted by a notification on my phone. It was from Ellie, who wanted to know how my job interview went. I had completely forgotten to text her and thank her. I quickly replied to her messages, hoping she wouldn't be too upset with me. I was too tired to think about anything else. I closed my eyes, hoping for a peaceful sleep, but my mind was still racing with thoughts of the strange events from the night before.
"I have to work today, but I still have a bit of time before I have to leave," I thought to myself. I decided to meet up with Ellie, even though I knew she probably wouldn't believe my story about the previous night. I tried to push the events out of my mind as I got ready for the day. I felt anxious and uneasy as I left my apartment, the events of the night before still weighing heavily on my mind. I hoped the day would be uneventful and that I could put the whole thing behind me.
I knew I had to tell Ellie what had happened. I remembered that she had said she could sense when someone was following us at night. So maybe she wouldn't think I was going crazy, like my mom did. I hurriedly showered, ate breakfast, and got dressed. I rushed out the door and headed to Ellie's place. The sun was shining brightly, but I couldn't shake the uneasiness that lingered from the previous night.
As I walked to Ellie's house, I felt a sense of fear growing inside me. It was like a shadow was following me, stalking me, even in the bright daylight. I tried to walk faster, but it kept pace with me. I glanced over my shoulder, but there was nothing there. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that something sinister was watching me. With every step, my heart raced faster, and my hands trembled. I had to remind myself to breathe.
As I looked around, I spotted a dark figure in the distance. It was shaped like a bird, but I had never seen anything like it before. The body seemed to be shrouded in a dark mist, almost like a shadow. It glided through the air, keeping pace with me. I tried to look away, but I couldn't tear my eyes from it. I felt a chill run down my spine, and a feeling of dread settled over me. Was I losing my mind?
Just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder, I reached Ellie's house and rang the doorbell. As I turned around, the strange figure had disappeared, as if it was never there. I stood there, feeling confused and uneasy. Had I really seen something, or was it all in my imagination?
