My CEO Obsession

Chapter 5

ALAIA POV

The following day, I woke up to my alarm at 7 a.m. and got ready for work. I glanced at myself in the mirror, satisfied with my look. I wore a white silk blouse and high-waist black pants, with my hair tied in a low Korean bun. I used my favorite skincare products and put on light makeup. Grabbing my handbag and phone, I quickly made some breakfast in the kitchen. Then, I took my car keys and headed to work.

After a few minutes, I arrived at Trevo Enterprises and parked my car in the basement. This is my second year working at the most successful company with an income of over 10 billion per year in a marketing department. Trevo operates in various sectors, including shipping, hotels, F&B, offshore supply, housing, and many more.

I walked into the company just in time and sat down at my desk. My colleague Eva walked up to me and said, "You look so bright today, Laia."

I frowned. "What do you mean, bright?" I looked at myself in the small mirror on my desk and noticed it too.

"Normally, you seem lifeless when you come to work, but today you look energetic," Eva said. We're pretty close.

I sighed. "Maybe it's because I had a crazy night. You won't believe I had my first s*x last night with the hottest man I've ever seen,"

I said, laughing.

"You're kidding me," she snickered, thinking I was joking.

We often make these kinds of jokes, so I'm not surprised. People have thought we have a lot of experience with men, but we're actually quite conservative. That's why I'm still upset about last night. That wasn't like me at all!

"The new CEO is starting today," she announced. I shrugged. "I heard he's the owner's son. Right now, most of the ladies in the company are eager to meet him. I'm sure he's handsome and charming!" Eva added. I rolled my eyes. I can only hope he's not like our previous CEO, rude and arrogant. I can't stand working for a boss like that.

I turned on my PC and started to do my work on it. Let's see what the market research team has sent over today. I murmuring to myself.

I opened the email client and noticed a new message from the market research team. I click on it, and the email expands to reveal detailed insights and analysis. I go through the email, click on the attachment and starts reading through the comprehensive report. Charts, graphs, and detailed analysis fill the screen. I took notes, my expression focused and determined on the screen.

After a few minutes, the office was abuzz with excitement and murmurs of admiration. It seemed everyone was crowding around someone who had just arrived, though I couldn’t see who it was from my desk. I overheard Eva mentioning that the newcomer was quite a handsome man, but I wasn’t particularly interested.

I was too focused on my work until I didn't notice someone standing beside my desk with a soft voice calling my name "Hi, Alaia".

I looked up, my eyes widening in surprise and confusion. “Eiser? What are you doing here?”

“I work here,” he said with a smirk. “Actually, I’m going to be the new CEO. But for now, I’m just visiting different departments to get a feel of everything.”

My mouth opened and closed in shock, unable to process the information. “You… you’re the new CEO?” I asked him with disbelief look on my face. I saw everyone turn to look at us with a questioning look and some of the girls gave me an annoying look.

“Yes,” he confirmed, enjoying my reaction. “We have a lot to talk about, Alaia. Starting with how we can’t forget that night.”

I immediately looked at him and shut his mouth with my hands, asking him to stop talking about that night. I also heard everyone gasping about the situation that was happening in front of them. Well, I know they didn't hear what he was saying, but I don't want him to talk about it again since it was a mistake.

"Ehem, well everyone, continue your work". With that, he gave me a wink and left the office.

Eva came up to me and said with an excited tone" that was something else. You guys look perfect together." I replied and gave her a small smile.

Suddenly, my superior, Mark, came over. "Guys, we have a meeting in the conference hall now!" he announced, then started walking away. I quickly grabbed my notebook and pen and followed everyone to the conference hall.

As I walked in, everyone was already seated, so I found a quiet corner to sit in. After a minute, I heard a round of applause that startled me, and I looked to see where everyone was looking. I saw Mr Trevor Alister alongside him was a man in a black suit walk into the conference hall and I knew for sure that it was Eiser, our new CEO. I thought I'd never see him again, but I was wrong!

EISER POV

Today is my first day working at my family's company. My father has been asking me to join him for a long time, but I couldn't because my own small business wasn't organized yet. Now everything is running smoothly as I want it to. I asked my old friend Clement to run that business, and now I'm ready to be the next CEO of Trevo Enterprises!

The next morning, I arrived at the office earlier than usual, anticipation bubbling within me. As I walked through the hallways, I felt a sense of purpose. I was going to see her again.

In a meeting with my father, I casually mentioned that I wanted to get more involved with day-to-day operations. He agreed, suggesting I start by visiting different departments. This was perfect. It gave me the perfect excuse to see her.

I made my way to the marketing department where Alaia worked. As I entered the room, I started to hear everyone murmur about my presence and I saw some of the girls with their jaws dropped after they saw me. I'm not gonna lie, I looked so hot today with my expensive black suit and neatly combed undercut hair. I saw her at her desk, completely unaware of my presence. She looked focused, her brows furrowed slightly as she worked. I approached her, my heart pounding with anticipation.

“Alaia,” I said softly, standing beside her desk.

She looked up, her eyes widening in surprise and confusion. “Eiser? What are you doing here?”

“I work here,” I said with a smirk. “Actually, I’m going to be the new CEO. But for now, I’m just visiting different departments to get a feel of everything.”

Her mouth opened and closed in shock, unable to process the information. “You… you’re the new CEO?”

“Yes,” I confirmed, enjoying her reaction. “We have a lot to talk about, Alaia. Starting with how we can’t forget that night.”

She immediately looked at me and shut my mouth with her small hands, asking me to stop talking about that night. I also heard everyone gasping about the situation that was happening in front of them. I don't want to make everyone else gossip about my girl in the company, so I asked everyone to continue their work and gave her a wink before I left.

As my father and I walked into the conference hall, we both were greeted with applause and smiles from the employees. My eyes landed on someone I really wanted to meet: Alaia! She was dressed formally but still looked stunning. I saw her with the same expression I met her just now. She couldn't believe I was the new CEO of this company.

I introduced myself, "Hi everyone, I'm Eiser Mike Trevor, your new CEO." I heard every girl in the hall compliment my appearance except for Alaia. She looked stunned by everything happening around her. When the meeting ended, everyone began to leave, and I noticed Alaia heading to the pantry.

I followed her. As she took a glass of water and prepared to drink, I stood up behind her and whispered in her ear, "Hi, my lady, how are you?" She was shocked, and the water spilled all over her blouse.

Turning around, she looked at me, unaware of how sexy she looked with her wet blouse, revealing her chest and half-breast moving quickly. I could see how nervous she was.

She looked at her wet blouse, realizing its condition. Her eyes searched for something to dry it, and she found a fan near the table. As she moved to leave, I pulled her waist close to me, our faces inches apart.

I looked into her eyes and said, "We're meeting again. You can't run away from me." I couldn't control myself and pressed my lips to hers, but when I tried to deepen the kiss, she pushed me away.

"Don't you dare kiss me whenever you want! We both made a mistake once, and I don't want it to happen again! You better go to your office before anyone comes in!" she finally spoke after being silent.

"I'll go now, but remember, I won't let you go away from me again!" I said firmly, then walked away from the pantry.
