Chapter 8: Bloodlust

Chloe and Guillen planned a day off from their school work to go to a theme park so they could relax and have fun. The two were excited because it's the first time since they came to the city that they will actually go out and have fun.

They went to Enchanted Kingdom, a famous amusement park where most families go to have a good time. They first tried the roller coaster where Chloe almost threw up while Guillen was laughing at her. Then they went inside a horror house, then went to play with playing booths. Guillen wanted to win a prize badly, but Chloe knew that the game was rigged and Guillen would never win.

Guillen hit the target that she was supposed to take down to get the price, but the target was still standing, so Guillen went and ranted at the game master.

"I hit it! I swear!" Guillen said.

"You either take it down or not young lady and from what I'm seeing it's pretty much standing." The game master said.

"Here let me try." Chloe said.

She then proceeds to use a little amount of her power to not only take the target down, but blow itup.

The game master was dazed and his jaw dropped.

"How's that for taking it down?" Chloe said.

"He-here's your price hehe you have a nice day!" The game master shockingly said.

The two laughed.

"How did you do that?! you were awesome!" Guillen praised Chloe.

"Well.. you know the only reason is because I'm awesome!!" Chloe responded.

"You sure are!" Guillen said.

The two were celebrating their win and laughing when an unfamiliar voice spoke.

"That's one hell of an aim you got there."

The two looked behind them and saw a mysterious guy. Chloe quickly sensed something odd about the guy.

"I'm sorry I was just watching you play the game." The guy said.

"Thanks, Guillen let's go to that ride over there!" Chloe said as she tried to avoid further conversations with the guy.

She took Guillen's hand and ran towards the ride that she was pointingat. She looked back while they were running and saw the guy smile at her eerily before he disappeared into the crowd.

"Why are we in such a hurry?" Guillen asked.

"Nothing I just thought that, that guy is kinda weird." Chloe answered.

"Woah, that totally not like you." Guillen said.

"Oh I know I'm so beautiful but still I have my types in guys and that guy was definitely out of it." Chloe replied.

"You can be so mean sometimes." Guillen said while she chuckled.

Chloe was trying to hide the fact that she felt a strong bloodlust coming from the guy they came across. He had a strong posture; his hair was brushed up and his neck covered in tribal tattoos. His dark eyes looked lifeless and his facial expressions looked emotionless.

The day ended with the two taking the trip home. When they arrived at their apartment they each went to their rooms looking so tired and laid on their bed. Guillen quickly fell asleep. Chloe sneaked out to go to the mansion and talk to Zeal about the guy they came across at the theme park.

"It was a short moment but I felt extreme danger just by standing in front of him. He's dangerous." Chloe said seriously.

"Who could that possibly be?" Asked Zeal.

"He's definitely not someone we can trust." Chloe said.

"One after another, what are those dark creatures plotting." Zeal said.

Meanwhile..

Guillen was fast asleep. On the roof of their apartment, Achlys is sitting with his eerie wide smile.

"Now then, I wonder what I should do?" Achlys said.

"Hmm.. maybe I can play with them a little." Achlys continued while slowly laughing

Achlys increased his bloodlust to let Zeal and Chloe know where he was. The two who were back at the mansion felt it.

"It's him." Chloe said

"He's where the Queen is." Zeal said.

Chloe quickly teleported to the apartment where Achlys was. There was a weird fog surrounding the place. They rushed to get to Guillen's room. Inside they saw Achlys holding Guillen's hair with a blade aimed at her neck.

Zeal was enraged. He released his sword.

"Don't" Chloe said.

"I would listen to her if I were you." Achlys said.

"This sheets looks neat, be shame if it gets stained." Achlys continued.

"Before we start let me introduce myself, I'm Achlys and I will be the one assigned to play with you." Achlys said as he looked them dead in the eye while smiling.

"What do you want?!" Zeal asked.

"Nothing in particular. I was bored so I thought I pay you all a visit. I even took the effrot releasing this gas to make sure it's just the three of us talking." Achlys answered.

"Somehow I managed to find this precious girl, I wonder what she taste like?" Achlys continued while he licks Guillen's neck.

Zeal was full of rage at that moment. The surrounding was getting hotter and hotter because of him.

"Well, I wasn't planning to end it this way, I still want to play a little. See you all in a bit." Achlys said.

Achlys slowly vanished into the shadows. Chloe rushed to Guillen to make sure she was ok. Guillen woke up and saw Zeal.

"Zeal? Why are you here?" Guillen asked.

"Do you remember anything before you fell asleep?" Chloe asked.

" We both got home then I fell asleep afterwards that's all. Why? Did something happened? You look worried." Guillen said.

"Oh nothing nothing, Zeal here was just passing by the neighborhood so I decided to invite him in for a cup of coffee. I was planning on asking you to join us that's why we're here." Chloe said.

"Oh.. uh.. yeah sure I would love a cup of coffee." Guillen smiled.

"I'm gonna make some you two stay here." Chloe said.

Chloe felt relieved that Guillen was not harmed but terrified at the same time because Guillen's life is slowly getting involved in their world and she doesn't know how long they

Can keep it a secret from her. If they choose to tell Guillen, even if the signs that she possesses her family's powers do not show yet, her life will be in great danger because she will become a target for the dark creatures to get to Zeal and her.

The three had coffee and talked about random stuff.

"It's getting late I need to go home now." Zeal said.

"Guillen would you mind walking our guest out while I clean here?"

"Uh.. no I'll walk him out." Guillen answered.

"It was nice having you here Zeal, although you didn't really talk much..and it was awkward cause you just sat there.. while listening to us gossip.. anyway, come again another time!" Chloe said.

"It's my pleasures having been invited here." Zeal answered.

"Ooooh that was so formal Guillen likes that kind of men, Don't you Guillen?" Chloe said while she mocks Guillen.

"Oh my God Chloe!" Guillen taps her head in embarrassment

As they arrived at the front door Zeal tapped Guillen's head.

"You be careful ok?" Zeal said with a warm smile.

"Y-yeah.. you too be careful on the way home." Guillen blushed.

Zeal left.

Guillen closed the door. She thought of how warm Zeal's smile was and how he was so kind to her. She pressed the back of her head on the front door and was containing her smile.

Chloe was looking at her.

"Wow. That's a pretty wide smile you got there." Chloe said.

"Can you imagine him as your boyfriend?!" Chloe asked while she smiled

Guillen blushed.

"No! Of course not! It's just that he's so nice and his smile is so warm it just makes me feel comfortable." Guillen answered.

"Of all the things you could possibly like.. you choose his smile? The dude doesn't even smile I bet he doesn't even know what a smile is." Chloe said sarcastically.

"Well sometimes he smiles at me." Guillen said.

"That must be one heck of a sight." Chloe again was being sarcastic.

"Let's just rest we have school tomorrow." Guillen said.

"Yeah I'm beat. I could probably marry my bed." Chloe said.

The two went to their rooms to rest. Guillen quickly fell asleep, but Chloe could not. The danger that she felt in Achlys presence was nothing to be ignored.

In a dark alleyway, a drunk man was passing by when he bumped into Achlys.

"Hey watch it dumbass!, can't you see I'm walking here?!" The drunk man said.

"I apologize." Achlys said

"Yeah that's right now walk away before I bash your face in." The drunk man said.

Achlys walked away. The drunk man continued to walk in the alley way when suddenly something liquid dropped on his face. It started with one drop, then two, then it just started pouring. The droplets came from above. When the drunk man looked up, he was stunned at what he saw.

Bodies hanged on the alleyway lamp posts. Their necks slit open and organs pulled out from their guts. To the drunk man it looked like someone juiced the bodies as he saw their faces, which looked like they screamed for their life before getting killed.

Achlys walks the streets of Quezon City, looking forward to it being his all you can eat buffet.

"What a feast." Achlys said while he laughed maniacally

News about the bodies spread throughout the city. Many citizens felt fear, although the news reported a possible serial killer.

Achlys can feel their fears. He enjoys it, he bathes in it. He can smell fear from a mile away and it gives him great pleasure.

Zeal watched the news. He smashed the glass of wine that he was holding when the segment about the dead bodies went on. He knew it was Achlys

The room became hot. The air was moving with the hot pressure. It was Zeal, he was enraged with what Achlys did to Guillen and what he did to those people. His blood was boiling just thinking of him.

"Achlys.. I will burn you to the ground."
