Chapter 2

{Adriannas POV}

Once Kane left and we were relatively on better terms, I found it so much easier to focus my thoughts. Coming to West Grove Private College was such a big decision for my family and I, and it was a discussion that was only won by me after many long arguments and it came with a few compromises on my part. My dad, William Peck, multimillionaire and soon to be a billionaire, made me promise that the one golden rule for allowing to come to WG, was that I wouldn't reveal our family history or who I was to anyone unless I could trust them with my life. He made it known that had our family drawn any attention to ourselves, it would mean dire consequences for not only him, but the entire family would be ruined. Although my parents were very opened about my dads family, they didn't tell me everything and I honestly never really cared because my moms family had been the best throughout my life so far. Currently I was drying my hair and wondering if I should tell my family I found my mate, I know they would be shocked but I didn't know if they would be so accepting of him, and I honestly wanted to enjoy the moment instead of worrying about everyone's opinion. I was also scared that if I told my dad, he would call off everything and demand that I return home. By chance, I received a call from my mom and immediately answered

"Hey mama, I was just thinking about you" I said

"Hey my little dove, how are you?" she asked

"Good mama, and you? How's my little chaos causer doing?" I asked, I missed my little sister so much, although Reeann was just 2 years old, she and I already build such a tight bond and I was putty in her hands whenever mom or dad were too strict on her.

"She misses you, always pouting when she doesn't get her way. We actually just got back from West Palm and decided to test her blood and you won't believe what the results are" my mum said, sounding a little too disappointed and it only meant one thing.

"Her Avarian blood is more dominant?" I asked, and to be honest even I wanted my little sister to have a wolf.

"Yes, the doctor said its common in hybrids. She would still have a few werewolf abilities, but it looks like she won't be able to gain her wolf." she said with a sign.

"Don't stress it mom, dad will still train her and she's still a special little beasty no matter what" I said, and I heard mom started to laugh abit.

"Alright baby girl, let me go make these two dinner. We'll talk soon okay?" she said

"Mom, you're making dinner?" and I'm sure she could her me sulking.

"I am, your father is pestering me make my signature surf and tuff. Maybe if you come home this weekend, I'd cook for you so stop sulking and making me feel bad" she said, Mockingly

"Mama I've only been here a week and it's my first weekend, you know I can't be coming home so soon" I said sulking even more.

"hahaha bye honey." she said and hung up

My parents and I were always close and this isn't the first time this week that they've asked me to come home for the weekend, they were impossible sometimes. After I hung up, I decided to text Ella to see if she wanted to grab dinner together, I knew she might still be with that boy from earlier but I decided to check anyway. Lucky for me, she was out in the courtyard and told me meet her there. Kane left saying he'd find me and we'd eat together but I always had dinner with Ella and I wouldn't drop her for a guy just yet.

I made my way to the courtyard and the closer I got I heard screaming and what sounded like something being slammed against the wall. making my way around the corner and into a crowd of people looking at something I couldn't see. As I pushed passed everyone, I saw a boy with dirty blonde hair, thin and slightly muscular being thrown into the fountain at the center of the courtyard by a guy who looked untouched and happy by what he just did. As the taller, bigger guy with dark hair and piercing blue eyes and tattoos all over his arms walked towards the fountain, another guy almost roared and commanded the attention of everyone in the courtyard, and although I've never heard this side of him, I'd know that voice anywhere.

"Stop this! Now!" Kane commanded "get cleaned up and meet me in the clearing in 10 minutes! Now leave!" he roared. Damn he looked extremely pissed off as the guy in the fountain stood up and walked away while the other walked towards Kane and just shrugged it off. The crowd started to disperse and I couldn't help but over hear some of their comments

"man that guy is such a d**k. he deserved that"

"that guy was so cute, he must be an alpha to command them"

"yeah I heard he has one of the biggest packs. no wonder he's such a badass"

"he isnt marked, maybe he'll be down for fun" hearing the last comment made my wolf let out a low warning growl and the girl just turned around and looked at me like I was crazy and then walked away. Hearing me growl across the courtyard, Kane immediately came to me and wrapped his arm around my waist and I immediately calmed down.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" he asked, looking around as if I was threatened.

"Er I heard a girl say maybe you'd be down for some fun with her later and uhm Storm didn't take too kindly to that." I said, kind of embarrassed but I didn't care anymore.

He just looked at me and started laughing, and it was such a precious sound, as if the big bad alpha was no more.

I pulled his face down to mine and said the one thing I knew I needed to say and I didn't care about anything or anyone else in that moment "Mine!" I said with a growl at the end.

"Yes, yours." he said and kissed me lightly, then pulled away, which instantly made me pout and before I could say anything Ella came running towards us with that guy in tow

"Girl! There you are, are you ready to grab some dinner?" she asked, with a smirk. I knew it was because she saw Kanes and my embrace a few seconds ago.

"Er yeah sure, Kane would you like to join us?" I asked, even though I knew he had a situation on his hands, but maybe we could wait for him.

"I will, but you girls get started, Jace and I will meet you once we're done." he said

I looked back at Ella and was about to ask for an introduction but Kane spoke instead.

"Sweetheart this is Jace, my future beta and Ella's mate" he said with a small smile forming as he noticed how surprised I was.

"Oh wow Ella I'm so happy for you!" I said and gave her a hug "Jace, so glad to meet you, you better take good care of my friend there or you'll have to deal with me" I said while also going in for a hug and I could see that it took him by surprise, it also earned us a possessive growl from Kane and I couldn't help but start laughing and go back to Kane side.

"Common man, she's my luna, you know it was innocent" Jace said while rolling his eyes and laughing.

"Whatever" Kane said while nuzzling in face between my and shoulder, sending sparks throughout my body.

"Wyatt, Damian this is Adrianna, my mate and future luna" he said while the other two guys joined us. Damian was the guy involved in the fight and Wyatt was a looker as well, he had grey spiked hair and was so muscular and tall.

"You can call me Adi" I said and decided handshakes would work best this time.

"Adi" they both responded

"You all should-" I was cut off by the guy with dirty blonde hair walking across the courtyard screaming "Kane! Damian! what the f**k?" as he started running towards us.

{Kanes POV}

"Martin aren't you supposed to be at the clearing?" I asked angrily

" I was on my way when I saw you guys here. Were you planning on having me wait like an ass while you guys are here having a laugh at how I was just humiliated?" he rudely responded.

"It hasn't been 10 minutes has it?" I asked, seething with anger.

"oh and who is the lovely young lady" he said, while reaching out to take her hand. Immediately I grabbed his wrist and let out a growl. "She's mine!" I said through gritted teeth. Martin was always a friend but when it came to girls, especially the girls I dated back in school, he always went after them as soon as I broke up with them. It always seem weird to me but I never thought much about it, but today I wouldn't stand by and watch him try and be too friendly with my mate.

"I was just asking" he said with a mocking smirk, enjoying my sudden outburst.

"Adrianna, my names Adrianna." Adrianna said, but she didn't extend her hand and I could tell his presence made her uncomfortable.

"Girls, go have dinner, we'll meet you shortly. " I said, bending down and laying a kiss on my mates lips before I turned around to leave with the guys in tow.
