Chapter 8

{Kanes POV}

"Kane" I heard a whisper but I just groaned in response.

"Kane" this time it was louder and followed by a sweet kiss on my lips, and I kissed back, pulling Adrianna in, she broke the kiss and said "I need to pee"

"Aghh fine" I said and released my hold on her, she giggled and went to the bathroom. I couldn't sleeping without her now, I'd have to try and make her come to me every night from no onwards, how did I even sleep without her?

I woke up and checked the time. s**t it was already 3pm, and I still haven't managed to so see if Wyatt managed to get the stuff I asked him for. I need to call up Ella and ask for her help.

"Hello?" Ella answered

"Hey Ella, I need your help with Adrianna, I want to plan something special for her tonight and I was hoping you'd keep her company til then? I don't want her to be alone right now"

"Yeah sure, where are yall?" she asked.

"Still in the room, how soon can you get here?" I asked

"I'm just outside" she said and sure enough the door opened and she walked in with Jace.

"Jace you should come with me" I said then turned to Ella "Tell her there was a pack matter to deal with and I'll come get her soon okay?" and I walked out of the room with Jace in tow.

Lucky for me as I got to my room, Wyatt and Damian were walking up with the stuff I asked them to get. I couldn't wait for tonight so my mate and I can become one.

Finally everything was set up, and now all that was left was to get Adrianna here. It took 2 hours to make sure everything was perfect and I was getting more impatient by the minute. I told the guys not to disturb me for anything other than a burning house because I wanted no interruptions. I walked over to Adriannas dorm and I became a bit nervous.

I knocked and waited for her to open up.

"Babe!" she squeaked, she seem so hyped up it made me even more nervous.

"I finally get a nickname huh?" I smirked and she immediately started blushing. "My lady" I said, gesturing for her to take my hand, and the familiar sparks shot up my arm. We walked back to my room in silence, I could feel her tense up the closer we got, she was so innocent like that, it only made me want her more. I opened the door and let her in, immediately she grasped and froze at the site before her.

{Adriannas POV}

I was getting impatient waiting for Kane, I was so embarrassed when I told him I was ready, but he made me feel better when he explained why it wasn't time as yet and it made me fall in love with him all over again. I can't believe I doubted him, I think it'll haunt me forever knowing how quick I jumped to conclusions instead of at least hearing him out. Finally I heard a knock on the door and I jumped in excitement. Kane and I made our way to his dorm and the nerves were starting to the get best of me. I kept thinking what if I wasn't that good or couldn't satisfy him? I wondered if I should of prepared myself by watching porn or something or maybe even getting tips from Ella but I was too shy to do either of those things. When he opened the door and I got in, I was awestruck. The roof of his dorm were covered in rose colored balloons and candles were lit everywhere, the bed was framed with fairy lights that came down the bed like a mosquito net. At the food of the bed was a table with chocolate coated strawberries, my favorite semi sweet white wine and a note. I turned around to face Kane and I still didn't know what to say or if anything I say could show him how amazing this looked.

"Kane I.... oh my goddess... this is... I can't even put to words how amazing this is" was made it more special is that he actually paid attention to all our conversations. He knew I wasn't the type of girl that loved flowers and there wasn't one in site. My favorite colour was rose gold and I'd take balloons over flowers any day. Ooh the candles and the lights were just icing on the cake. I told him once how much I loved fairy lights, twinkling on a dark night. It was the main reason I loved going to see the lights on Christmas even. It was absolutely perfect. I picked up the note and read it, and it made my heart skip a beat and a tear escaped my eyes, a happy one

{Kanes POV}

I've had s*x before but nothing compares to tonight, every moment was amazing and I never came so hard. I was worried that Adrianna might get angry when I released my seed in her but she was fine. "Dude you're late for training! It's 5:30!" Wyatt said pissed off. Wyatts father was the head trainer back at the pack and Wyatt was trained by his dad so he could take over. Naturally I made him our trainer while we were at campus because we all began slacking. He took it very seriously and never held back.

"Not today Wyatt" I said rolling my eyes.

"Sorry but if you miss out today, then its double damage for you tomorrow" he said crossing his arms "The guys have already started so get your ass down the in 5 minutes!" and he walked away.

I walked over to the bed and gave Adrianna another kiss with an apologetic look "I'm sorry baby go back to bed" as I get in next to her.

"Babe you can go, I'll be fine. I'll meet you breakfast?" she asked, and I just beamed at her.

"No I'll handle Wyatt later, right now I just want to be with you" I said and I pulled her closer. "How are you feeling?"

"A bit sore but amazing" she said with a yawn.

"What times your first lecture?" I asked

"10:30, yours?"

"Same, I'll set the alarm for us to wake up in time, sleep my love" I set the alarm and went back to sleep.

"Kane!" Adrianna shouted

"Wh.. what?" I said stretching as I woke up, still a bit groggy.

"You never set the alarm and its 1pm!" she scolded

"No I did, look" I say and I handed her my phone

"agh babe, you set it for 9pm not 9am!" she laughed so hard at that.

"Damn I'm sorry, do you have any lectures left for the day?" I asked, amused at how funny she found it

"Yep I have 3 today, all back to back." she said and I scoffed. "What?" she asked

"That means 3 hours without you" I pouted hoping I could get her to bail.

"Oooh no you don't mister. I already skipped yesterday and this morning. Don't you have any?" she asked as she got up and walked towards the bathroom.

"I do, just one though at 3." I got up from the bed and went into the bathroom and watched as she tried to make herself neater.

"Well I definitely need a change of clothes and a shower before I go, want to walk me to my room?" she asked seductively

"You bet, let me just wash up first then we can leave" she nods and heads back into the room. When I was done I checked my phone and sure enough the guys had blown it up because I was a no show. Nothing important seemed to happen so I mind linked Jace to see if everything was good.

"Jace, just checking in" I said

"Dude we found out something about Martin you'll want to know. Where are you?" he asked

"In my dorm, I'll walk Adrianna back to hers and we'll meet after"

"So I'm assuming everything went on well?"

I cut him off immediately because I could hear the smirk in his voice. I head back into my room to find Adrianna knocked out on the bed, again. I was only in the bathroom for 10mins! "Sweetheart, get up" I said, and she stirred awake, stretching out. "I was only gone 10 minutes, maybe you should call it a day? I'll get food brought up and you can sleep in?" I say probably sounding a bit too concerned but I don't care.

"Huh? No no, need to get to class" she woke up and started walking towards the door "I am starving though, you think we could grab something to eat before my lecture?" she asked patting her stomach. I couldn't help but laugh at her relationship with food, it was definitely the cutest thing. The girl could eat, but I honestly didn't know where it vanished to. "I'll see what I can do while you shower" and we head back to her dorm.

I mind linked Jace to get something from the cafeteria up to the room for us, and I waited while Adrianna showered. Finally she came out and I let Jace know he could come up in 10 minutes with the food. She got dressed and just then the door opened and Jace walks in with Ella. He immediately placed the food on the bed and grabbed Adrianna in an embrace.

I let out a warning growl and he just flicked me the finger. "We've missed you Adi, dont you ever do that again!" he scolded and she looked embarrassed. "I know I know. I missed you too" she said "Thank you so much for the food! I'm starving." she said and she dug in. After we ate, Adrianna left for her class and Ella went to go meet some of her other friends while Jace and I headed to the commons room to meet the guys. To my surprise Martin was with them.

"Kane, glad to see the future luna is back at campus" Martin said while aiming for his shot at the pool table.

"Yeah, sure" I replied. It was getting harder and harder for me to look into the eyes of the guy that caused Adrianna and I so much pain, while pretending to be a friend. Being civil was the only way to keep him close and hoping we find a way to figure out what game he's playing because be doesn't know that we know about him.

"Everything sorted out?" he asked

"Everything is perfect" I replied, he was a damn good liar he always kept a straight face so you could never tell what he was thinking. Jace never got around to telling me what information he gathered about Martin and it was already 3pm and I had to leave for my lecture.

Once the lecture was over I mind linked Jace to meet me at my room and bring Damian and Wyatt along, I was getting anxious not knowing what he had on Martin.

Once Jace and the guys got to my room, he locked the door and got straight to the point

"Man first things first, Marty had a mate and you would never believe who it is" he said, waiting for me to try and guess. When he realized I wasn't going to he continued "Okay, well its Margaret, Kane. He found out not long after she gained her wolf and he was rejected."

"What the hell? So that's why he couldn't stand to be around her?" I was shocked Margaret would reject her mate and then lie that I was her mate.

"I guess so. It would explain why he'd want to hurt you, Margaret was obsessed with you and that might be why she rejected him."

"Man, the dude must of went crazy seeing you and Margaret together" Damian said

"That was out of my control. I didnt know anything about this" I said, annoyed that Margaret would stoop so low.

"Theres something else, but I'm not sure how this plays out for Marty" he said while taking a beer from the mini fridge

"We ran background checks on his family, just to do proper research and his dad worked for Peck industries years ago as the CFO of the New York branch. He was fired after internal investigations showed him pocketing over 2.3 million dollars over the course of 4 years. It was such a big scandal at the time that no one would employ him. Im not sure if that's another reason to go after you and dimples, because I've never known him to have a good relationship with his dad." he finished

"So for now, the most reasonable explanation is that he's taking revenge on me for his physco mates obsession?" I asked, how stupid could this guy be? "It doesn't make sense why he would be helping her though. How do you go from not being able to be in the same room as someone to plotting with them? She was his mate, so how is he comfortable knowing that if they succeed, and Margaret gets her way, she'd be with me and he'd still be left rejected?" None of it made any sense to me, then again, I'm not physco enough to understand how they would think.

We tried looking at the situation from various angles to try and get a better understanding but any way we looked at it, nothing added up.

"Guys I'll catch you at dinner, Ella and I have a date which I'm currently late for." he said and walked out. It was 6pm and time flew, I picked up my phone to check where Adrianna is but she didn't respond so I called her

"Hello" said a sleepy voice

"Dimples, you didn't sleep again did you?" I asked slightly amused

"K K Kane?" she said and I could picture groggy self trying to wake up

"Sweetheart?" no answer "Hellllooooo" nothing. Damn this girl can sleep. I decided to head to her dorm, and lucky for me Ella and Jace where about to enter his room so I asked her for the keys.

When I got there, Adrianna was snoring again, and completely sprawled out on the bed with her phone close to her ear. He looked so peaceful but completely funny with a bit of drool on her pillow case.

I let her sleep for another hour before it was time for dinner. I left and decided to go for a run.
