The Supreme Alpha

A rogue to deal with.....

Selena's POV

After seeing Damien and the others off, James and I set off to my armory to prepare for the battle. I armed myself with a katana at hand and twin short had blades hanging on my waist. Although dealing with a bunch of ferals was too easy for me but using my powers in front of a Rogue Alpha would potentially put me and all those associated with me in danger so James and I had prepared ourselves for a hand to hand combat. Since I lost my family I had  known there would be people after me because of my powers but James was one of the few people who had discovered my gift but never acted selfishly. He was in fact the person who advised me to prepare myself for battles without my powers to protect me and all those I cared about. He stuck with me through out my training and from school to college he was my only friend too. Even when he was turned into a vampire after being killed by my pursuers he remained by my side. As the memories played out in my mind I couldn't help but feel thankful for having a friend like James in my life. As I stared at James who was busy tracking down the location of the feral group I felt tears well up in my eyes. He raised his head as his attention landed on me, " What's the matter Selen??!! What's with all the tears?!! ", he asked worried about me. I blinked away the tears and smiled brightly, " I was just wondering how I got so lucky to have a friend like you? " I said. "Wow, what is this? Did my grand friendship soften the Supreme Alpha's stone heart. " He said dramatically mocking me. I playfully slapped away his shoulder and said, " It would take a lot more of your friendship to soften this iron heart. So tell me Dracula " I said with a dramatic flare in my voice, " Are you willing to stand by me, a walking danger through the trials of time? ", I asked raising my hand for an oath. " Of course moony, now let's go kick some feral butts in style, shall we?", he answered with a smirk plastered to his face. " Ooh I've been waiting ".

We intercepted the rogue Alpha a few kilometers from the boarders in our territory. The Rogue was leading roughly 30 freshly turned ferals and new ones were being created with each passing second. They were attacking a picnic ground filled with innocent families. James ordered all our soldiers  to evacuate the civilians while we began to inhibit the ferals from reaching the families. We soon lead the group into the the forest north of Crescent City. The ferals began to regroup once we were far enough from the city and close to the boarders. This was uncommon for ferals to be working in perfect coordination which meant there was something else amiss. I cautioned James that there may be black magic involved along with the Rogue Alpha. After regrouping the ferals just stood there waiting for something or someone.... My questions were soon answered as the Rogue Alpha emerged playing with flame between his fingers. " Ahh finally, we meet Alpha. But honestly I was expecting a well built fighter that gives me a good battle not a little girl who can't even face her problems without her weak little vampire protecting her. HA HAHA HA!! ", he said mocking me. This made my blood boil to an extent that I felt my hands itching to rip his throat open. I knew James was feeling the same so I decided the rogue had exhausted my patience and deemed him worthy to die by my hand. Throw our mind link, I told James to attack the ferals on my command and let me deal with the rogue. "Trust me Asshole I'm more than enough to deal with your sorry ass. " I retorted. With this James and I pounced onto the enemy. 

As the ferals poured into them, Selena and James slashed through them with razor sharp precision and light speed. Selena let her katana blade move as gracefully as the wind slashing, stabbing and lacerating anything that stood before it.  Soon after diving into the army of ferals she lost the katana while saving James from an on comming feral. She then took to her twin blades slicing up throats and cutting off heads of as many ferals as she could find. In no time James and she were drenched in feral blood as they were finishing off the last survivors. Once all were finished they turned to face the rogue who was now watching them with an amused look. 

"I must say I'm quite surprised to see you standing till now. Maybe you are worth a fight to me but I can't say the same for the vampire friend of yours", said the alpha in a smug tone. That's when I realized that James was struggling to stand as the feral blood had infected him.  Suddenly panic came over me as I saw him in pain, this sight made me forget the battle for a moment and the only thing I felt was guilt for having put his life in danger. As I rushed to cure him he stopped me saying that it would reveal my identity to the rogue. I assured him saying that the rogue was my prey today and I wasn't an easy going predator so he shouldn't worry about it. He chuckled at my remark and said, " Well then finish the hunting for me will ya? I'm kinda starving cuz of the excessive work this ass hole put up. It's your treat though! ". " Sure as hell ya big fella just let me fix you up and then I can deal with the pest." I replied while biting a vaid on my hand and feeding my blood to him. Once he finished drinking, James began to float in the air and dropped on his feet after being healed in a flash. I cracked my knuckles as I turned to the alpha who was prepared to fight me with flames. This is going to end faster than I thought..
