The Great Run (pt2)

(Ivy’s POV)

Last I remember was being pushed up against a locker then it went black for a second then I popped up next to the most beautiful waterfall with a cave I’ve ever seen! I looked around for a minute then I thought I heard a stick snap in half, but I brushed it off. This must be heaven or something but I’m in love with this place! I feel so at ease and safe, like the warmth of a mother to her child. I choke back sniffles thinking about my mother and go back to focusing on my surroundings. The next thing I know is the most beautifullest Wolf I’ve ever seen in my life. The wolf was a dark grey with white and peach looking fur on the wolf and along with that it had a big grey patch on its ears, legs and tail with a silver tint to her with the brightest green eyes I’ve ever seen. They were brighter than an emerald. The wolf stopped and looked me right in the eyes but I didn’t feel scared around it instead I felt drawn to it. I slowly walked up to the wolf and held my head out. The wolf sniffed my hand then pressed it’s head against my palm and I felt even more calm and another part of my body was awake. That’s when me and the wolf locked eyes for what seemed like forever but we broke apart when a shining bright light appeared. After the light dimmed down a little I looked and saw the wolf had left but was in the lap of another woman. The wolf has its head on her thigh while the woman stroked the wolf's hair, causing the wolf to purr. The woman was so beautiful! She had light white hair with black highlights, the perfect glowing skin, she had a flower crown on as well. She looked like a goddess. The mystery woman said”Come here, my child.” I didn’t protest, I followed orders and walked over and sat beside her. I just looked into her eyes feeling that warmth I was talking about even more. “My child, do you know who I am?” I shook my head “No ma’am I don’t know who you are , but why do you keep calling me your child?” “Oh my dear let me introduce myself, I’m the moon goddess and I'm mother to all werewolves.” She said beaming at me I just looked at her jaw dropped to the floor “O-Oh my! I’m so sorry, where's my manners?” I said as I bowed to her “My dear child please don’t bow to me.” She said calmly “Ms.Goddess may I ask why you messed my life up like this?” I asked not to make eye contact with her and she sighed ”My child I am so sorry but that’s what your fate is but don’t worry you have the best future coming up ever! I even heard that someone special has a big 1st shift and is meeting a mate coming up.” She softly smiled at me “Wait you mean I do have a mate??” I asked in a high pitched voice her smile grew even bigger “Yes my dear you also will be unlocking your gifts that you will need to protect everyone you love.” she said “Wait what do you mean I’ll have special gifts? I haven’t even met my wolf yet.” She just chuckled. “See this beauty next to me, that's her.” I looked at her wide eyed then I broke into a small with love and adoration in my eyes. “So you’re telling me this most beautiful wolf I’ve ever laid eyes on is mine!?” I squealed “That she is and you get her 2 weeks earlier.” she said “2 weeks earlier! Oh my I’m the luckiest girl they are! But wait, why do I get her 2 weeks early?” I asked “Remember the gift I was talking about? Well you start to unlock it on your 17th birthday and you’ll need to start to train to be able to know how to use your gifts.” She said calmly all I could do was smile and hug her “Thank you for giving me light at the end of my tunnel.” She hugged me back “You're welcome my dear now I must go, you have 5 days till your birthday.” Before I could say anything the amazing waterfall cave faded and all I could hear was beeping of machines as I started to open my eyes I was blinded by the bright light. I shot my eyes open only to close them as quick after a few times of doing that I had my eyes fully open. I looked around the room and saw I was in a yellow white wall color, then I looked left and saw charts and such. Looked like your normal hospital room. Everything was silent till I heard her in my mind. I froze. “Hey there my love.” A strange voice said. I looked around then I realized it’s my wolf! “Hey there!” I said back excitingly. “What’s your name there my new best friend?” I asked her, “My name's River, my sweet one.” She purred “Oh my what a lovely name for such a beautiful wolf!” I said to her but before she could say anything I smelt Jace coming so I quickly closed my eyes to pretend I was still out. The door slammed open “Darren you dumb ass you did this to her!” Jace yelled “I-I’m so sorry Jace but she looked me right in the eyes! And she wouldn’t listen.” Darren barked back. Jace sighs, “you better hope and pray she comes back or you're dead she is coming to make me amazing heirs! With the powers she is gonna have.” How does he know?

The door opened again to reveal a new scent I’ve never smelt before. “Jacey poo remember my Luna ceremony is in 5 days! I need you to help me pick the decorations.” A high pitched voice said “Listen Katherine you go back out to the car and then I’ll be down in a second ok?” Jace asked “Hmph ok fine Jacey poo but be down there!” Then I heard the door open again and the high heels that were clicking went away. “Damn Jace you couldn’t have had any worse luck with finding your mate huh?” Darren laughed “Shut it! But no I couldn’t but at least she’s an alpha's daughter that means our packs will merge and become bigger!” Jace almost yelled. “Well I guess we better leave before she comes back up here.” Jace said. Just as I heard the door close I opened my eyes, I started to cry. I let all of the tears I’ve been holding back for 8 years come out. “It’s hopeless River we’ll never be allowed to find our mate.” I said in between sobs “Ivy listen to me we are not going to be that piece of s***s pup making machine you heard he found his mate now she can be his pup making machine!” River growling at the last part “How are we going to get out of here then?” I asked her “We are going to make a run for it. Jace comes around 3 times a day. He always comes at 8:00am, 12:30pm and 4:30pm everyday. We will wait till tomorrow after 4:30pm ok?” River asked in a serious tone “That sounds like an amazing plan!” I said to her, I looked over at the clock to see it’s almost 6:50 pm in less than 24 hours. I'm going to make a run for it! But while I’m in the hospital and no one cares about me anyways I’m going to go get a real shower.

(Jace’s POV)

I shut the car door hard. I look over to my mate and just get even angrier. “But I love my mate. She's beautiful, kind, sweet, and caring!” Jace's wolf said “I could care less sure she might have alpha blood but she’s not Ivy!” I yelled at him ``I cut the link between me and my wolf. I left at a frustrated sigh and rubbed my temples next thing I know I feel Katherines nasty touch.” “Katherine get off of me.” I growled “But Jacey poo don’t you love my touch?” She asked, “No I don’t like your touch!” I yelled at her “B-but Jacey poo you’re supposed to love it.” She said as she started to cry. Oh s**t I really did it this time. I rolled my eyes “Kat baby I’m so sorry it’s just I’m still pissed at Darren for almost killing our maid and putting her into a coma.” I said to her in a sweet voice making me almost gag. “Oh Jacey poo I’m so sorry I didn’t know.” She said as she tried to lean in for a kiss but I pulled back. “Right now's not the time.” I said coldly. Why did I have to go with Kolton to that pack? If I never would have gone I’d still be a single man, but I guess I can’t complain too much. My pack is gonna be more than triple in size and I have Ivy to still give me strong heirs. I smile at that thought. Just got to wait till Ivy turns 17 then she can pack my pups!

(Ivy’s POV)

It felt awesome to finally take a real shower! As I walked out of the bathroom I quickly ran to my bed because I heard someone coming. It’s probably the nurse coming to check on me. As I lay back in the bed and shut my eyes the door to my room opens, then 2 smells I’ve never smelt before hit my nose. One of the scents has something mixed into it that makes my heart race. I calmed my heart rate down to hear what they’re saying. “I can’t believe Colson Knox Fetcher is now the alpha!” She squealed out “I know right! I believe I’m his mate. I can feel a pull.” The other voice smarted out. For some reason that made me very angry hearing them talk about that name and I’m not too sure why. Colson Knox Fetcher? Who is he and why do I love the way his name sounds when I say it?

Time skip

(Ivy’s POV)

I looked over at the clock seeing it was 4:15pm. I better get my act together. After I got all fixed up to look just like I was, it was now 4:28pm just as I said that I could hear Jaces voice down the hall hitting on the nurses. I quickly closed my eyes as I heard footsteps outside the door. The door finally opened and I smelt Jace, Darren and Kolton. “Darren you better hope she comes awake before her 17th birthday!” Jace growled at him “I’ve told you time and time again Jace it’s not my fault she doesn't listen.” Darren snapped back. I could feel Koltons scent get closer to me and then I could feel his nasty touch from where he placed his hand on my cheek. Me and my wolf both gag in our mind. “Kolton get your f*****g hand away from her!” Jace boomed out he quickly pulled his hand away “Jeez Jace calm I was just whipping off the dirt on her cheek.” Kolton said with a hint of pissed off in his voice. I just rolled my eyes. Just as Darren was about to say something, someone's phone rang and judging by the sigh I assumed it was Jace. “I swear I hate this woman.”Jace growled “Moon goddess really couldn't have put me with anyone worse could she?” Jace asked, “I’d be honored to have Katherine as my mate.” Darren said confidently Jace let out a real big growl that would send chills down any normal wolf but it didn't phase me. “You and I mean you better never and I mean EVER say that about my mate again or I will throw you into the cells for you to rot.” Jace said seething with venom with every word. Darren whimpered out ”Yes alpha.” “Now I better call her back.” Jace signed out. After Jace called her she said that she was waiting for him outside. “Well boys I guess we better get going.” Jace said. I heard 2 sets of footsteps leave but one still remained along with that awful scent and that was no other than Jace. I heard him step closer to me till I could feel him standing over me. He sighed “So princess that I couldn’t make this visit longer but that’s ok I’ll be back in the morning.” He said, taking his hand and pushing a piece of stray hair behind my ear. My wolf gagged, he then turned and walked out the door. I layed there till it had become dark outside and everyone was switching their shifts. I get up, put on the hospital house shoes then walk over to the door leaning up against it seeing if I could hear anybody. When I couldn’t hear no one I opened the door and ran for the stairs as I got to the stairs. I worked my way down from the 8th floor which is where I was at. Made it to the bottom I then again leaned up against the door to see if I could hear anyone, after I couldnt I pulled the hospital gown over my head like a hoodie I opened the door to see no one was around so I booked it out the door after I got out the door I let River take over and as it hurt a lot feeling all of my bones break and shift into their new form I could feel my face grow longer into the shape a of a wolves head. I could feel that my limbs aren't all there any more. I could feel all my fingers sprout into claws. The once beautiful dark grey with white and a hint of a peach color wolf with the silver tint to her fur was all over my body, once I was no longer in pain I let River take over I could smell and see things way better it was dark out but I could see as if it was in the middle of the day time and the way she dodged everything jumping over the fallen logs dodging all the sticks it was amazing! I could hear everything I could hear: a mama deer and her baby sleeping. I could hear the river flowing peacefully, but that all was cut off when I heard a howl behind me. River perked her ears up and pushed herself to go faster. I could hear paws behind me. I heard a growl and that growl belonged to the one and only Jace. I ran faster, making sure no one was near me till I heard a snap of a stick. I looked over to see Jace’s wolf gaining on me. I kept running till Jace and the others came to a halt but that didn't stop me. I kept running till I found this old looking tree that had a whole in it big enough for me to fit into.I could hear Jace growling for me to come out, that's until I heard a deep mystery voice I’ve never heard before. The deep voice said “Alpha Jace I thought I warned you to never come near my territory again?” “I don't want to be here trust me but I wouldn't have to be but you have something that belongs to me.” Jace replied back with a little bit of sacredness in his voice as he growled out “What do you mean something that belongs to you?” the mystery deep voice asked “You know what I’m talking about but that's ok I’ll be back for you princess and when I do come back you will be punished.”Jace said as he and his mutts walked off. The deep voice man walked over to where I was hiding. “Pup came out and shift now.” he said using an alpha tone. Oh s**t realization just sat in I’m on another alphas territory and the alpha is speaking to me! I quickly came out of hiding then shifted one of the guys that was beside him handed me a robe. I put it on then fixed my eyes on my feet holding my head as far down as I could. “Pup, would you please make eye contact with me when I’m talking to you?” he sweetly asked I looked at him looking at him he had to be around 45ish he had dark chocolate brown hair that had streaks of grey in it, he had age wrinkles sure he might be older like but he's still good looking with silver eyes stands around 6ft tall very fit for his age “Yes sir I’m sorry for not listening.” I said my voice was very shaky. “Your fine sweet pup but why does Jace want you?” he asked “Well as you know around 8 years ago the crescent pack was destroyed by rouges well my mother and father was Erick and Molly Black Alpha and Luna of the pack and well Jace had someone catch me and keep me in a cell for a couple days then Jace bought me like a slave then made me the pack slave for the last 8 years I've been abused, almost r***d, starved, and I've had to clean everything Ive had to cook for everyone and the beat it all I turn 17 in less than 4 days he done found his mate but only wants me to be his pup making machine he said only I could give him strong heirs.” I said tears threatening to spill the man just looked at me with a bunch of emotions I couldn’t tell what he was feeling but after standing there for around 4 seconds he pulled me into a tight bear hug and that did me in I started to bawl in his grasp it reminded me of what my fathers touch was warm but protective. After standing there for a while just bawling in his arms we finally pulled apart and he whipped away what was left of my tears “You poor thing don’t you ever worry you’re safe now!” he said “W-what do you mean?” Isome how managed to get out “You will be staying with me in my pack, i will love to adopt you yes I know its so soon h**l you don't even know my name.” he chuckled. I looked at him shocked. “Are you kidding me?” I asked all excitedly “Yes I would love that!” I said as I ran to give him a big bear hug, which caught him by surprise but he hugged me back, we broke away again. “I never did catch ya name pup.” he chuckled “Ivy Grace Black and the wolf you saw that was River.” I smiled out sticking my hand out for a hand shake, he stuck his out as well shaking my hand back “Vincent Fetcher.”he smiled at me “Ok now Ms.Ivy I’m going to mind link my wife and let her know your sinuation and so she can prepare a room for you.” after he said that his eyes kinda fogged up like it does when you mind link someone. After around 5 minutes or so, silver as a dime color eyes were clear again. “We best be going before she has my head.” he chuckled. I just nodded my head and smiled. We got to walking it was almost dark by the time we got to this big beautiful cabin looking house I stopped and my Jaw hit the floor, it had a nice big green house area, looked like a log cabin from all those real fancy magazines I saw him look over to me and he let out a laugh “Never seen a house before?” he playfully asked the only thing I could say was woah. After I snapped back to reality I finally said “This has to be a dream! It's so beautiful.” he just smiled and continued walking as we got to the front doors which stood about 10 feet tall I mean they were huge! The doors had a wolf standing on top of a ledge howling up at the sky then at the bottom of the ledge was a bunch of others howling as well! As he opened the door a faint scent hit my nose that made me feel something that I’ve never felt before. My wolf was pacing in my head. I just pushed it to the side so I could take in the beauty of this house, as the door opened there was this beautiful woman standing there she stood around 5”7 had an amazing jawline with caramel color hair that was pulled back into a tight ponytail not a single strand of hair was out of place them you had her beautiful light blue eyes. While I was snapped back out of my thoughts by a tight hug “Vincent! Why didn't you tell me she was gorgeous!.” she squealed into my ear. My poor ear drums. Vincent pulled her off me and if looks were to kill he would've died on spot. I laughed at them “Ms.Luna it is so nice to meet you.” I said as I bowed my head “Pff don’t call me Ms.luna! Call me Mom or Liz, understand?” She smiled at me. I smiled back and nodded my head. As I was looking around there was that scent again, god what is that mouth watering scent? It’s barely there. It smells like fresh rain with a hint of mint and vanilla with oranges. That mouth watering scent I’m going to have to ask Liz about it “Ms.Liz water is that amazing scent you have in your house right now?” I asked. She looked at me puzzled for a moment “What scent are you talking about sweetheart? I don't have anything sprayed right now.” she said “Oh it might be cleaning stuff then.” I said lying right through my teeth “That might be it, anyways come eat dinner I’m sure you’re starving!” Just as I was about to protest my stomach growled. I'm pretty sure everyone heard it, I blushed “My dear when was the last time you ate?” Liz asked me, raising an eyebrow. “Um, 5 days ago I think.” I said looking down at my feet not wanting to look at the look on her face. “Get your butt into that Kitchen now!” She said in a luna tone I just shook my head and followed them to the kitchen.

Time skip

(Ivys POV)

After I finished my steak I was stuffed I asked to be excused asking Liz where my room was so I could get ready for bed she told me on the 4th floor 8th door on my right as I left the kitchen I saw the big wooden staircase and walked up to the 4th floor right as I got to the 8th door to my right that amazing scent hit my nose again but this time it was a lot stronger I went on over one door and put my hand on the door knob just about to turn it. I opened the door to see a the walks are navy blue and light grey the comforter was dark grey the bed was neatly made it also had a huge tv with a big blue couch that was dark grey as well the bed was a king size that looked comfortable as crap, but before I could look at the rest of the room I heard people coming up the stairs soI quickly bolted out the room to back to my room opening it to see it was sea themed. With light teal and grey color walls they’re was a seahorse and a bunch of others on the wall. The room was beautiful! As I walked on in I see a huge queen size bed that had a light peach colored comforter as I sat on the bed I looked even more around the room seeing 3 other doors which one of them led to a baloney, while the other 2 where a mystery till I got up and walked into the first door finding the light switch, was a huge walk in closet! But there were no clothes, and it was all empty. Wonder whose room this is? I walked back out, turning the light off now that leaves one room left. I opened the door and found the switch to see a big beautiful bathroom. It was nature themed. As I walk around I see a huge claw bathtub that looks like you could take the best bubble baths in. I then continued to see a huge walk in shower that looks like you could fit more than 10 people in. It had 3 rainfall shower heads on the top then you have 4 other little shower heads on the side getting all angles and last but not least you have the jets with all the buttons and to beat it all there was even a small tv in my shower! If this is a dream I don’t ever want to wake up “Nope definitely not a dream we did it we ran and found home.” River said smiling and wagging her tail “Where have you been since we’ve been here.” I asked her. She just went back to being quiet. I just brushed it off and hopped in the shower but after I got out I realized I didn't have any clothes but just as I was about to put on my old clothes I heard a knock at my door so I wrapped a towel around me to go see who it was. I opened the door to see Liz holding a big black tee shirt and some underwear “Look I know the shirt will be a little bit big but its because it’s my son's shirt and the underwear I got from one ofour pack members this should do you tillI can take you shopping tomorrow for clothes.”she said smiling at me “Thank you Liz it really means a lot.” I smiled taking the clothes then shutting the door to put my clothes on as I got to the shirt that mouth watering scent hit my nose. Huh it must be what she washes clothes in. After I put the clothes on, I went and laid down quickly, falling asleep feeling right at home.

Just 2 more days, then I can go home to have to sleep in the same bed by myself again. I only come to other packs in hope of finding my mate but it's all always a dead end. I sigh just thinking of that and I will not sleep with no other she-wolf no matter how high rank they are. I just want my mate. My wolf Kodiak whimpers in my head “I know buddy I want her just as bad as you do.” I said trying to make him feel better I might as well start sleeping with other she-wolves at this point but as i said that Kodiak growled. “I’m sorry buddy it was just a joke.” I can't wait to get home. I really do miss my parents, but just as I said that my dad mind linked me telling me he had to tell me something. “Son, I have something really important to tell you, are you free?” he asked “Yes father what’s up?” I asked not really caring “Today I felt a presence of a new wolf enter our pack so I went to check it out and Jace was at the borders-” I let out a growl before he could finish “Now son calm down I'm not finished “Sorry dad continue.” I told he picked back up “Now as I was saying he was cursing and yelling for someone to come out and I wasn't sure of what he was talking about, so I told him he best be leaving so he turned to leave but before he could he said that's alright I'll be back for her then left and at first I was confused so I started to sniff around and picked up on a scent followed that scent to a little she-wolf who is about to turn 17, Her name is Ivy Grace Black.
