Chapter 5: The First Date

After the whirlwind of their business trip and the unexpected kiss that had intensified their connection, Ethan couldn't wait to spend more time with Grace outside of the office. As he arranged their first official date, he wanted to make it as special as possible to show Grace just how much she meant to him.

Ethan decided on a small, intimate French restaurant known for its romantic ambiance. He made sure to reserve a private table tucked away in a cozy corner, surrounded by flickering candlelight and soft music playing in the background. As he walked into the restaurant, his heart swelled with anticipation.

Grace had no idea what Ethan had planned for their evening together. She arrived at the restaurant wearing a beautiful navy blue dress and nervously smoothed down her hair. Seeing Ethan waiting for her by the entrance, she felt a flutter in her stomach and her worries started to fade away.

Ethan's eyes sparkled with delight as he took in Grace's appearance. "You look stunning," he said, offering his arm for her to take. Grace blushed and smiled, feeling a surge of happiness at his compliment.

They were led to their private table, and as they settled down, Ethan couldn't help but gaze deeply into Grace's eyes. "I want tonight to be perfect," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I want to show you just how much you mean to me."

Grace reached out and gently touched Ethan's hand, the connection between them growing stronger with each passing moment. "I feel the same way," she replied, her voice filled with warmth. "I never expected to find someone like you in my life."

"I promise to always cherish you," he whispered. "And I hope this necklace serves as a constant reminder of the love we share."
