Chapter 8: S-Tier Talent: Divine Blessing**

**Chapter 8: S-Tier Talent: Divine Blessing** To be honest, any sane person would need a solid three seconds to process Chen’s statement. A human male, promising to give a bunch of genderless Terrorfiends a child. No matter where you were, that statement was utterly mind-blowing. Terrorfiends didn’t reproduce sexually. They were born from the Dreadroot in the subterranean world. The Dreadroot absorbed the fear from across various planes, sprouted new branches, and when those branches fell after a time, they became new Terrorfiend individuals. Amidst everyone’s stunned silence, Three was the first to snap out of it, asking with palpable uncertainty: “You plan to... *heal* the Terrorfiends?” Chen snapped his fingers. “Bingo. I’m going to cast a healing spell that blankets this entire ruin. Every Terrorfiend will feel my Entity’s gaze and embrace... procreation.” “Impossible... No Cleric’s healing range could possibly be that large...” Nangong’s face turned ashen. She was starting to believe that under the immense pressure to survive, Chen had snapped. A shame, really. The guy had a good heart and was easy on the eyes—just went insane a bit too quickly. Chen didn’t bother explaining further. He just smiled. “Nothing’s impossible. When you think it is, it’s just because... your heals aren’t big enough.” Seeing Chen’s meaningful glance sweep over her, Nangong froze. Then, involuntarily, she looked down at the tightly-bound hills of her chest, her pale face flushing crimson instantly. “You...!!!” Chen ignored her. He raised his right hand, assuming the simple, unadorned starting posture for a healing spell. “How long on the Wall of Light?” Hunter’s face darkened. Finally, the guy remembered the shield’s duration was almost up. He didn’t know whether to believe Chen or not, but seeing his confidence, Hunter resigned himself to answering. “Long enough for you to show off for about 10 seconds!” “9...” “8!” “3!” “2!” “Now!” Chen shouted, and the healing light in his hand began to swell violently. At the same moment, Summer didn’t hesitate. She swallowed a handful of **[Genesis Seeds]**, and with her right hand, she plucked six spore-laden arrows from thin air. She nocked them, drew her bowstring, and aimed above. With a *whoosh*, the six arrows exploded overhead, releasing a dense cloud of proliferating energy. “1!” The Wall of Light shattered like glass, its radiance snuffed out instantly. The Terrorfiends piled against the barrier suddenly lost their support and began to tumble down. Those on the periphery, seeing the shield break, roared and charged in. The spore filaments grew wildly in the confined space. The Terrorfiends were packed so tightly, pressed against each other with almost no gaps, so a single filament could pierce through the flesh of countless fiends. Whether it was because the Terrorfiends’ frantic attacks caused a pile-up, or that one extra spore arrow made the difference, the result was the same: the time it took for the enemies to reach them was far greater than one second. Just as everyone’s faces twisted in terror, preparing to counterattack and break through, Chen’s ultimate move finally finished brewing. “Let me show you what *real* healing output looks like! Across the realms... **Divine Blessing!**” As the last word left his lips, a colossal beam of holy light struck the nearest Terrorfiend right in front of Chen. Then, the light pierced through it, refracting wildly in all directions towards its kin. This wasn’t like a simple healing spell. It was more like a healing chain that could target multiple beings. But the problem with healing chains was attenuation. The more targets, the faster the effect diminished. With the sheer number of enemies before them, this kind of healing would probably only be enough to restore their body hair. In past Trials, it wasn’t as if no one had tried healing the enemy. While the **Faith Game** was a game, it felt more like an alternate reality. There were no mechanics like “friendly fire immunity” or “healing ineffective on enemies.” If you healed an enemy, they genuinely recovered, and then proceeded to pound you into the ground. So, when Three saw Chen unleash nothing but a healing chain, his fear skyrocketed into the stratosphere. *What good could this possibly do?* But even if he didn’t believe him, it was too late now. Clinging to a fight-to-the-death resolve, he followed the plan. The instant Chen made his move, Three unleashed an “Overload”-grade Area Acceleration across the entire ruin, except for the immediate area around their group. “**Area, Acceleration!!!**” Time on the periphery fast-forwarded. The Terrorfiends abruptly sped up. Time around them congealed. Everyone froze in place.
