Chapter 18: Sweet Time

Becs’ POV

Just like I thought, Tim has ignored my existence all week. Surprise! He planned a weekend getaway with his family. He made every attempt to make it hard for me to say no. He did everything in his power to make me look like the bad guy for not going. Mom looked so disappointed but I am playing his game by his rules right now. I will seventeen soon and then just one more year to go before I can leave “his” house. Volleyball practice and dance lessons were my excuse. Thankfully mom knows how important those 2 things are to me. This week has been quiet at home. I’ve been staying in my own corner of the world. Mom is happy and Zach is still being annoying. So yes, my life is back to normal. Finally my lip is healed and the bruising faded away. Ben hasn’t been over yet. He didn’t want to rock the boat with Tim this week. His family has been so kind to me through this. I spent most of my time with them.

Thankfully we all had Friday off for a teacher in service day. I stayed home cleaning and doing my laundry. Ben was coming over in a bit to spend time with me. I think today is the day. I’m going to give Ben all of me. I can’t wait any longer. I need him in everyway. I take a nice and relaxing bubble bath with Lavender. I hear a knock at the door so I head down the steps knowing its my handsome boy.

Ben’s POV

As soon as she opened the door, she took my breath away. Her pretty dress showed off her best features and natural beauty. She was barefoot and her arms were not covered for the first time. She was simply beautiful. I swallowed hard completely lost in my thoughts as I take her in, my buddy down there at full attention already. I love them.” She said before getting on her tip toes to kiss me sweetly. I followed her to the kitchen where she got a vase out and filled with water for the flowers. “No handsome, your just right.” I smiled at him. He kissed me over my heart and laid his head on her chest listening to heart beat. “It only beats for you, love.” I whispered. I felt him tighten his embrace for a few moments before pulling a blanket over us and we took a short nap in each others arms.
