Chapter 17: Match of fury

Trigger warning: emotional abuse ahead. Becs’ POV Mom embraced me in a bear hug when she came to pick me up. She tried holding back tears but failed when she saw my face. “Forgive me Rebecca. Please.” Mom cried. “He won’t touch you ever again.” She added closely examining my jaw and lips. “Mom it’s not your fault. I’m okay.” I said trying to be strong for her. She looks completely shattered. “It is my sweet girl. I should have never left you alone. That won’t happen again.” She confirmed. “Now let’s go home.” We all hugged and said our goodbyes for the evening. Ben’s hug lasted the longest. He had no desire to ever let me go as I had no desire to leave his arms. The ride home was quiet. Mom held my hand throughout the ride as she stifled tears. I tried being as stoic as possible. Mom was in such a fragile state. She never raised her voice. I actually believe this was her and Tim’s first argument. My mom is a peace keeper. She isn’t known to raise her voice ever. Zach was in his room when we got back. Mom led me to the couch so she can sit and hold me. “I’ve been going back and forth with myself if I should tell you this. But I think you should know because you are completely innocent in all of this mess my sweet daughter. I’ve known Tim since grade school. We grew up together. In our freshman year of high school we began dating. We were inseparable until his family moved away due to his father’s work. We both ended things amicably. The next year, you dad was the  new kid in school and he courted me right away. We fell in love in an instant a lot like you and Ben. We were high school sweethearts. Tim moved back our senior year and hoped win me back but I only had eyes for your father. Tim was heartbroken but accepted that I moved on. He would eventually find his love in college making her his wife. They had Zach shortly after. But his wife died early in their marriage, leaving him to raise his son by himself.” Mom said, she gave herself a few moments to gather her thoughts. “After hearing about what happened with our family, Tim contacted me right away to show his support. He was a gentleman and wanted to make sure I was okay. It wasn’t until 1.5 years after the accident that Tim confessed that he still loved me and that Zach needed a mother in his life. That’s when we started dating again. He did so well with you during that time. I thought we could combine our families and move forward happily.” She sighed heavily. “Mom, I tried. I tried so hard to develop a loving relationship with him and Zach.” I confessed but mom stopped me before I could continue. “I know my child. I love you for that. I thought everything was okay the last few years. Tim worked and traveled non stop and you and Zach were busy being teenagers. I never read more into it when I should have. Tim confessed this morning that he has a hard time being around you because you remind him of the boy who stole me from him when I wasn’t his to begin with. You are a constant reminder of his time lost without me. Now these are his word, Rebecca. I do not feel the same way. Your father was my soulmate and life partner. I wasn’t planning on ever remarrying. But Tim was able to steal and mend my broken heart. Baby girl, I still miss your daddy terribly. If given one wish, I would wish for him to be back with us.” Mom started sobbing again holding my face with her gentle hand. “I know mom, me too. But what am I suppose to do with Tim? I cant help it if I remind him of dad.” I sighed in defeat of ever having a loving and complete family. “Rebecca, this isn’t your fault or your problem to deal with. Tim has 2 options right now. He can either take anger management courses or sign divorce papers. Because you and Zach are my number one priorities. I will not allow anyone to strike either of you. It hurts me seeing your beautiful face bruised and bloodied. I am so sorry my precious girl. I feel like I failed you.” She cried. “Oh mom, you’re the best mother a girl could ask for and you have nothing to apologize for. I should not have responded to Tim the way I did and I apologize for that. I will apologize to him too.” I said hugging mom. I am only doing this for her. I can’t see her shattered like this. “I appreciate that Rebecca. Tim was in the wrong but I am thankful you realize that you were too to some extent. I request that harsh language is not used in this household no matter how upset any of us get. I need each and every one of us to respect each other. Ben is still welcomed in this house whether Tim is here or not. I just ask that if Tim is here, you two hang out in your bedroom or out in the back yard. I don’t want him to feel unwelcomed here. I told Tim he just has to get over his differences with the boy because he is a big part of your life. Tim is staying in a hotel until decides what he wants. He is not come in this house until he proves himself to me if he chooses this family over divorce.” She explained. I see the hurt and brokenness in her eyes. I know she loves that man. f**k. How can help mend this blended family when I’m a constant reminder of my father. If it were up to me they would divorce; but I cannot see my mom this heartbroken again. Don’t be selfish, Rebecca. You have Ben. Mom needs someone too and if Tim is still that someone then so be it. “Okay mom, is there anything I can do to help make things better?” I ask genuinely. “Just what I said earlier. Now go rest. Its been a long day. You don’t have to go to school tomorrow. I’m sure you will have more bruising.” She said. “No, I’ll go because I have another match tomorrow after school I can’t miss. Coach Taylor is still out and the team needs me. I’ll be fine.” I said. “But baby, we don’t need the school questioning your bruise and busted lip.” Mom said worriedly. “Its okay mom, I’ll tell everyone  that I took a volleyball to the face if anything is said. I really don’t care what anyone thinks. Its none of their business anyways.” I shrugged. Mom just looked down to her lap not knowing what to say or do. She hates to lie but cant handle any problems right now. “It will be fine mom. I’ve had worse injuries. No one will think twice about anything. Good night mom. I love you.” I say hugging her tightly. “Good night my girl. I love you too.” We both went to our separate rooms and got ready for bed. As I laid down my phone went off. HandsomeBoy: Hey Becs, everything okay? How are you feeling? Becs: Hey Benny. Yes we are okay here. I am feeling fine. Getting for bed now. Thank you for today love. HandsomeBoy: Okay, but you come to me if you need anything. Understand? And you are very welcome baby doll. But you don’t have to thank me. I will always take care of you. I love you. Becs: I love you too. Good night. Xoxo HandsomeBoy: Sweet dreams Becs. Xoxo I start to drift off to sleep when I hear crying. I jump out of bed and run into Zach in the hallway. Mom is crying in her room. We both try to knock and open the door but she has it locked and not responding to us. “This is all your fault, Rebecca. Why can’t you just f*****g listen to dad. You make us all miserable. You’re such a bitch.” Zach spit out at me before going back to his room slamming the door. Well then….good to know where he stands. It’s funny actually, the 3 of us actually had a good week together without Tim. Stupid me to think Zach and I would ever get along. “Mom, please let me in.” I say thru the door. But my request is ignored. I slid down wall and onto the ground in defeat. I stay there and listen to my mom cry all night long. Zach came out to use the bathroom around 2am and just flipped me off cursing me under his breath. Around 4am mom’s sobs go quiet. I think she finally fell asleep. But I just sit there in the dark hallway, numb. Sleep never came to me. I heard her stir around 6:30am in the morning. I quickly get up and head into my room. She doesn’t need to know I stayed at her door all night. That would only make things worse. I head to the bathroom for a shower. I look like s**t. She was right, the bruising his worse today. My eyes are bloodshot and dark due to  lack of sleep and silent tears. It’s gonna be a long ass day. I throw on faded ripped skinny jeans, a t-shirt with my fleece zipper up sweater and black flats. No use even trying to apply makeup to cover up my dark circles under my eyes or the bruising. I dry my hair and head downstairs. I’m not even hungry but I take a apple to appease my mom before heading out the door to school. My phone buzzes. Handsome boy: Good morning sunshine. Need a ride? If he could only see me right now….sunshine wouldn’t be a way to describe me.. Becs: Morning Handsome. No, I’ll walk today. Need fresh air. I’ll see you there. HandsomeBoy: Okay, I love you baby doll. See you in a little while. Becs: Love you too Benny. I put my phone in my back pocket and walk towards the school. If only my walk would be peaceful. As soon as I got off my street, I see his damn Lexus sedan with the window rolled down. f**k. Its too early for this s**t. “Rebecca, get in the car.” Tim demanded. f**k my life. I get in because I really don’t need a public show down with this fucker. “Morning Tim.” I said monotone. “No need for pleasantries. I do not like you. You will stay the hell out of my way when I am at home. You are not a part of this family. You should’ve died along with that bastard who stole Lily from me. But you didn’t and I’m stuck with you for now. You will always find a excuse to not come with my wife, my son or myself when I want to take MY FAMILY anywhere. I don’t care if its out to eat or on vacation. You will not go. As soon as you turn 18, you are out of here. And I don’t want to see your ugly f*****g face again. I know my wife put ground rules in the house and I respect them to get back on her good side. But your obey my rules overall. Or you won’t like the consequences you worthless slut.” He hissed at me. “Whatever you say Tim.” I say without emotion looking at him in his dead eyes. He grabbed my arm harshly pulling me towards him. “Yes, it is whatever I say b***h. And I know you harm yourself.” He squeezed over cuts causing pain. “But don’t worry, I won’t tell Lily. I take joy in the fact that you hurt yourself on purpose. It just confirms you’re a piece of s**t that needs to be disposed of. Now get the f**k out of my car.” He roughly let go of me as I opened the car door. f*****g asshole. “By the way, Rebecca, it would be beneficial on  your part that you keep this conversation to yourself.” He said before driving off. Phone buzzes again. HandsomeBoy: Where are you? Class started. Fuck. Now I’m late. Becs: On my way. This day is f*****g awesome so far. I get to school and they around locked the doors. Great. I ring the intercom and the secretary answers. “It’s Rebecca Sampson. Student ID is 775. I am running late today.” I say over the intercom. “Yes, Miss Sampson. I’ll send someone to open the door for you. But stop here for a pass to your first class.” The secretary says. “Yes, ma’am. Thank you.” I responded. Oh f*****g hell. Today is not my day. They send the student helper in the office to let me in and of course its Tara. Why today of all days. “Damn, Rebecca. Did your smart mouth finally get you slapped or is Ben finally tired of your ugly ass face?” Tara sneered. “Not today Tara. I am in no f*****g mood to deal with your s**t today.” I glared back at her. She just smirks and walks me to the office. I know I haven’t heard the last of her today. I just know it. I walk into the office for my pass. “Oh my gosh, sweetie? What happened?” The secretary asks loudly making the whole office look at me, even the Principle and VP walked out. f*****g hell. “I’m fine. Took a volleyball to the face.” I said nonchalantly. “Yea right, Rebecca. I heard about your boyfriend putting a kid in the hospital. That was a friend’s cousin he attacked. Ben has anger issues, you probably set him off.” Tara said with poison. f*****g b***h. “Wow, Tara. One you do not know the whole story and two Ben has never laid a finger on me. So watch what lies you speak. You can do irreversible damage talking s**t like that.” I hissed at her getting into her face. “Enough girls.” The principle yelled. “Tara if I find that you spread rumors like this, you will be suspended and kicked off the cheerleading squad. I suggest you finish organizing those files that you’ve been tasked with. Rebecca, my office now.” He said sternly. s**t. s**t. s**t. This f*****g day. “Have a seat Miss Sampson.” He said pointing to the chair in front of his desk. “Ben was not in the wrong. He defended that asshole’s girlfriend. He was assaulting her. And no, Ben did not hit me. Though I can’t say he wouldn’t go off on the person who tried hurting me.” I said defending Ben. I don’t need Tara to ruin anything Ben. “I am well aware Miss Sampson. No need to defend your boyfriend. I see how he protects you. But I do need to know about your busted lip and bruising.” He said staring right at me. “Like I said, it was a volleyball to the face. It happens. You know how I play.” I shrug my shoulders. “Yes, I do know. Why do you look tired? Did you not sleep?” He asked. Damn, enough with the third degree already! “I didn’t get the best sleep, no. Just one of those restless nights.” I answered. “I’m letting this go this time, Miss Sampson, but if I see another bruise like that in the future; I’m having a talk with your parents.” He threatened. “Yes, sir.” I replied. “Okay, now get to class. And if you ever need anything, my door is open Rebecca.” He said kindly. “Thank you.” I said walking out the door. Tara handed me the hall pass with a smug look. She was about to say something when I stopped her. “Don’t Tara. I swear to God.” I spat at her. She just rolled her eyes and huffed off. Great I missed half the class already. I walk in and hand the teacher my pass. “Well, thanks for joining us Miss Sampson. You will need to borrow notes from a classmate. Have a seat.” The teacher said. Ben’s eyes were glued on me. I see him clench his jaw and ball his hands into fists seeing how I bruised. Actually all students had their eyes glued to me. Surprise surprise. I hate this day and it barely started. I sat down and Ben reached over touching my shoulder. “I’m fine, Ben.” I whispered. He wasn’t having it. He sighed and began taking notes again. I started taking notes until end of the period. He dismissed the whole class except me…great. I know Ben is antsy to talk to me. If it wasn’t for the match tonight I would’ve stayed home and locked myself in my room. “Rebecca, what is going on? You are never late. And frankly you look horrible.” The teacher said. Here we go again. “Sir, firstly I have already spoke to the principle. I was just running late this morning due to having a restless night and not sleeping well. As for the bruise, I took a volleyball to the face. Other than that, I am good.” I said flatly. “Okay, just making sure. Remember to borrow notes from someone.” He said. “I will, Ben will let me use his.” I said walking out the door and into a hard wall. Of course Ben would be waiting right there. “Becs, what’s going on? You look exhausted.” He said lighting my chin with his finger and examining my jaw. “I didn’t sleep. And had a run in with Tara at the office since I was late.” I answered. “Why didn’t you sleep?” He asked concerned. “Please, not now Ben. Can we just go to our next class. I need this day to be over.” I said starting to walk away. He grasped my hand as we walked to the next class. Of course everyone is staring and whispering. “I swear I’ll lose my s**t if anyone comes at me today.” I say in a whisper so only that Ben could hear. He tightened his grip around my hand to let me know he heard me. The rest of the morning Ben made sure no one got in my face. I am so tired. Its getting harder to pay attention during each class. It was lunch time finally but I didn’t want to sit in the cafeteria. I didn’t even want to eat. “Can we sit outside?” I aske Ben and Matt. “Yea sure, but aren’t you getting lunch?” Matt asked. “Not hungry, I’ll meet you two out in the stands.” I said. Ben didn’t look happy about that. Matt ended up deciding to eat lunch in the cafeteria quickly and head to the library for the rest of lunch. Ben found me laying on my back on one of the benches in the stands. “Becs, you need to eat something.” He said sadly. “I’m really not hungry.” I said with my eyes still closed. “Well, did you at least eat breakfast this morning?” He asked. “You’re not going to leave me be, are you” I sighed. “No, I’m not.” He answered. “No, I haven’t ate anything today.” I said. “Baby doll, please at least eat this sandwich and I’ll let you be. You can’t play on an empty stomach.” He pleaded. I sat up as he handed me a PB&J sandwich. He sat down and pulled me closer to his side so I could rest my head on his shoulder. “Why didn’t you sleep last night?” He asked looking out onto the field. “Mom was up crying all night. She refused to let me or Zach in her room. So I sat by her door all night.” I answered. “Here you need water.” He said passing me his water bottle. “I’m sorry, Becs. I’m sure all of this is hard on your mom.” He said compassionately. “But why were you late? And what happened with Tara?” He asked. “Please Ben. Can we talk about this later. I need to close my eyes for a little bit. He sighed in defeat knowing I need a break. “Okay baby. Come here.” He whispered as he grabbed my hips and cradled me into his lap. “Take a nap. I’ll wake you up before we need to go in.” He whispered kissing my head. Ben’s POV Within seconds she was out like a light. Thankfully she had 45 mins to rest. My heart sank when she walked into class this morning. I was hoping she wouldn’t bruise that bad. I just wish she would tell me what happened this morning. Something is eating at her and I know it isn’t about Tara. My thoughts were interrupted when Carlos and a few other teammates came up. “Is she okay?” Carlos asked quietly not wanting to wake her up. “She’s fine, just needs sleep.” I said back. “I just wanted you to know that there’s a rumor going around that you hit her. Also that you put some kid in the hospital at your old school. We’ve been trying to stop it.” Carlos said. “f*****g hell, why can’t anyone at this school chill the f**k out. No I did not hit my girlfriend. And yes I did put a kid in the hospital. But what people refuse to realize is that kid sexually assaulted his girlfriend and I stopped him before he r***d her.” I whispered angrily. “We know brother. The principle is putting out the fire right now. He believes Tara started it since she was in the office this morning with Rebecca. She can be a b***h sometimes.” Carlos said shaking his head. “How’d she get hurt anyways.” He asked. f**k, why do people need to know every detail. “She told me she took a volleyball to the face. You know how crazy she plays. I guess she was practicing over the weekend.” I said plainly. I hate lying especially when I want to ruin that bastard of a step father. But I know her mom can’t handle the backlash if word gets out. “Yes, I do. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often. She’s a beast out there. Well we’ll go so we don’t wake her. Just wanted to give you a heads up.” Carlos said leaving with the guys. “Thanks.” I say as they go. I knew it, I knew someone would bring that s**t up. “Babe, its time to wake up.” I said softly kissing her head. “I’m up.” She said sitting up on my lap. “Thanks.” She added. I gently kissed her lips. “Carlos was just hear, rumors are going around.” I started to say before Becs interrupted. “What a b***h. I knew Tara wouldn’t keep her damn mouth shut. Its about you isn’t it?” She said angrily. “It is, but everything is fine. Don’t worry about it.” I said. “Too late. The Principle better keep his word about suspending her and kicking her off the cheer squad. f*****g bitch.” Becs hissed. “So that’s what this morning was about?” I asked. “It’s a part of it. Apparently the principle knows about what happened with that kid.” She added. “He does, my parents made sure he was aware of the situation if something like this happens. Seriously, don’t worry about it. My dad is ready to take anyone to court if the defame my character for no reason.” I said devilishly. “I still want to kick her ass though.” Becs sighed. “Come on baby doll, lets get you to class. Don’t listen to anyone in there. I’ll make sure everyone backs off.” I said standing up and taking her hand to bring to my lips for a kiss. As walked side by side I wrap my arm around her waist but not before patting her butt. “Behave, Wilder.” She said sternly. I just wink at her causing her to crack a smile. I haven’t seen her smile all day. We walk in as we see Tara leaving the school with her parents. Of course she was crying her crocodile tears. I’m sure her parents will find a way to keep her on the squad. Its disgusting how some people never suffer the consequence of their actions. All three of them glare at me until I give them my ‘don’t f**k with me’ look. They scurried passed us. Yes, they will be getting a call from my dad. … The afternoon was pretty much the same as this morning. I had to make people back off of Becs. The principle did call me into his office to apologize about the rumors. He said he kept his word and suspended Tara and got her kicked off the squad. He had also called my parents already. So its safe to assume my dad made his calls. I hope this will teach Tara a life lesson and she can grow from fit and be a better person. Becs has been in a mood all day. I know more happened this morning that she’s not telling me yet. I don’t know how she is going to play in her match. I asked her to sit out and just coach but she wasn’t having that. I can’t blame her though, I’d be the same way. She has grit, that’s for sure. My parents came to her match and sat with Matt and me. We were watching their warmups. Becs’ is giving it her all on to focus on the match but I can tell she’s struggling. What the f**k! I run down the stand make my way to Becs. “Becs, your mom just came and Tim is with her.” I said as I pulled her aside. “What the hell?” She whispered as her faced turned red. She was angry. “That son of a b***h. He is bold.” She hissed. “Rebecca, over here.” Her mom called out to her all smiles. We both walk over hand in hand to the obviously reunited couple. I look up at my parents scowling. My dad makes his way over to us. He’s not happy either. “Hi mom, Tim.” She said deadpanned. “Look my sweet girl, Tim brought you a surprise.” She said cheerfully. Becs is frozen in place. I step closer to her. “Rebecca I got you these. Pretty flowers for a pretty girl.” Tim said with faked charm. She took them with her free hand but then Tim grabbed her forearms tightly before pulled her into a hug. “I’m sorry baby girl for everything. But today is a new day and I can’t wait to see you play.” He says. Becs is squeezing my hand tightly. I go to pull her away but Tim takes the hint and steps back grinning at her and me like a devil. If I ever put another person in the hospital, its going to be this bastard. My dad makes eye contact with me and tells me to calm down with his expression. Becs plastered a fake smile on her face and said thank you before turning towards me. She’s beyond angry. I can see it in her eyes. “You must be Mr. and Mrs. Wilder. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. Tim Wright, MD.” He says with charisma. He shakes my dad’s hand as my dad steps into him in a dominating way. He goes to say something but bites his tongues and forces a smile. “You too, Tim.” Dad said calmly. He shook my mom’s hand as well as dad kept her at his side. He does not like the man. I knew he wouldn’t. I pull Becs away as they greet each other. “Are you okay.” I asked grimly. “No, I’m f*****g pissed. This is all bull s**t. f*****g bullshit.” She hissed with fire in her eyes. “I hate that evil man.” She added. “I know, baby. Me too. Do you need to leave. I’ll take you anywhere. Just tell me.” I softly rub her arms to help calm her down. “No, game is about to start, just go sit and try not to kill him. Can you take these too? f*****g bold bastard.” She whispered. “Come here baby doll. I love you.” I say hugging her. “ I love you too.” She said before I went back up to our seats. What did that man say to get Becs’ mom to forgive him so quickly. Something isn’t right. … Becs’ unleashed her fury during the match. She has always played aggressively but this is different. Her intensity to turned up to 110. No one can keep up with her. She is unleashing everything on that ball each time she makes contact. The other team is almost afraid to touch it. She’s gonna take off someone’s head I they don’t duck fast enough. f**k, she’s starting to wheeze. The referee called a time out and called for the nurse to come over. A team mate gets her inhaler but its not working. Becs throws it aside and starts walking out of the gym in to the hallway trying to catch her breath ignoring the nurse. I run down to her. Lily and Tim close behind me. Becs just keeps walking up and down the hallway trying to control her breathing as each team took a knee. The nurse keeps trying to help her but she pushes her away. “Becs come here.” I said as I pulled backwards against my chest. I wrap my arms around her waist and start our breathing exercises. “Feel me baby. Breath in and now out. There you go.” I said. Tim and Lily catch up. “Where’s her inhaler?” Tim demanded trying to take charge. “It didn’t work for her sir.” The nurse said. “Impossible, go get it now.” He said acting worried. If I wasn’t helping my girl right now, I would punch in his f*****g smug face. “Its okay, Tim. Ben knows how to help her.” Lily said calmly as she held Becs’ hand. “She has a medical condition, honey. Getting a hug from her boyfriend won’t treat it.” He spat out. He better be thankful my hands are full right now. “Tim, please go back to the stand. Ben is helping her. Her wheezing is already getting better. This is how her father used to help her through attacks It works for her.” Lily said trying to turn Tim around and away from us. He raised his hands in defeat and nodded his head before turning on his heal as the nurse handed him her inhaler. Something isn’t right. He didn’t even look at it. He just pocketed it. Becs’ breathing is back to normal and we all head back into the gym. Everyone claps seeing Becs is okay. She refused to be benched and continued the match playing just a crazy as before. She didn’t say two words out in the hall when her breathing became normal. I felt the tenseness in the body. The only thing fueling her right now is anger. She finished the match and strong and of course our team obliterated the rivals. Tim offered to take everyone out to dinner but Becs said that she already had plans with me. Before anyone could object she led out of the gym and to my car. “What’s going on Becs. What the hell was that tonight?” I asked after we got into the car. “Not here, just drive somewhere.” She said flatly. Her anger is radiating from her body.  I pulled in at the park and turned to her waiting for her spill. She told me everything that happened and what was said to her this morning. “So yea, all the bullshit at my match was a show for my mom’s benefit.” She growled. “f**k Becs, that’s why he grabbed your arms the way that he did. He knew you had fresh cuts.” I said hitting my stearing wheel. Son of b***h, I should’ve stopped him.” I gritted. “You didn’t know Ben. And I was too tired and upset to even think about my conversation with him this morning. But him showing up tonight was the last straw.” She said. Just then my phone rang. Its my dad. “Hey dad, what’s up?” I asked. “How’s our girl doing? That was some show both on and off the court tonight.” He said. “Rebecca is angry. That son of a b***h put on a s**t show for all of you.” I said. “I know son. He obviously did it to get in good graces with Lily. Unfortunately it worked. We are going to dinner with them now. I suggest you get Rebecca home and away in her room before they get back. She is in no condition to face that man again tonight. I would rather her stay with us but Lily is on cloud nine right now.” He sighed in defeat. “I know dad. I will get her home. She’ll be staying with us a lot more anyways since she isn’t allowed to go with them anywhere.” I said sarcastically. “I know, it’s a messed up situation but it’s probably for the best. We’ll talk more later son. Please tell Rebecca we love her and that I need a hug next time.” He said warmly. “I will dad, thanks.” I said before hanging up. “You owe dad a hug.” I smile trying to break up the tension in the air. “Yes I do.” She smiled weakly. “I’m not allowing him to touch again.” I promised. “I’m pretty sure this was a one time thing. He won’t come again. Since mom is happy again, he will go back to ignoring me as long as we stay out of each other’s way. So things will go back to normal again.” She said resting her head on the window. “I hope you’re right Becs. Now let me get you something to eat before I take you back home. And I will not take no for an answer.” I said sternly. “Fine, can we just go Wendys or somewhere fast. I am ready for bed.” Becs said. “Sounds good, split a chocolate frosty?” I asked. “Always.” Smiled tiredly before pecking my lips.
