Becs’ POV
This week has flew by. I am so excited to be going to LA for the ball. It will be a totally new experience for me. I have never dressed up in a gown before or been to a classy dance. Hell, I never went to any school dances either. I have no idea what type of gown to even look for, thankfully Mrs. Wilder has ideas. I have a feeling shopping with her in LA of all places will be crazy. My thoughts wonder to how fun this weekend is going to be when I hear a knock on my bedroom door.
“Hold on, I’m not decent. Let me get a robe on.” I call out knowing full well whose behind that door. Without hesitation Ben slips in and closes the door quickly but then has a disappointed look on his face seeing me fully dressed and grinning at him. “Mean.” He said puffing out his kissable lips and pouting. “Not mean, you’re the one who barged in.” I retorted jokingly. “What I love seeing your body.” He smirked walking up to me. “Can I help you?” I smile at him sweetly but he wasn’t having that. “Yes, you can actually. But first, are you all packed?” He asked staring directly into my eyes. “I am.” I answer and before I knew it he gently pushed me onto the bed and hovered over me. “Good, then we have time for this.” He said smashing into my lips. Our intense make out session lasted only until his phone rang. Just as things were getting hot too. He groaned and pulled away to answer it.
“Hello?” He answered slightly annoyed. “Yea, we are on our way. See you there.” He cut the call. He sighed pecking my lips one last time before standing back and helping me to my feet a well. “Time to go, baby doll. But we will be picking this back up later.” He winked making me blush. “I love that.” He whispered lightly caressing my rosy cheeks. I smile up at him and planted a kiss on his lips before pulling away. “Let’s go handsome.” I said going for my suit case but he stopped me and picked it up himself. We headed out to his car and met his parents at the small private airport.
“You’ve flown before, right?” Ben asked as he pulled into the parking lot. “Twice when I was little. I don’t really remember.” I answered looking forward to getting back on a plane. Boy was I wrong. Ben smiled his classic smile and led me right to his family’s helicopter. “Ummmm, Ben?” I question. “I got you baby. Its perfectly safe.” He reinsured before kissing my temple. He helped me load up and secured our suit cases. He made sure I was buckled in properly and placed the head set on my head and adjusted it to fit before putting his on. He tapped my nose lovingly and he winked giving me his million dollar smile. His parents were already loaded and waiting. Ben and his dad did the pre flight check and Ben took the pilots seat. “Aren’t you just full of surprises.” I say through the head set. All three of them chuckled. His mom took a picture of us two and then had Mr. Wilder and Ben turn towards us from the front for a picture. I could tell each one of them were in their element. My very first helicopter ride and my boyfriend is the pilot. I am so proud of him and excited for me!
The whole trip was beautiful. I loved every second of it. Ben and his dad pointed different views for me to check out while I was in the air. I can definitely get use to this type of travel. Ben is such a talented pilot. Everything was smooth especially when he set the bird on the ground. I am in complete awe of him. I swear there is nothing he cannot do. Even before Ben and Mr. Wilder were done with the post flight protocols; Mrs. Wilder ushered me into a gorgeous Lincoln Town Car with a driver. All I could do was wave and blow a kiss to my handsome love. I could see him laughing as mom was pulling me away to begin our dress shopping.
…
“Rebecca, try this one on with those heels.” Mrs. Wilder handed me the millionth dress I tried on today. Nothing really seemed my style or stood out to either of us. I took the dress and checked it out. It was a royal blue floor length gown. The chest was fully covered but skin tight with long lacy sleeves and it was completely backless. It laid dangerously low above my ass. It was completely gorgeous. It was sleek and sexy and fit me like a glove. Talk about putting my curves on show. Thankfully it had a built in bra that worked well. I walked out to model it for Mrs. Wilder and the attendant.
“Oh my word, sweetie. This is it. Turn around.” She said excitedly. “I love it, but I’m not so sure of the back. Its not too much?” I asked. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love this dress but not sure if it will fit the theme.
“Oh no Rebecca. Its perfect. Believe me, show off your body while you still can. Your dancer’s back is absolutely stunning. This dress shows off all your beautiful features. I mean, it doesn’t need hemmed or anything!” She cheered clapping her hands.
“That dress is a show stopper with you in it.” The attendant complimented. “Thank you, I love it!” I smiled widely. Mrs. Wilder has me in 5inch strappy heels to complete the look. Luckily I hid away my other heels for the ballroom dance. They will match this dress as well when that time comes. “Do you think Ben will like it?” I asked twirling around in front of the mirror.
“My son will love it. I don’t think he’ll know what to do when he sees you. But I do know his eyes will never leave you.” She laughed. Just then my phone buzzed indicating I had a text message. "Speak of the devil." I chuckle.
HandsomeBoy: I only have one request baby doll. I know girls like to get their hair down all fancy but please keep your crazy curls for me. Pretty please!
Becs: For you, always.
HandsomeBoy: Thank you my love. I will see you soon. Xoxo
Becs: Not if I see you first Benny. Xoxo
“I think we are done here! Now time for hair and nails.” Mrs. Wilder exclaimed. Damn I’m getting the full treatment today.
I kept my promised and left my curls natural. I actually ended up doing my own hair. I put it up in a loose up do with curls strategically placed around my face. I think I am ready for my first ball. I feel like a princess.
…
Mr. Wilder and Ben were called down to the event room early due to influential businessmen and women coming a bit early to talk. Mr. Wilder wanted Ben to meet them as the future CEO of his company. They had gotten ready in Ben’s hotel room as us girls got ready in his parents room. We kept missing each other throughout the day. I am so ready to see him. Thankfully the ball is happening at the hotel we are staying in.
Mrs. Wilder and I make a grand entrance to the ball. Well, she does. I’m not used to all of this. Photographers were everywhere along with some media personalities. People were trickling in casually. I looked around for my handsome boy as Mrs. Wilder stopped and talked to a few people. She made sure to introduce me as Ben’s lovely girlfriend especially to younger guys she noticed eyeing me up. I am so thankful for her. I finally see him standing with his father talking to a few older men. Damn, he’s drop dead gorgeous. His jet black tuxedo is tailored to perfection showing off his build with a cute black bowtie. Ben can clean up real nice. But my favorite is his disheveled hair. It’s hopeless and I love it. I so want to jump him right now. We’re gonna need to find a coat closet or something real soon. Holy s**t, he’s handsome.
Ben’s POV
I felt a pair of eyes on me as dad introduced me to few of his old colleagues. I drifted my gaze to the pair of eyes watching me knowing full well who they belong too. As soon as my eyes landed on her, she took my breath away. Absolutely stunning. The most gorgeous girl in the world. Dad noticed my attention sway. “Go ahead son. Get your girl.” He chuckled along with the other men when they saw who I was looking at. We both walked towards each other giving our best smiles.
“Wow, baby doll. You look absolutely gorgeous.” I drool eyeing her from head to toe. As soon as she was closer I noticed that she grew so I took a step back and eyed her feet. She caught what I was doing and showed me her high heels making me smile. Even her feet are so pretty.
“Damn Benny. You clean up real nice.” She smiled up at my while resting her hands on my chest. “So sexy and drop dead gorgeous.” She whispers causing me to smirk. I go to wrap my arms around her. “What the hell?” I gulp feeling that her dress is backless. She just grins at me as I feel her back up and down and down so more…making me raise my brow at her. She giggles as I spin her around. “f**k Becs. This is sexy as hell.” I growled lowly. Hot damn she is so sexy showing off her back like that. “How am I going to keep other guys away from you?” I say trying to gather my composure. “Thank your mom. She found this dress.” She said reaching up for a kiss. “I want to take you right now baby doll.” I whispered into her lips only for her to hear. “I thought the same as soon as I saw you.” She whispered back. We kissed again sweetly before we pulled away for a moment. “I have something for you.” I say with a smile as I pull out of a small box and open it. “Oh my gosh, Ben. It’s the necklace. How did you know. I never showed you or said anything.” She said teary eyed. “I saw you briefly light up looking at it that day. Its actually goes with the promise ring. Open it my love.” I coo at her. Her reaction warmed my heart right up. She gasped when she saw our very first picture and the picture we took at the party in the locket. “I love this, Ben. Thank you so much.” She said throwing her arms around me in a bear hug. “You are very welcome Becs. Let me put it on you.” I kissed her forehead and stepped away as she handed me the necklace and turned her back. I gingerly bring the necklace over her head and around her delicate neck to clasp it. I let my hands softly glide down her bare back before hugging her from behind. “I love you Rebecca. Forever.” I whisper is her ear. She turned in my arms to face me. The necklace looking beautiful around her neck. “I love you too Benjamin. Forever.” She whispered back. We shared one more sweet kiss before making our rounds to the guests. I have to introduce my girl to a few people who didn’t believe I actually have one now. Mom and dad always made me come to these things but I always kept to myself and people watched unless meeting important people for my dad. And I already see other girls giving Becs the death glare. That won’t do. Why can’t others just be happy that I am finally happy. They need to realize that none of them ever had a chance with me. I wanted my first kiss, my first time, and when the time is right; one long happy marriage and kids with just one person. That person is my Becs and always will be.
“Ben, Rebecca come over here. I have a few people I would like you to meet.” Mr. Wilder called us over with a big smile. “My sweet Rebecca. You look lovely this evening.” Mr. Wilder winked at Becs. What is he up too? “Thank you Mr. Wilder.” Becs smiled back. “Everyone you remember my son Ben and this is his beautiful girlfriend Rebecca. He finally has met his match.” He chuckles. “Gee, thanks dad.” I laugh knowing full well that is absolutely correct. “Hi all.” Becs waves sticking close to my side. Well she has no choice since my arm is wrapped around her waist. She isn’t going anywhere. “Rebecca this is Mr. and Mrs. Kyle and their daughter Markie and her friend Stacy. And this is Ms. Wolf with her son Aaron.” Dad introduced a few others as we all exchanged hellos. Aaron better keep those eyes to himself though. As much as Becs looks amazing in that backless dress I just want to cover her up and tuck her away from these creeps. Then there’s Markie. As ugly hearted and mean spirited as they come. She’s your typical lead cheerleader who is only nice to you when she wants something. She dresses for attention and wears way too much makeup. It’s a shame because I know her parents raised her better. You would never know by the way she is looking at Becs. If looks for kill. My girl would be a goner.
“Nice hair.” Markie said with a fake ass smile. While looking at Becs up and down. I saw a sparkle in Becs eyes and a shitty grin on her lips. Markie has met her match.
“Aw that’s so sweet of you Markie. I did it just how my handsome boy here likes. He practically begged me to keep my natural curls and not try too hard.” She chimed before planting a kiss on my cheek. I love this girl. Markie huffed sarcastically and turned on her heel to stomp away as Stacy smiled at us apologetically and scurried behind her. “Nice meeting you.” Becs called out being ignored. “That. That was awesome baby doll.” I pulled her into a hug. “You pissed off the biggest b***h this town has. I am so proud.” I whisper in her ear. “Well, what do you expect my Benny? She was eye raping you. I can’t have that. You’re mine.” She said possessively. “I’m not the only one being eye r***d. I want to cover you up and tuck you away my love because you’re mine too.” We laughed with each other before checking out the fancy appetizer table. We goofed off with each other and stole kisses at our table for a little bit. The ball is getting underway now.
“Hey Benny, I’m going to use the restroom. Be right back.” She said as I nodded watching her hips sway perfectly as she walked away. “You’re a fox, gorgeous.” I call out making her blush.
“Oh Ben, why are you always making that poor girl blush.” My mom giggled as she sat down beside me. “Because I can and I love it.” I smiled classically at her. “She is quite the vision isn’t she. Everyone wants to know who she is. You two are breaking a lot of hearts tonight. But I am so thankful you are finally having fun at one of these functions.” Mom says cheerfully. “She’s the most beautiful girl in the world. And I want to hide her away. That dress is something else mom and I hear I have you to thank.” I laugh. “Its not the dress sweetie, it’s the girl in the dress. She is truly unique.” Mom replied. I nodded in agreement. “Yes she is. I want to spend the rest of my life with her.” I admitted. “I know you do my son. Your father and I can’t wait for her to become our daughter in law.” She said teary eyed. “We just adore her.” She said trying to fix my hair. “My word Ben, I do not know what you do to your hair.” She exclaimed. “I know mom, I tried. Nothing works.” I chuckle at her as she continues trying to fix it to no avail.
Becs’ POV
Using the restroom and dealing with this dress is not a fun time. I was still in a stall when I was trying to fix my gown properly when I hear Markie, Stacy and another girl walk into the bathroom. And guess who they were talking about. Yes, yours truly.
“Who does that b***h think she is. What a slut. Ben really lowered his standards with that ugly bitch.” Markie spat. Ouch. This girl needs to be taught a lesson.
“She seemed nice and is really pretty, Markie. And we don’t know if she’s a slut.” Stacy squeaked trying to defend me.
“Shut up, Stacy. Don’t you dare defend that thing. I’ve known Ben a lot longer. He should be with me.” She hissed in frustration. “Yeah, Markie and Ben would look so good together. That slut must have her claws in deep.” The 3rd girl agreed with Markie. “But Markie, Ben was never interested in anyone, ever. He finally looks happy with her.”
“You know what Stacy? The only reason I allow you to be around me is because you are somewhat attractive and a good cheerleader. That and our parents are best friends. So watch yourself before I destroy your social life.” Markie snapped in her face before slapping her. Oh hell no. I whip the stall door open and stomp out getting into Markie’s face completely catching her off guard. Thank God this stall had a sink in it and my hands were washed already because I snapped.
“You lay another finger on Stacy again, I will snap your skinny ass in half. That is no way to treat a friend. As for Ben and I, we truly make each other happy. I do hope one day you find a patient and loving guy that will love and cherish your vile ass. Grow up Markie.” I said calmly and in a low tone. My complete demeanor changed as I saw my reflection in Markie’s eyes. I think Ben is rubbing off on me. I look scary. I didn’t give Markie time to respond before I turned to Stacy. “Stacy, would you sit with me at the Wilder’s table?” I asked kindly. She nodded her head with a smile and we linked arms heading out of the bathroom. Leaving Markie and that other girl stunned.
“Are you okay, Stacy?” I asked her. “I’m fine. My face still stings a little but its not bad. Thank you for all of that. Markie really is a bad friend. I only stick around because my parents asked me too.” She explained. “Well it might be time to talk to them about that. And thank you for defending me when you really don’t know me. I appreciate that.” I smiled at her. “We actually met a few times. We are rival volleyball teams. I always admired you when we played.” She admitted. I took another look at her. “You know, you do look familiar now that you said that. What school do you go too?” I asked. “Just the town over from yours.” She answered. “Oh good, I am friends with a few guys there. Do you know Dave and Mikey and their group? I’ll text them to look out for you. I know they will make sure Markie doesn’t hurt you in anyway, especially if she’s anything like Brandi. They are good guys.” I offered hoping she would let me. “Oh yea, I know of them. I actually like Dave but I am too shy to talk to him. And Brandi and Markie are actually best friends.” She chimed. “Oh well, that makes sense.” I laugh. “As for Dave, just talk to him. He actually really easy going and sweet. Just start with a hello and see how it goes. I am curious though, Ben didn’t attend that school. How does Markie know him?” I asked trying to connect the dots. “Oh, she has pretty much stalked him ever since her parents started bringing her to these events. He never gave her the time of day. He actually always scared me.” She giggled. “But he looks so happy with you. Its nice seeing that side of him for once.” She smiled. “He is truly amazing and I am blessed he came into my life.” I admitted. We finally got back to the table.
“Hey mind if Stacy joins our table?” I ask Ben and his parents. “No not at all, sweetie.” Mrs. Wilder chirped. Ben leaned toward me and said “You not only pissed her off but stole her friend too? Nice!” He said in a low voice winking at Stacy and I. “Stacy, sweetie, why is your cheek all red?” Mrs. Wilder asked with concern. It is evident that someone hit her. “Markie got a little too ahead of herself and needed knocked down a few pegs.” I explained so Stacy wouldn’t have too. Ben raised that sexy brow of his. “And no, she isn’t laying on the bathroom floor bleeding. I know how to use my words Wilder unlike someone people I know.” I clarify making him chuckle and put his hands up in the air in defeat. “Well as long as you 2 are okay. That Markie girl is a spoiled brat.” Mrs. Wilder whispered making us laugh.
We all laughed and had fun as we ate the different courses. Stacy really seemed more relaxed but wanted to go check in with her parents at another table. Ben kept his hand on my back gently caressing my skin through out the meal. His touch is so warm and loving. As much as he wants me covered, he’s loving the skin to skin contact. I looked over at him smiling as he drew circles on my back. He noticed and turned his head giving me his smile and wink. s**t! I forgot my shoes. The ball room dancing will be coming up soon. Mr. Wilder saw my face as I realized. He lightly nodded to me knowing I needed to step away. Everyone was finishing their meals. “Hey Ben come with me. I have a few more people I need you to meet.” Mr. Wilder said saving the day. Mrs. Wilder was already socializing so no need to distract her. Ben shook his head and turned to me. “I’ll be right back babe.” He said kissing my cheek. I just smile at him and watch them walk away in the opposite direction I need to go. As soon as they were far enough away I made a B line for the entrance to duck out for a few minutes. Stacy saw me. “Hey where you going?” She asked breathless as she caught up to me. “I left something in my room. Want to walk with me?” I smile not minding her company. “Sure!” She chimed. We talked volleyball and boys the whole time. I swiped me key card and opened the room door. “Wow, the Wilder’s have connections. These are super nice rooms.” She looked around amazed. “They seem too, don’t they. They are really great people.” I said with adoration. She noticed Ben’s clothes laying on the only bed in the room. “So you two are sharing a room.” She wiggled her eye brows giggling. “We are.” I chuckle. “Damn, your parents must trust you guys.” She sighs, a hint of jealously in her voice. “Well Stacy, we are responsible.” I laughed hoping she will leave it at that. I am not one to kiss and tell. Ben and I’s s*x life is only between us and no one else. “Does it hurt? I’m a virgin. I am waiting for the right person.” She said embarrassed. “Don’t be ashamed Stacey. I’m not one to talk openly about my s*x life but I will say that it does hurt at first. But when you are with the right person who truly loves you and treats you with respect the initial pain is so worth it. Its only temporary. You will find the right person. Just don’t rush yourself ever. You will know when you are ready. Never let anyone talk you into anything. Promise me.” I said holding her hand. She smiled up at me. “Thank you Rebecca. I promise. You are a way better friend than Markie ever was. She makes fun of me a lot for being a virgin.” She said. “Don’t let her pressure you into anything. Your prince charming will come along one day and steal your heart. He will cherish it, protect it, and treat it like a precious gem that it is.” I say stealing Ben’s words and giving her a hug. “Ben does all of that for you, doesn’t he?” She asked with teary eyes. “He does every single day.” I say softly still hugging her. “Thank you Rebecca. You really are a nice person and good friend. I hope we can stay in contact.” She smiled gratefully. “Oh we will for sure. We will make plans to hang out very soon.” I promised grabbing my heels and leading us out of them room. “What’s with the other shoes?” Stacy asked. “It’s a surprise, so please don’t say anything to anyone. Ben’s dad and I are competing in the ball room dance competition tonight. Ben and his mom doesn’t know. We wanted to surprise them.” I explained in hushed tones. “Oh that’s awesome. But isn’t that a father/daughter thing?” She asked not knowing anything about me. Breathe Rebecca. Its okay. You can explain this to her. Its okay. “It is. My father passed away a while ago and the Wilders love me as their own since they never had a daughter. Ben’s father asked if I would dance with him. He has become a second father to me. What better way to display our adoration for each other.” I explained with a smile. “Oh that’s awesome. I’m sorry about your dad though.” She said giving me a side hug. “Thank you.” I respond trying to keep my composure. I took a few even breaths before speaking again. “We better get a move on. Mr. Wilder was distracting Ben for me to sneak up here.” I chuckle. We made it to the elevator when a group of a guys stepped on from the floor below us. “Well look at you two lovely ladies.” One of them said looking us up and down. I don’t like this. “What are your names?” Another asked stepping closer to us. I really don’t like this. I go to respond but Stacy speaks up. “Hi there, I’m Stacy and this is Rebecca.” She smiles sweetly. This girl is innocent. “She’s taken though.” She added while pointing at me. “What a shame. We could have fun.” The first guy said seductively. “Yeah, no. Not gonna happen with either of us. It would be best if you step away.” I say through gritted teeth pulling Stacy behind me. I do not like these guys. The other stayed quiet just hanging back facing the door. I never saw his face. “Feisty red head. I like that.” The first guy responded. Thankfully the door opened, the third guy slipped out. “I suggest you move out of our way.” I demanded as they both stood their ground directly in front of our exit. “I’d do as the lady says.” Mr. Wilder boomed standing by the opened elevator. “Oh sorry, Mr. Wilder. We were just flirting that’s all.” The 2nd guy stammered. “I’m sure my son would love to hear about this as the lady in blue is his girlfriend.” Mr. Wilder said in a extremely authoritative voice. “f**k” I hear one of them say. “So sorry, sir.” They both stammered. “Don’t apologize to me.” He responded. They turned to us. “We didn’t know, we are sorry.” They both said in unison. “If I see or hear you harassing anyone else tonight, I myself will kick you asses. If a girl asks you to step away, you better step away. And find a more respectful way to communicate.” I hissed at them. “I’d listen to her, boys. Rebecca does not make idle threats.” Mr. Wilder clarified. They both nodded and scurried away. “Thank you, they weren’t getting the hint.” I sighed. “I’m sorry Rebecca. I didn’t know they were jerks.” Stacy said. “Its okay Stacy. I know guys like them and can read them instantly. My gut said not to trust them, so I didn’t. Please be careful Stacy.” I said linking my arm with hers. “Yes, Stacy. Please be careful who you socialize with. I know your parents love and cherish you. Don’t let just any guy charm you right away.” Mr. Wilder supported. “I will be careful. I promise.” She said to both of us. “Ben’s been looking for you. I was going to come check to make sure you were okay. Here I’ll take those and put them under our table by your chair.” Mr. Wilder said taking my shoes and escorting us the rest of the way. “Ben is over there.” He added as he walked away from us before Ben saw us together. We walked up to him. “I hear you were looking for me.” I smile at him making him turn his head in our direction. “I was baby doll. Where were you? I looked all over” He said resting his hands on my hips and kissing my forehead. “Stacy and I needed some girl talk.” I winked at her making her giggle and making Ben raise his brow. “Rebecca is amazing.” Stacy smiled. “Yes she is.” Ben said lovingly looking right at me. “I’ll let you two be. I’m going to sit with my mom for a bit.” She waved walking away from us. “Girl talk, huh?” He said huskily. “Yes girl talk. That Markie is a shitty friend. Stacy needed encouraged about a few things, especially about boys.” I smile up at him. He rest his forehead against mine and caresses my back. “Is she okay?” He asked. “She is. She is being pressured to give herself away. But I told her she will find the guy that will steal her heart and will love and cherish her and treat her like a precious gem.” I say softly looking into his baby blue eyes. “I hope you don’t mind me borrowing your words.” I added. “Of course not, baby. I’m glad you were there for her.” He responded and then kissed me passionately. It only lasted a few moments before we pulled apart since there were people around. Just as we go to our table, we almost run into the same 2 boys from the elevator. “Casey, Tyler.” Ben nodded. “This is Rebecca, my girlfriend.” He added pulling me into his side. His voice was husky and bold. He was marking his territory. “Yes we met outside when I was with Stacy. Nice meeting you two again.” I interjected before they could. Ben’s hand gripped my waist tighter. They nodded. “Yes you too.” They both stammered before they scurried off. “Stay away from those guys.” Ben said. “Don’t worry, I could tell they were idiots.” I chuckled trying to lighten the mood. “Come on Benny, lets get something to drink.” He moved his hand from my waist and lightly tapped my ass before taking my hand. “Behave Wilder.” I said sternly still looking up at him. “Nope. Not gonna happen.” He chuckled while leading me to the drink bar. We ordered our non alcoholic drinks and stepped out on the balcony setting them down on a tall bar table and looking at the view. “So beautiful.” I say amazed at the view in front of me. “Yes you are.” Ben whispered in my ear making me blush. He chuckles seeing my rosy cheeks. “I love that.” “One day, I will make you blush Benjamin Wilder and I hope many will be around to witness it.” I state. He pulls me into him and captures my lips. I small moan escaping my lips. Ben embraces me tighter and deepens the kiss. I caress his handsome face. Feeling him melt under my touch. His turn to moan. We pulled away after a few minutes hearing more people step outside. “We’ll pick this up later sweetheart.” Ben said softly smirking at me. “Yes we will.” I whispered into his lips before giving him a quick peck on his sexy lips once more. We finished our drinks chatting up a storm before we walked back inside hand in hand.
