Rebecca's POV
Thank f**k that Zach went out with his friends and his dad went to a medical seminar overnight. Ben does not need to bother with them, especially after his run in with Zach earlier. He just needs to meet my mom. I think she'll just love and adore him. I know I do. I don't even care that I just met him. I feel how I feel. Even with my urge to cut earlier, I hated leaving his strong arms when he hugged. It felt right. Good. I could tell he didn't want to let me go. But he is respectful; so different from others.
Since I bloodied my shirt and jacket, I quickly changed and did my laundry when I got home. I found a long sleeved fitted blouse to wear with my skinny jeans and ankle boots. It was simply but pretty. I cleaned and rebandaged my arm. My blouse covered me perfectly. I headed downstairs when I heard a knock at the door. A huge smile appeared on my face knowing who it was. And yes, my heart skipped a beat or two or three! I opened the door to find the most handsome boy ever looking good in his denim jeans, blue tshirt and the same sexy leather jacket he had on earlier. Damn sexy.
"Hey Ben, come on in!" I chimed smiling brightly at him. "Hi gorgeous." He said smiling kissing my cheek. I took his hand in mine and led him into the living room where my mom was reading.
"Mom, I want you to meet Ben." I said happily. "Ben, this is my mom, Lily Wright." I added.
"Hi Mrs. Wright, It's wonderful to meet you. Thank you for allowing me to take her out" He said flashing his million dollar classic Ben smile, my mom completely melting.
"Hi there, Ben. I am happy to meet you too. You take care of my daughter now. She's precious cargo." My mom beamed. She's too cute sometimes.
"Yes she is, I agree Mrs. Wright and I will." He responded still smiling that smile. All I could do was shake my head at the both of them and giggle. " You two have fun." My mom added. Before I could walk away mom grabbed my hand and whispered in my ear, "He's a keeper Rebecca." "I think so" I responded with a bright smile and a nod. Just then, Ben turned towards us with a raised eye brow and crooked smile....God that was sexy. I think he heard us. I reached for his hand as he shook his head and chuckled. I grabbed my fleece jacket and we walked hand in hand out the door.
As soon as we stepped foot onto the yard from the porch Ben stopped and slowly spun me around. "Let me get a good look at your baby doll." Making me giggle like a damn schoolgirl. "Damn, you're a fox. You know that Rebecca." He smiled that damn smile looking into my eyes. "You sure know how to make a girl blush Mr. Wilder." I flirted back at him. He pulled me into his chest and wrapping his arms around my waist, taking a my breath away at the sudden closeness. "Only you Miss Sampson." He whispered sexily. We got lost in each other's eyes for a few moments. A comfortable silence surrounding us.
"As much as I could gaze into your baby blues; I am hungry and need fed, Benny." I said giving him my most innocent smile. He raised that sexy brow, "Benny, really babe..Benny?" he chuckled. "Yeah, why not? Don't ya like it?" I teased. He shook his head smiling, "Only you call me that but it better not get around...Becs." he smirked after coming up with his own nickname for me. My breath hitched just for a moment. I haven't been called that since daddy; but I like Ben calling me that. I recovered quickly and smiled at him. "Becs and Benny, I like that." I said. "Me too." He said softly smiling back at me. "Now let's get food in you before you kick my ass for starving ya." He laughed as he opened the passenger door and helped me into his car. "Cute and a quick learner." I teased. He got into the driver side and fired Thunderbird right up.
"You definitely have a beautiful car, Ben." I said admiring the interior. "Thank you, my grandfather and I restored it and he gave it to me as a surprise." He said with pride. "Thank amazing, you two did a great job!" I chimed. He took my hand with his right one and brought it to his lips and lightly kissed my knuckles and smiled. His kisses always leave behind a tingly feeling I am starting to crave. He is such a gentle giant.
"What about you, Becs?" Spend time with your grandparents?" He asked thoughtfully. "Sadly, both sets of my grandparents are no longer with us, but I did when I was young. They all were wonderful. Right after my dad, my grandpas were my other heroes. And my grandmothers were just lovely and caring. Both full of compassion.
"I can't say I'm surprised, you're just like them." Ben said softly with a smile. " I try." I responded smiling back at him.
Ben's POV
A comfortable silence filled the car. Out of nowhere, Becs started softly singing a song to herself. I don't think she realized she was doing it. She was looking out the window in her own little world. I was in awe of her. I couldn't help but smile, which I tend to do a lot in her presence. "You have a beautiful voice, Babe." I said as I reached over gently squeezing her hand.
"Oh, thanks. I didn't even I was singing out loud." She said smiling nervously. "Can I tell you something Ben?" She asks. Becs, you can tell me anything." I replied. "I'm really comfortable around you and I'm not comfortable around anyone ever. I haven't sang in front of anyone in a long time." She admitted. "I['m glad you are baby doll, I'm comfortable around you too. You bring out my softer side. I'm not like this with anyone." I said as I pulled into the cafe parking lot.
"I could tell by the way you interacted with everyone today, especially Zach. You're normally intense all the time with most people aren't ya?" She asked earnestly. I turned toward and cupped soft cheek in my hand. I am babe, but I promise I'll never be that way with you. And by the way, I will gladly listen to you sing anytime you want to share your voice. You sounds like angel." I said softly looking deep into her gorgeous eyes as they danced. I felt her melt into my touch.
"Kiss me, Benny." She whispered. "As you wish, sweetheart." We both leaned into each other until our lips met in a passionate kiss. I still cupped her cheek as she caressed my own with her delicate fingers. Soft moans leaving both of our lips. We parted our lips after a few minutes to catch our breaths but pressed out foreheads together...not wanting to lose contact. "You were my first kiss, Ben." She whispered. "You were mine, Becs. It was perfect." I whispered back. "Yes it was." She agreed. "Ben, do you feel electricity every time we touch?" She added softly searching my eyes. "I do, Rebecca. I think I fallen for you. I know we just met but your are so special." I admitted openly. "I feel the exact same way, Ben. I've fallen for you too." She smiled brightly. Hearing her words made me flash my classic smile at her. "You're so beautiful." I said caressing her face. She did the same to me, " And you're so handsome." She said leaning back in for another kiss. This one was short but sweet. Her lips feel and taste so good against mine.
"I think our first date is going well." She giggled. "I think you're right, let's head in." I smiled at her. "Sounds good, boyfriend." She said happily making my heart skip a beat. I like the sound of that. "You're cute, girlfriend." I replied. God this girl is everything to me. I jumped out and helped her out of my car, linking our fingers as we headed into the cafe.
I asked or a small table in the corner. I wanted her all to myself. I am head over heels for this sweet red headed beauty. I held her close to my side wrapping my arm around her waist, making sure other customers, okay okay..other guys, knew she was with me. Her natural beauty rarely goes unnoticed.
Becs' POV
"What's good here, Becs?" Ben asked studying the menu. His expression was intense as he read through the menu. He noticed me smiling at him and looked up from the menu giving me his Ben classic smile. His disheveled hair making him look even more boyish and charming.
"Everything is amazing here, I really haven't found a dish I didn't like; but you can never go wrong with their classic cheeseburger and fries. And of course their milkshakes." I beamed. "They are huge, I could never finish one."
"Sounds perfect, baby. What flavor?" He asked. "Chocolate, always chocolate." I said excitedly clapping my hands like a little kid in a candy store.
"You're adorable, Becs and charming." He laughed as he reached over tucking a stray curl behind my ear. How do you get your hair like that?" He asked thoughtfully. I giggled, he's so cute sometimes. "I have no control over it. My hair has a mind of its own." I said gently tugging a curl to straighten..."its all natural"...letting it go as it sprang back into a curl. "I love it." he smiled dorkily.
The waiter stopped to take our orders. Ben ordered for us. "We'll both have the cheeseburger and fries and one chocolate milkshake...with 2 straws." He said while winking at me and making me blush. "So adorable." Ben quipped with a smirk.
"So, how are you liking your new neighborhood?" I asked him. "It's nice and quiet. Finally moved in and setup. My mom went crazy decorating the house." he laughed. God I can listen to his laugh forever. "Hey, as long as she makes it a home, that's all that matters." I said smiling.
"Maybe over the weekend you can come over and hang out? I can see if Matt wants to come over too. We'll order pizza." Ben asked. "Sounds great, I'd like that, Benny." I said. "Thank you for befriending Matt. He's a great a person. Deserves the world and respect." I added.
"I could tell. I'm taking him under my wing, see if I can get him to loosen up a bit and build his confidence. He mentioned you have helped him a lot over the years." Ben said. "I'm thankful you'll do that for him. I really try not to overstep with him since I'm a girl. I try to keep his dignity. He's just too sweet and naïve. I can't allow others to take that away from him. He's deserves the best of everything." I explained.
"Is he bullied a lot? He said it wasn't as bad anymore because of you. Apparently you put the fear of God in people." Ben laughed.
"It was worse in middle school. And I will continue putting the fear of God in people as needed." I said sternly. "I believe you." he smirked. "What happened?" he asked
"It's really not my place to tell, Ben." I responded softly looking down. Ben reached over taking my hand. This boy is so tender. "I understand. I'll watch over him. I don't take too kindly to bullies either. You know, Becs, you are truly beautiful inside and out." He said softly while lifting my chin up with his fingers. My eyes were glassy as I smiled back at him and thank him. Right then the waiter came with our burgers and shake.
"Hey brother, mind taking our picture?" Ben asked. "Sure buddy, no problem." The waiter responded.
We both look at each and had the same thought. We leaned in and reached for our straws in the milkshake. Both sipping with cute grins on our faces while gazing into each others' eyes. It was the perfect picture.
"I love it, we' re a cute couple." I beamed happily. "Met too baby doll, it's perfect. I'll send it to you." He smiled brightly. "Thanks handsome." I said smiling at him. "Anything for your gorgeous." He responded as we playfully laughed at each other digging into our burgers. Ben leaving out a moan when he tasted his first bite. "Ahhh...so good." he said with a boyish look on his cute face making me laugh. "I'm glad your enjoying it. Best burgers around." I giggled. "You aren't lying." He said before taking another huge bite making the 'I'm in heaven' face. So damn cute. "You're so silly." I laughed shaking my head. "I think I will keep you around for a while." I added making him give me a dorky smile before attacking his burger yet again.
There's a party in the town over next week. My friend's parents are away and he's planning a bash. Wanna go with me?" I asked. "Well well Miss Sampson, are you a party girl?" He asked devilishly. "Only sometimes, Wilder." I smirked at him. "See, I knew you were perfect for me. I would love to go." He grinned.
