I heard a growl ahead of us both. I looked up to see a tall intimidating figure standing in front of us, he loomed over us with angry eyes, staring deeply at me. The wolf next to me quickly bowed his head.
"Alpha Jason," He muttered.
I whisked away the dagger and stared back into his fierce brown eyes.
"Beta Jonathan who is this?" He spat in my direction.
I repulsed as I felt clearly offended, how dare he spit at me. He wasn't aware of who I was and what I was capable of.
"It's the witch you summoned for Alpha," Jon said, still bowing.
I forced myself to bow to this man to show respect but I bowed to no one except my Moon Goddess.
"Yes my A-Alpha," I gritted my teeth.
"What a beautiful woman, I expected a vile woman," He said with no hesitation.
"Flattery isn't what will get this started," I said impatiently.
He nodded his head and led me towards the pack house. It may not have been as grand as Nicholas's house but it was definitely bigger. The difference was that there were nothing but drunken men surrounding the house shouting obnoxious profanities, fighting each other, completely ignoring those around them.
As I walked by the group with the Alpha, a group of them wolf whistled as they yelled promiscuous things. I felt a dirty hand grope my back side as I immediately turned around to punch the intruder straight in the jaw. He was sent flying away as he held his face in pain, complaining about a broken jaw.
Slapping was for the weak.
I turned back around to see the Alpha smirking at me as his eyes roamed me up and down.
"Impressive," Was all he said.
He led me deeper into the pack house, into the shadows until we reached the end of a hallway where there was a locked door. He pulled out a key and unlocked the door, leading me down deeper into the basement.
"After you," He grinned.
I walked into the dark room that was dimly lit. As I reached the bottom I felt the Alpha's rough hand grip mine and led me to the farthest cell.
He opened it and I noticed a petite figure chained to the wall but I immediately recognized it as Lucie. She looked up to the sound with fear laced in her expression but the moment her eyes landed on me she relaxed a little.
I concentrated hard as I looked into her mind to send her a message.
'Lucie don't be alarmed, I've come to get you out of here and I damn sure will,'
The moment she received the message, relief washed over her entire body.
I felt his rough hands grab me and push me onto the wall rather aggressively.
'What are you doing?" I said coldly as I looked away from him in disgust.
"How can I control myself when you're so beautiful? You're nothing like how I expected you to be, why don't we let the white wolf watch us before we steal her spirit," He said huskily as his eyes began turning a darker shade.
Fine, I'll play along with his little games to make my move. I smirked as I ran my fingers down his face, he immediately took that as a sign and crashed his lips onto mine causing me to fight the urge to gag. The kiss was wet and sloppy, filled with hunger. He quickly broke away to begin trailing kisses down my neck. I reached my hand towards my pants waist where I had my sword hidden, luckily something within me told me to hide it there for the time being. Carefully so he wouldn't notice I reached up behind him and maximized the knife, letting it slice through both him and I.
He gasped as he looked down at the sword in both our chests and smirked.
Now it was my turn to smirk. I turned us around so that his back was against the wall and pushed myself away from him, the sword sliding out of my chest and instantly healing. He slid down to the ground, my weight no longer supporting him, his mouth hanging wide open with shock before finally becoming deceased.
I pulled the sword from out of his back and ran up to Lucie where I grabbed the chains from around her and yanked them off. I slowly untied the rope from her mouth and let her weak body fall into my arms. She looked up at me and smirked.
"Stop trying to play that off, you know that sword in the chest hurt," She said.
"Yeah it hurt like a b***h," I whined as she laughed.
We walked out of the cellar, up towards the stairs where I quietly tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.
"s**t!" I yelled.
I had to break down the door, wolf strength was no match for an Angel.
I kicked the door and it was sent flying into the opposite wall causing a loud boom throughout the house.
I grabbed Lucie and began running through the house, my wings shifting painfully from my back to make a quick escape. As soon as we reached the front entrance I stopped.
"Lucie grab onto my neck and wrap your legs around my waist," I ordered.
She blushed but did what she was told, I heard the thunderous sounds of footsteps all around me and I knew I had to hurry. Once I knew she was secure I ran out of the door, my wings shielding us as we broke through the door and noticed a group of men around us, staring long and hard at the sight before them.
"STOP HER SHE KILLED THE ALPHA!" I heard a roar from the inside. I instantly took off into the sky, leaving the wolves on the ground to stare up at the sky, trying to comprehend what they just saw. I smirked and continued onward to the direction of the white wolf pack.
I connected to Eve and told her to get back to the pack house.
About an hour later of flying we finally reached the white wolf territory. I steadied myself as I tried to land as smoothly as possible but stumbled along the way.
Landings were never my strong suit.
The moment we touched the ground Lucie let go and attacked me into a bear hug.
"Thank you so much Avangeline!" She screeched out.
I tried so hard not to wince at the sound of my name but it was nearly unbearable.
"You're welcome Lucie, try to be careful next time, I won't always be there to save you," I told her.
I looked behind me and noticed Eve standing there, staring up at the sky with golden glowing eyes, communicating with the Moon Goddess.
I turned back and noticed Nicholas running towards us.
Lucie let go and ran towards her brother, both their blonde hair bouncing in the wind, as Nicholas engulfed her in a hug he looked at her face and growled as he saw the bruises and scratches.
He looked up at me as I shook my head, signaling that the Alpha was no more. His face relaxed as he smiled.
I turned back to my sister Eve as she walked towards me with a serious expression.
"Evangeline are you alright?" I asked worriedly.
She shook her head as she turned to me.
"Our next mission is split up," She said as she gulped.
I laughed.
"Oh come on Eve, you don't like being separated?"
She looked me dead in the eyes as she spoke her next words.
"Your next target is Alpha Derek of the Blood moon pack,"
