The party was an evening in a dance club. Not like a disco, but like a country club. I think; I have never been in one, but that's how I imagined them to be. There was a ballroom, and an attached room with a buffet where people mingled, eating, and drinking. The music wasn't loud, just a background ambiance that allowed for conversation. The sparkly (but somehow not slippery) wooden floors were spotless, the white walls were even whiter under the bright light of the lamps, and the smell of expensive perfumes filled the room. We came in, Yllana, Marty, and me, and immediately joined the group of Marty's friends, most of them familiar to me from the Academy.
