History of magic was easier to follow now. I was even getting the hang of it. Having spent the winter vacation reading stories for my nieces and nephews helped. It's not like children's stories were equal to history textbooks, mind you, but they at least gave me a frame of reference. Besides, it was much easier to read a history book before I went to sleep than it was to read a book on Magical Structures or something mathy like that. I was getting good at this. I still needed to learn a lot of things, since I didn't understand this world, with its magic, traditions, and social customs.
