23 Maybe because of the message Marty wrote, but the dining table was set, with uncle Azzie and Pops sitting there. The family had already eaten. It was late time for lunch. I washed my hands in a basin, nodded at uncle Azzie and Pops, and dug into the food. Greasy lamb chops with thick gravy, a kidney pie, sweet buns, lots of sour cream over everything, downed with creamy, sweet tea. I mixed everything, having a bite of meat, a bite of sweet, and a bit of the salty potato-like fried tubers.
