Betrayal

AVA His eyes darkened, staring at only me. I stood, my heart pounding heavily. He began to take gentle strides towards me, it only took him a second before his nose flared up, his face twitched into a scowl. “Why is he's scent all over you?” His voice thundered. I flinched, beads of sweats trailing down my forehead. “Ava, do not let me repeat myself.” His voice low, his jaw clenched tightly as he stared at her. I opened my mouth to speak but it felt like a huge lump was in my throat, tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my view. “I’m so...try.” I managed to say, finding my voice. “You let him touch you, you f*****g let another Alpha touch you, Ava.” His cold voice hammered through the walls. He began to walk backwards, eyes still fixed on me as a smirk formed on his lips. “Right now, you have crossed the line Ava, and you would pay, but.” He let out a low chuckle, walking towards the door. “You won't be the one to take the punishment. But remember Ava, if anything happens, it was all your fault.” He warned, his voice laced with anger and betrayal. “Lo...gan.” I screamed running after him. “I’m sorry.” I wailed, holding unto his hand. He released my grip on him and pushed me aside. “Lock her up, she stays indoors for a week without food nor water.” He commanded, glaring at me. I knew I had betrayed him at that moment, but I had no choice. “I’m sorry!” I wailed loudly, struggling with the guards as they dragged me away. I was thrown into a dark room with only a tiny window. It was pretty hard to see through the window, it was the only source of light in the room. I crouched on the floor, my face placed between my knees as the tears rolled off, drenching my face. I blamed myself for being attracted to two Alphas, I would have chosen one, but no, I let greedy overwhelm me. But even if I had to choose, who would it have being. Was it going to be my highschool teacher whom I first found out was my Alpha and suddenly felt closer to him or was it my childhood celebrity crush, one whom I've always admired. Why wouldn't he understand that this wasn't my fault at all, if they moon goddess had just assigned only one alpha to me, then this whole story wouldn't have happened. I sobbed quietly, unsure of what Logan was going to do next. It wasn't just going to end here, that I knew for sure. He was going to come back. His last words echoed in my ear. Someone else was going to take the blame for my actions, was it mom, or Ruby. My heart raced rapidly as different thoughts hit me. Mom is too soft, he shouldn't take it out on her, and not Ruby, she had no idea about me seeing Xavier or even being mated to two Alphas. I stood up, hitting heavily on the door, banging loudly. “Logan!” I screamed, sure enough that he could hear me. I continued to bang loudly, earning the attention of the guard who came to warn me , but I wasn't backing away. “Go tell your Alpha that he shouldn't dare hurt my mom!” I screamed at him but he didn't bulge, he only stood, glaring at me. “Please, Logan.” I wailed, my voice failing me as it came out as a whisper. I found myself falling back to the floor as I sobbed quietly, thoughts running through my head. LOGAN I felt my chest tightened, I felt betrayed. I thought keeping her here and giving her rules would make her listen and succumb to only me, but it's just as they say, humans are not to be trusted. I pushed open the door, the sharp smell of metal clinging to the air, a single bulb hung from a worn out wire, casting a faint white light on the boy. A duct tape clasped on his mouth. He was still chained on the chair, still unconscious from the last beating. I scoffed as my eyes scanned the room. “Humans!” I growled. I walked towards the table, my fingers ran through the tools outlined. Ranging from the hammer to the saw and other tools, but my fingers brushed through the lying revolver. The Smith & Wesson 686 Plus revolver that laid silently, waiting to be noticed. “Already awake?” I smiled, tilting my head towards him. “You know, I've actually not used this before.” My fingers roaming through the revolver. His eyes widened in terror as his eyes met with the object in my hand. “You could have advised your best friend well enough not to get f****d up by any man she meets.” I spoke, my voice low. “Too human.” I raised the gun, aiming at him as he began to shift the chair, trembling. I pointed it at him, then on a second thought, I lowered it. “You see, this isn't all about you.” I walked towards him, pointing it into his mouth. “It's about Ava's disobedience.” I leaned in, whispering into his ears. He shuddered from my breath. I let out a giggle as I walked back to my original spot. “This should pass on as a message to her.” And with a loud yet sudden sound, the c***k of the gun echoed in the room as the bullet tore into the wall, escaping him. He slowly titled his head, staring at the wall that now had a hole on it. His body shuddered as his eyes widened. I took a deep breath, dropping the gun back on the table. “Next time it would be your skull.” I whispered, enough for him to hear. “Ava should learn to obey rules.” I said, walking out of the room, banging the door loudly. Wiping my hands off with the napkin I was given, my footsteps echoing through the hallway as I walked. “Let the men prepare for war.” I stood, staring at Ava's opened room which was empty. “We ride out, tonight.”
