Awakening

LOGAN I strolled into the lightly dim room and there he was, tied on a chair, his face slightly bruised. “Wake him up.” I said to one of the guards. He walked up to him, giving him to blows on his lower abdomen was good enough to wake him. He coughed out blood as he groaned heavily, looking up at me. “You f*****g psychopath.” He groaned, spitting at me. I wiped the blood out of my face, pulling him by the hair, I gave him a resounding slap on the face, one that left a mark there. “What were you gonna do, tell Ava that I kidn*pped you?” I scoffed out, pouring myself a french martini. I gulped half of the contents, straining down at him. “You know, Ava hardly mentions about you anymore, I wonder what it could be.” I said, smirking at him. “Could it be our passionate nights together?” He wrigled effortlessly on the chain, groaning and cussing at me. “How dare you lay your filthy hands on her.” He cussed, glaring at me. I stood tall, staring into his half swollen eyes as I puffed out on my cigarette, the smoke hitting him as he scrunched his face. “This is my territory, it is far from your human world. This place is where people of my kind have found peace and settled in. In here I am the Alpha, I call the shots here. Your friend, Ava has been fated to be my queen from the very moment she was born. So I have the right to do whatever I want with her and no one would dare to challenge me.” I snapped at him, sending another blow to his abdomen, earning a growl from him. “I believe these things aren't new to you. People of your kind have written works about us so I know you fully understand what I'm saying.” I puffed out more smoke as he coughed loudly. “You seem to care so much about your friend that I see it as something different.” I said pacing around the room, my eyes never leaving his. “Ava seems to be growing up so fast, disobeying my rules. I'll have to punish her, but..” a smile appeared on my face as I strolled back to him, caressing his cheeks lightly. “If you stay quiet in here, I promise you, she'll be safe.” He looked up at me, his face soaked with blood. Ethan must have really dealt with him yesterday night after he had caught him eavesdropping on our conversation. “Ava.” He mouthed inaudibly. I leaned in closer, stretching my ear to hear him properly. “Don’t hurt her pl...” his voice trailed off. “Weak.” I chuckled, staring at his limp body that had fallen back while he was still speaking. I swallowed the drink before walking out of the room, cleaning my hands with a clean towel. I need to go see Ava, it's been quite a long time. AVA I sat on my bed, the necklace mom gave me was resting perfectly on my neck. My hand found it's way to it, feeling the tiny piece of pendant. Everything was beginning to make clear sense to me now. My birth, the prophecies and the necklace. This was whom I was truly born to be, but how was I going to achieve it. Lucas and Selene were far from me, how would I learn, I can't just go into battle without nothing. I heard that all werewolf warriors had something they were good at. I huffed out, walking to the mirror as I stared at my reflection. Few weeks ago, I was just a normal eighteen years old but now I'm a werewolf destined to reunite to great packs together. A slight chuckle escaped from my lips, how was I going to achieve that. This was a heavy burden on my shoulder, I just want to take it off, but I guess I'll have to bear my pain alone. “Micha?” I whispered, staring into the mirror. I felt her stare up but it was weak. “It’s fine, I'm here. We can do this together.” I said to her. Most times it feels like I can see her and other times, it's just me. I breathed out loudly, closing my eyes. The scent of lavender entering into my nostrils made my nose flare up. My ears began to twitch, I stayed calm as I listened. The heavy footsteps echoing through the hallway, the sounds of pans and pot clashing together. A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips, I was beginning to master my wolf senses. A familiar footstep made my smile disappear, he was approaching my room. His steps weren't fast, they were calculated. His chill voice echoed, sending shivers down my spine. I hurried back to the bed, slipping off the necklace, I placed it under my pillow as I shut my eyes, pretending to sleep. The door creaked open, I felt his dominating presence, his aura filled with fear and dominance surrounding the room. He stood at the feet of the bed, eyes roaming round the room until it fell on me. I wanted to open my eyes, I wanted to fully stand up and tell him that I wanted to be alone. He took gentle strides, walking to the edge of the bed. My body shuddered from his presence. He leaned closer, his breath on my face as his hands moved to my hair, stroking it gently. He leaned in, placed a kiss on my ear as he whispered softly. “I can hear your heartbeat, Ava. It's loud.” My eyes fluttered open, his eyes boring into mine with a smirk on his face. My hands trembled as I held tightly onto the hem of the sheets. Many thoughts raced through my mind as I pondered on what he was going to do, I wasn't ready for any punishment, my body still ached a little bit from my transformation. “You seem to have gotten a little... Pretty.” His strong husky voice hit my like a wave. My cheeks burned up from the compliment. I was thrown aback by his little compliment, I wasn't expecting it. “Thanks.” I muttered rather inaudibly. He walked towards the window, staring out into the busy buzzing streets, it was just a glimpse but I noticed it, quick enough before it was gone. A huge smile, one that people dish out whenever they felt fulfilled. At that moment, behind that masked face of anger, dominance and revenge was an Alpha who loved his people. One who would probably lay down his life for them.
