Torn in between

AVA I moaned into the kiss as he lifted my thigh, my leg grazing past his hard erection, then reality hit me. My breath hitched as I pulled away from him. “I’m... Sorry.” I whispered backing away from him. Panic tingled at me and with one glance, I ran off, leaving him standing in silence. I ran back to Ruby's and there she was pacing around her room, hands clasped together. “Where the hell did you run off to? Her voice calm but filled with care as she glared at me. I fumbled with the hem of my dress, avoiding her gaze. How was I to tell her that I ran off to find an Alpha and at that, I ended up kissing him. “Ava?” She called, jolting me back to reality. “Sorry__ I had to clear my head a little.” I lied. “You should have said so” Her eyes sparkling as she grinned. “I’ve got you.” She shifted a flower vase, bringing out what was hiding behind the flowers. “Grey goose!” I whispered softly, my hands trembling as I collected it from her hand. “This is a f*****g vodka, a grey goose vodka. One of the expensive wines in the world, how the hell do you have it?” She grinned widely, smiling from ear to ear, “Alpha Logan's wine Cellar.” The drink left my hand almost too fast but she caught it before it could hit the floor. “Hey.” She glared at me, kissing the vodka like it was the finest thing in the world. “How?” I managed to ask. She sighed, walked up to me, placed her both hands on my shoulder, “Ava, it's really easy for someone like me to enter the Alpha's chamber without getting caught.” She explained. “So quit with the questions and let's party!” She shrieked. She poured a full glass for me, I stared at the drink and back at her. She smiled at me before gulping it down. “Don’t make it boring, Ava.” She teased. I brought the drink to my nose and it's hot strong smell made my nose twitch. I huffed out and with one gulp, I poured it into my mouth. “That’s more like it.” She yelled and I smiled back at her as she poured more for me. I drank it all, it was really working. My memories were beginning to clear off. This is actually nice. I smiled, and continued to drink more. XAVIER I stormed into my room angrily, and just enough to add to my anger was Selene, sitting comfortable on my bed. “She really has a strong scent.” She scoffed, standing up. I glared at her, pulling off my shirt. “You know, she doesn't suit to be your mate.” I rushed towards her, trying to grab her by the neck but she was fast to duck, grabbing my hands behind my back, she pinned me to the floor. “You forget too easily brother.” She said through gritted teeth. “I was once the leader of the pack warrior. Being an Alpha doesn't make you stronger than your followers.” “Let go off me, Selene.” I grumbled, struggling beneath her. “What an Alpha you are.” She scoffed, kicking me on the back before releasing me. “You’re not telling me something, Xavier. Why does it feel like you're hiding something from me.” She asked, her gaze piercing deeply like she knew there was something. “What do you mean?” I asked, wincing as I applied an ointment to my back. “I don't know, maybe you can tell me.” She strode towards me, collecting the ointment and applying it. “Selene what do you really want, spill it already?” She sighed, dropping the ointment. “I do care about you Xavier, you never hid anything from me.” She held the door knob, glancing back at me, her face calm. “You’ve changed.” She walked out, her voice soft but painful. I couldn't bring myself to let her know that Ava was mated to I and Logan, she would never accept it. I fell back on the bed, my chest felt heavy, it was like something precious had left me. I was torn between obeying my sister who was more like a mother to me or my mate whom I had searched for a very long time. I huffed out and shut my eyes. AVA My head felt heavy, vision blur. We had both almost emptied the full vodka bottle and I wasn't thinking straight, I was crouched over at a corner, still holding the bottle, about to take another gulp. Ruby had already passed out some few minutes ago, so I was left alone. The door flung open, I squinted my eyes to see whom it was but I couldn't make sense of their faces. “She seems to be drunk.” One of the voices spoke, I stood up, staggering but a strong pair of hands caught me. “Hey.” I snapped at him, slapping his hands away but he held it tightly. “We need to take her back, the Alpha asked she be brought back.” I giggled as I poked his chest, “Alpha?” I stood erect, but lost my balance as he caught me again. “Which of the Alpha?” The men ignored my questions as the one holding me, carried me out as we walked through the streets. My eyes were beginning to get heavy, for a reason I couldn't fathom, I wanted to keep my eyes open. After walking for what felt like eternity, the guard brought me into a lightly dim room, I felt my back lay on something soft. “Inform the Alpha.” I heard, then the door closed shut. I rolled on the bed, I was feeling uncomfortable, the room seemed to be hot. I stood up, but my steps failed me as I staggered backwards. “Hot.” I whispered. The door slightly opened as a huge manly figure walked in. I strained my eyes as it landed on him. Cladded in a tight body hug shirt that outlined his chizzled chest over a grey sweatpants. He strode over to me in gentle strides, I giggled as he stood before me. My body ached for his touch, I wanted him. ___Logan. I leaned towards him, throwing my hands around him. “I want you, Alpha.” I whispered, my voice low but intimate.
