AVA
I stirred up, groaning as the sun rays hit my eyes. I stared around the unfamiliar room, my body ached to badly. Then it all came in, the drink, the men taking me and the s*x. I slowly lifted the bedspread, my chest pounding heavily. I stared, my face full of embarrassment. I finally had s*x with Logan. I shouldn't have, how was I going to look at him again, my cheeks flushed in embarrassment, I fell under the bed, covering my face with the bedspread.
The door flew open, the echoing of footsteps striding into the room felt heavy. I shut my eyes tightly as I held unto the sheets.
“Shy, I see.” The tiny voice rang. I threw the sheets away and stared up at her and there she stood, a huge grin on her face. She sat on the bed, her eyes boring into mine, it had tons of questions.
“What?” I snarled at her, rolling my eyes.
“Nothing.” She teased.
“How are you up so early?” I asked, my brows furrowed.
She grinned widely, leaning towards me. “I didn't get f****d by my Alpha.” I slapped her hand away, she had placed them on my head.
“I was at home earlier when someone knocked on my door, opening it, I was shocked to find the Alpha at my door. He asked that I should come look after you and I wondered why the Alpha would ask such. I stared at him waiting for an explanation then he said you had gone into heat yesterday.” She explained, smiling widely.
“Stop staring.” I glared at her.
“I know you weren't into heat but I got the message already so here I am, in the Alpha's room, with my friend on the bed.”
“I hate you.” I grumbled, standing up from the bed but my legs felt wobbly. I staggered but Ruby held onto me. “Carefull.” She warned, her voice stern but with concern.
She helped me into the bathroom, I did my stuff and got changed into my clothes. She had brought it earlier with her.
I was served a plate of hot beef stew. The spicy taste filled my mouth as i drank it.
“So, you're gonna sit here all day, staring at me?” I asked putting another spoonful of stew into my mouth.
“Not really.” She shrugged her shoulder. “We can do anything, if you want.” I smiled as the thought crept into my mind.
“What evil thought do you have?” she glared at me.
“How about we go see Micha?” I asked, my nose wrinkled with a wide grin on my face.
“Fine.” She said with an eyeroll. I giggled happily, rushing my food.
“You don't have to rush the food.” She teased, staring at me. I looked up at her, but I saw it. Behind those glimmering eyes, held pain and secrets untold. This was the first time I had noticed something about Ruby, she always seemed carefree, I was urged to ask her if she had any problem but I held back, I smiled back at her, returning my face back to the food.
I was going to find out what she was going through, maybe not now, maybe later, before it's too late.
“Eat up.” Her silvery voice rang, bringing me back to reality. “Sure.” I replied, smiling.
CALEB
“You really think it's gonna work?” Simon, the weird kid whom I had found out was a wolf asked. We had both gotten unusually closer than the last time. I had told him about my attempt to escape but he seemed unsure of it.
“I really don't know but it has to, I need to get out of here, I need to find Ava.”
My body still ached from the beating I had received from Mr Logan but I still didn't care. I was going to make my move tonight.
“How would you find her, if your plan works?” Simon asked.
He was right, I had no idea how the building was, it's structure, how was I going to find her.
An idea crept into my head, a small grin crossed my face. I stood up, looking out, my gaze landed on the huge muscled guard who was placed outside our cell.
I walked back to Simon, he shifted away from me, noticed the weird grin on my face.
“I noticed that the first plan might not work, so I think I have another.” He glared at me, his expression funny.
“Hit me.” I said, his brow furrowed. “What?”
“Just do it, hit me so hard, like you wanted to do the first time I came.”
He hesitated, time was going to fast. I decided to do the only thing on my mind.
I rushed towards him and just like the speed of lightening, he ducked over my punch and landed another on my nose.
“Fuck.” I winced loudly as the pain surged through me. “Another one.” I snapped at him and he came forward, hitting me so hard, the other cell mates began to make noise, our inmates trying to separate us but we didn't bulge. The noise successfully dragged the attention of the cell guard, he flung open the cell gate, pushing Simon off me. Blood poured out from my nose, it hurt so f*****g bad but I didn't care.
I was dragged out, just like I wanted.
“Take him to the infirmary.” He asked another guard. My eye lid felt heavy as my breathing began to fade. No, this wasn't what I wanted, I can't pass out, not now.
As we walked through the hallway, I heard her voice, she was really close by. Through the blurriness of my eyes, I squinted it and there she stood. I stretched my hand towards her but I felt weak. I tried to call out to her but the words felt heavy on my lips.
I could only stare and do nothing, just to call her, to let her know that I was here. My body suddenly went numb, slipping into the darkness.
