“Good morning.” Mom sang walking into my room, she rolled up the curtains.

“Mom.” I groaned sitting up on the bed. I had fallen asleep really late last night.

“So, how was your trip?” she asked sitting on the bed. “What trip?”

“I know where you went to yesterday, Ava.” mom teased turning to look at me, “I am your mother, I know things about you my dear.”

I sighed and looked up at her, she saw the look in my eyes and pulled me into a hug, offering comforting words into my ears.

I spent the whole of the morning talking about my visit to the blackwood pack with mom, she seemed confuse as to how the prophecy related to I being mates with two Alphas.

Sitting alone in my room, everything seemed to be boring, I couldn't go out since Logan had instructed his men to guard the door and watch over me. I needed to go outside. I was curious as to how Dad is a Dark moon wolf and Lucas is a Blackwood wolf. I needed answers.

“Ava.” His voice echoed in my head, hoarse but filled with regret.

“Xavier.” I replied, a little tone of anger laced in my voice.

I heard him sigh before he continued, “i know that you see me as a jerk but trust me, Ava, it's not what you think. I wasn't trying to hurt you.” He explained.

I scoffed at his words, he wasn't trying to hurt me, really.

“Ava, I know you can hear me. I'm sorry, I tried to control it but my wolf...” his voice trailed off and I couldn't feel him again.

“Xavier?” I called but there was no reply, I called out to him again but it seemed he had just suddenly disappeared.

I stood up hurriedly and walked to the door, banging and throbbing heavily but the guards outside wouldn't let me. I screamed at the top of my voice but it was up to no avail. I wanted to speak with Ruby.

CALEB

I banged at the cell bars, I was getting tired of being locked up in here and the weird kid just keeps on talking non sense. He had a lot of secrets but wouldn't share.

“Hey, get me out of here!” I screamed my lungs out, the guard glared at me but I didn't care. I continued to scream until the guard unlocked me. Was he going to release me. I flipped a thousand times in my head as the thought of being free crossed my mind. But the joy was cut short as I was dragged into a dark room. The guard who had pushed me in wasn't there, but I heard slow tappings, I froze in my step, I was certain that I wasn't alone there.

“Who’s there?” I asked, scanning the room but it was impossible to see anyone. Then the growl came, it sounded light at first but then it began to sound close.

I moved backwards but tripped on my foot. And that was when it sounded close, too close to me, then came the heavy breathing, I felt something drip on me. I looked up and there it was, standing so tall and huge, it's fang out as it snarled at me. I was staring at a six foot werewolf. I moved backwards, banging on the door, but it seemed the guard hasd already locked me in.

The werewolf still stood at it's spot groaning, then it took slow strides towards me and as if someone had pushed a button, it ran so fast in calculated steps. I shut my eyes as i awaited for it's sharp fangs to bite into me.

I groaned and sat up on the hard floor, cleaning my eyes with the back of my palms to adjust to the environment, I was still in the dark room and I was still alive.

“Good to see you up.” A voice spoke through the darkness. I squinted my eyes towards the darkness and I saw him, sorted comfortable on a chair as he puffed out smoke. He was cladded in a grey suit, that showed how his huge muscle were. His black shiny shoes that were properly fitted into his feet.

“Done checking me out?” he smirked sitting up from the chair, walking towards me.

“Mr... Logan?” I stuttered and staggered backwards.

“Caleb right?” he asked pulling off his suit jacket. “I’ve heard things about you. Ava seems like you a lot. You know, when she first got here, you were the first person she thought off, she asked for her phone to call you and do you know how I felt.”

I crept backwards as he continued to advance towards me. “Jealous, I was f*****g jealous that she thought only of you, a mere human boy.”

“Where’s Ava?” I spoke up. He was trying to feel powerful, he can be a f*****g animal, but I do not give a f**k.

“Brave, I see.” I groaned in pain as he landed the first punch on my abdomen. “You seem though but you can't beat up an Alpha.” He landed another punch, blood spitting out from my lips.

“You have given me enough headache and I can't bear it any more.” Another blow to my face. I fell on my face but he dragged me up and threw a slap across my face. I struggled on his tight grip as he slammed me against the wall.

“Plea...se.” I groaned but he continued, “St...op.” blood spat out of my lips. He threw me unto the floor, he was about to kick me when one of his men walked in. The guard whispered something into his ear and his face turned into a scowl.

He grabbed his jacket, tilting his head towards me, he smirked. “I’ll be back, we have unfinished business.” Hw hurriedly left the room.

I laid on the floor, unable to move, blood sipped out from my nose, lips and little openings from my abdomen.

I slowly closed my eyes as it embraced the darkness.
