Chapter Three

1280 Words
"No Carrie, I am dead ass serious. He was f*cking Julie Rodgers in the 2nd floor senior girls bathroom yesterday. I went in there to wash my hands after lunch, and he was pounding on her in the handicap stall. I didn't wanna say anything until I knew for sure but I asked her today in chem if she was in the bathroom with Asher yesterday and she smiled. If you know Julie, that means yes" I roll my eyes at the locker room talk. I can't lie and say it doesn't make my stomach clench. I truthfully haven't had s*x in a couple months. I was hooking up with Josh Bryan for a few months, but he ended up meeting a girl from Southside and that was the end of that. Hearing other people talk about s*x turns me on some times as embarrassing as that is. Not necessarily the gossip part of it but thinking about being in that situation, pressed up against a bathroom wall, a nice large one smashed inside of me. Trying so hard to keep your composure so you don't mo*n loud enough for the whole school to hear. The possibility of getting caught is probably one of the s*xiest parts. "Jo, are you coming on Sunday to the meeting?" I'm ripped from my trance and am brought back to reality. "Oh um, I'm not sure yet." They just nod and continue on with their conversation. I grab my bags and wave to them before heading outside. I glance at my watch 4:29, when I get outside Asher isn't here yet, I sigh and lean against the pole that holds up the metal awning. Then I hear the rumble of his truck approaching. I glance at my watch once more 4:30 on the dot. He is so aggravating, he does it purposely. I know it. I open the back door and throw my bags back there before climbing up into the passenger seat. He had a pair of jeans on and a long sleeved black shirt. Damn, I don't know if it's just cause I'm pent up but Asher is looking pretty good today. "Done staring Lyd?" I roll my eyes. "I'll take a picture next time, don't worry" "It's okay, I like the feeling of your eyes on me" I glance back over at him to see a smirk on his face. My core clenched at his honesty. "So Julie Rodgers, huh?" I tease and he glances over at me unamused. "What about her?" He asks. "The bathroom yesterday? Girls have been talking about it all throughout practice." He pokes his lips out in a duck face sort of way, as if he was thinking. "I didn't f*ck her, just f*ngered her. There's not much to gossip about" My breath hitches in my throat. “What other rumors do you all talk about me in that locker room?" He questions. "None of your business" He chuckles. "Oh ok Lyd, I see how it is. I'll tell you the rumors about you if you tell me the rumors about me." My brow raises at this proposition. I had no idea there were rumors about me. "Deal, but only if you go first" He shrugs. "People think over Christmas break last year, you got a t*t job" I furrow my brows, and turn to look at him. "That's a stupid one" He shrugs once more. "It's still a rumor that actually quite a few people believe. Though I know is not true as you were at my house for practically every minute of Christmas break" "People think that you hate football and only play it because your dad makes you" He glances over at me "Interesting perspective I suppose. People think you've f*cked John Bryan" I laugh. "That, that one is true" "I know, but people don't know that, you nor him have confirmed nor denied ever. It still lingers throughout the halls" "We had a thing for a couple months. But he got a girlfriend. Can we come up with something true? I can't think of any other rumors" That's a lie, I can think of one more that is a possible rumor but truthfully I can't say it. "Sure" He responds while pulling up to the McDonald's drive thru. "So many girls pine over you on the cheer team, sometimes they talk about what they've done with you with Ken right in the room. She about rips her ears off every time" This earns a deep belly laugh. "Yeah I've heard my fair share about Ken from school as well. What do you want to eat?" He asks as we get closer to order, damn this is gonna screw up my diet. "Just a medium fry. I have to watch what I eat for the time being, we have a comp soon" He nods and orders the food before pulling up, waiting our turn to pay. I reach in the back to get my wallet out of my bag. "Stop looking for your wallet, if you think I can't afford a medium fry that's a little sad Lyd." I roll my eyes before sitting back. "You didn't tell me the truth about me around school" He looks over at me, one hand on the steering wheel, one hand resting on the middle console. His eyes wander to the left side, and then they return to my own eyes. "People think your hot" And then he looks away, pulling up to the now available window. Wait, is he saying I'm hot? I got home a few hours ago, ate my fries then went for my run, came back, took a nice long shower and now I'm relaxing in my bed. It's Friday night. I have the house to myself, no homework, no cheer tomorrow. It's nice to just have a day of nothing to do. I talked to Ken earlier and she's doing good, said she's learning lots, and is totally excited (note the sarcasm) she wishes she was here with me, but it's okay cause she's gotta do what she's gotta do. I have been wrapped up in the words that Asher spoke earlier. There are so many ways he could've worded it if he didn't think I was hot but were saying other people did. Couldn't he? So he definitely would not have worded it "people think your hot" unless he was saying I am hot. After he said that we were silent til he let me out at my driveway, not that it's a long trek from his to mine but I suppose it was gentlemanly. You know what, Asher is a honest person and if I would just ask, he would tell me the truth. I know he would. Instead of killing myself over not knowing for the rest of my life I'm just gonna go ask him. I grab my oversized sweater to wrap around my body, I head downstairs, and out the door. Once across the yard and I am on his front porch I bang on the door a couple times before stepping back. I wait a minute or so until the door swings open and I don't wait for an invitation to walk inside, because I'm freezing my t*ts off out here. "Sure Lyd, c'mon in" He says sarcastically while shutting the door behind me, I finally look at him. His hair was wet, all he had on was a pair of grey sweatpants that hung low on his hips. "Earlier, when you said people think I'm hot, did you mean that people think I'm hot or you think I'm hot.. or both?" To Be Continued
