8 Serena’s POV I should’ve known Ronan was up to something. The way he led me through the trees, his steps sure and unhurried, like he had all the time in the world. The way his hand lingered at the small of my back, guiding me forward, even though I didn’t actually need guiding. And the way he kept looking at me, not with amusement, not with irritation, but with an expression I couldn’t read at all. I wasn’t sure why I let him drag me out here in the first place.
