Chapter 30 The Construction of Eden Is Completed

Abraham Goldstein woke up after a long slumber when Lucifer contacted him telepathically. Abraham contemplated leaving the Divine Dimension so he could see Lucifer face to face, but he decided against it. His body was old and frail, and every time he woke up in the real world he could potentially die. Speaking telepathically via the divine microchips was safer although it felt less real. Abraham answered Lucifer's call:
- Yes, Light Bringer, what news do you bring me?
Lucifer:
- We have finished our construction work on Eden. It's possible to live on the surface now.
Abraham Goldstein:
- Eden finalised? How did this happen so quickly?
Lucifer:
- You have been asleep for six months, Master.
Abraham Goldstein:
- Why didn’t you wake me up or contact me during this period?
Lucifer:
- You told me that you needed to sleep Master and that I should only disturb you if I had important news. Eden is finally inhabitable, that is outstanding news.
Abraham felt confused by Lucifer’s action. He didn’t know if Lucifer had used the phrase "only wake me up if you have important news" to his advantage. When Abraham was asleep Lucifer oversaw The Eden Project, and he shouldn’t let this power get to his head. Abraham decided to give Lucifer more exact timelines in the future.
Abraham Goldstein:
- Very well. So, nothing important happened while I was asleep?
Lucifer cleared his throat and spoke:
- On Eden everything has gone according to plan…
Abraham Goldstein:
- Spit it out Lucifer, what is not going to plan?
Lucifer:
- House Goldstein are lost control of Australia to House Cheng, they conquered Sydney from us.
- Isaac Goldstein requested to stop deliveries to Eden so that they could afford to fight back. I let him know that project Eden was the main priority, and he should find a cheaper way to keep Australia. Apparently, Isaac failed us.
Abraham Goldstein:
- He didn't fail US, Lucifer; He failed ME. You are not a Goldstein you are just my bodyguard. Don't consider yourself a Goldstein; your loyalty should be to me only!
Lucifer:
- I apologise for my choice of words Master; I will be more thoughtful in the future.
Abraham Goldstein:
- The loss of Australia doesn’t matter. We have left Earth behind us, and Eden is our future. I knew of my relatives’ incompetence, and yet the fools have persisted to rebel and question my authority.
- Neither you nor any of the Angels will do the same!
Abraham’s last sentence made Lucifer feel worried. He could often feel Abraham messing with his brain and reading his thoughts. Lucifer felt offended by Abraham’s lack of trust. He and the other Angels had followed Abraham blindly for decades. Abraham should be courteous enough to ask questions instead of spying on his closest men.
Lucifer's thoughts were interrupted by Abraham who had read his thoughts:
- Don't be angry Lucifer; I am only looking after you and the others. Without the ability to lie to me, your souls are pure, and you can all serve a higher purpose.
Lucifer:
- Thank you for showing me the light when doubt clouds my mind.
Abraham Goldstein:
- Of course, you are the Light-bringer. I need you to show the others.
Lucifer:
- Yes, Master!
- Would you like to wake up from your sleep and visit Eden with your physical body?
Abraham Goldstein
- No, my body is dying. I will see Eden’s beauty through your eyes my son.
Lucifer:
