Chapter 14 Abraham Goldstein Leaves Antarctica

At the beginning of 2786, Abraham decided to leave Antarctica with his luxurious space yacht The Golden Divine, a fitting name considering his plans to become a deity. The destination was the Asteroid B528B where Abraham intended to set up his new command centre for project Eden. The crew for the voyage was his personal bodyguards from the ANGEL program, a group of 30 genetically engineered males who were very loyal to Abraham.

Unbeknownst to the crew, Abraham had packed a bag with 35 Divine Technology Angel chips. He planned to implant his inner circle with these chips at the right time. The "Angel" chip was different from the "human" chip he had implanted into his disloyal family members some months earlier. The angel chip allowed someone with a god chip to control the actions of the angel directly and not just indirectly.

Abraham felt a bit frustrated to leave Antarctica before his Divine Detector Machine was disassembled and ready for transport. Ideally, his Divine Control Centre at B528B would be ready and fusion-powered before he arrived. With the resentment from his family towards him, however, made it impossible to stay in Goldstein Tower any longer. He had murdered several more members of his extended family, as he KNEW they were plotting to kill him.  Realising that his presence caused so much resentment he had concluded that he had to leave Earth. His family would still have to follow his commands and do his bidding, but they no longer had to see him.

Abraham looked back on Earth floating as a blue haven in space as the space yacht flew further away. Knowing that he would never again see his home planet Abraham felt bittersweet melancholia and did not speak to anyone for days.
