Chapter 34 The First Day on Eden

815 Words
It was 8 am on the 1st of January 2810, and the people of Eden were to be set awake after being kept asleep for 20 years. Abraham chose to align the calendars with the calendars of Earth and only change the year. The total number of individuals settled on Eden was around 3000, and they had all had their memories wiped, so all they had left was the ability to do basic movements, numeracy and language skills. They were all sleeping in their respective villages, which were replicas of Bronze Age villages from the Holy Land. All the 30 angels of Eden except for Lucifer were stationed in the hamlets under their supervision waiting for Abraham to give the signal to start.    Abraham spoke out to all the Edenites through the microchips in their brains: -          Wake up people of Eden! -          You slept for 20 years. -          You are the chosen ones the only humans left in existence, after the apocalypse. -          The all-powerful Yahweh has destroyed himself and planet Earth. Before he did, he allowed me; Grandmaster Abraham to take his place on the Divine Throne and lead you to Eden your new home. -          Follow the Angels to Mount Sinai where you will congregate and see your new physical leader, Archangel Lucifer.   Abraham viewed the confused masses get up from their beds and aimlessly walking out. He had expected this. Memory-wiped individuals usually acted confused for a long time after being subjected to the treatment and this was to his advantage. People that were confused were less likely to question him and were easier to influence. Abraham suspected that first generation on Eden would not be easy to control. Even after a memory wipe, individuals tended to get flashbacks from their earlier lives, and these flashbacks would most cause some of them to question the world they lived. They would not dare to voice their concerns, however, and after a couple of generations, he would have a group of people that believed in every word he said, through indoctrination and the lack of external stimuli.   Abraham watched the Edenites meet up in their respective villages and slowly make their way to Mount Sinai in the middle of Eden were Lucifer was preparing his speech.   Lucifer was wearing his ceremonial angel suite while the other angels wore utility suites. The Angels had three different outfits depending on the purpose of their visit to Eden. They had -          One ceremonial uniform, which was made to look extravagant, coated in gold and full of diamonds and gemstones attached in intricate patterns. This suite was highly decorative but did not serve any practical purpose except to impress. -          One utility uniform used for peacekeeping, helping villagers or fixing parts of Eden's advanced infrastructure.  This suite was in light bluish and gave moderate protection against the elements and attacks while being mobile, lightly armed, and versatile -          One terror uniform, when Abraham wanted to punish his subjects. This suit was dark, all black and covering the entire body including the face. It had spikes and other ornaments to make it look terrifying. It was heavily armed and designed for destruction and mayhem.   All the suites also had angel wings that moved to give the illusion of the angels using their wings to fly. The flight thrusters under the wings gave the momentum, but the biblical angels were portrayed with wings, and Abraham liked this design feature.   The Edenites reached Mount Sinai, and the lights from the seven suns shone on Lucifer, which made him, and his gemstones shine like a beacon with the rest of Eden dimmed. He spoke to the masses, his voice amplified by speakers hidden in the mountain.   Lucifer: -          Welcome to Eden humans, you are the last remnants of humanity. -          The terrible sins humanity forced the great Yahweh to be merciful and to destroy Earth. You are alive because of the benevolence of Grandmaster Abraham your new God. -          I am Lucifer his Archangel and emissary on Eden. Grandmaster Abraham speaks directly through me! -          You are expected to follow the commands of Grandmaster Abraham and his angels. Comply and you will be rewarded with an honest good life. Resist and you will suffer. -          Follow the angels to your villages. They will look after you during the transition period.   As the masses bowed down to Lucifer, he experienced mixed feelings; while rush of power was overwhelming and intoxicating; he would have preferred a role in the background.  During all his years on Earth, Lucifer had not attracted any attention; he was just a loyal servant to Abraham. It would take some time getting used to his new role, and Lucifer did not know if he would like it or not. In the end, it did not matter, Lucifer was loyal to his master, and his master gave him this role.
