Chapter 46 The Disconnect Deepens

Abraham Goldstein was struggling to focus and be satisfied with life. Despite having all the power, he had dreamt of he was not satisfied. In fact, he was severely frustrated: Sexually frustrated.

For the last 120 years, Abraham never had s*x. It wasn’t appealing to him although it was available to him due to his wealth and the right pharmaceuticals. Abraham’s physician had explained that a common side effect of the DNA regeneration technology was the lack of s****l drive once the individual had reached the end of his natural lifespan.  It had not bothered Abraham at the time. He was very sexually active during the first 130 years of his life and with the s****l drive gone he could focus his energy on expanding his wealth and power, which had peaked just before he set the Eden project in motion.

Since he lost his body and had his brain inserted into a cybernetic robot, Abraham's s*x drive had changed, and s*x became important again. He realised that this was because his new body made it impossible to have physical s*x and thus it became more important to him. Abraham fulfilled his s****l urges by watching people having s*x. This became an addiction to him and filled him with unfulfilled desires. From the Divine Dimension, he could connect to all the humans and watch them have s*x with each other. While doing this could not still the phantom pains and desires of his non-existing body part the worst part was… The Sodomites.

Sodomy was very uncommon on Earth during Abraham’s lifetime, and it had never bothered him that much.  While sodomy was not illegal on Earth, it was uncommon due to the laws and regulations surrounding births and deaths. Every individual on Earth had a set of bionic microchips controlling many aspects of their life. One of these chips acted like a permanent birth control device that prevented unplanned pregnancy.

To get pregnant, an individual needed permission from the authorities, which strongly recommended a DNA optimisation via in vitric fertilisation for every couple aiming to have children. The DNA optimisation gave the child the "best" genetic output based on the parents DNA. One of the genetics that was usually optimised away was genetic for homosexuality, which resulted in only 5 individuals in a million, was gay in the 28th Century. On Mars, where genes were spread naturally, the prevalence of homosexuality was between 5-10 per cent of the population; like the ratio on Earth in the 21st century.  Since the Edenites descended from Martians, they also had about 5-10 per cent homosexuals. 

Abraham was adamantly against homosexuality while his s****l addiction made him unhealthily fascinated by the concept. He reminded himself of Yahweh's suicide letter and realised the dangers he faced. He decided to act by doing two things:

·         He would have a chemical castration drug injected into his brain to get rid of his s****l obsession.

·         He would punish the sodomites severely following the scriptures and the ancient law.

Ideally, Abraham wanted to justify punishing the homosexuals among the Edenites. Unfortunately, nothing in the Abrahameon stated that homosexuality was a sin or forbidden, this oversight was because there was no homosexuals on Earth, which had made Abraham oblivious to the issue. Eventually Abraham found a way to justify punishment of homosexuals. He contacted Lucifer.

Abraham Goldstein:

-          Lucifer, I am angry with you.

Lucifer:

-          Grandmaster Abraham, I don't understand, how have I angered you?

Abraham Goldstein:

-          You have failed to punish the Sodomites for their ungodly behaviour!

Lucifer:

-          The Sodomites? What group is that and what have they done?

Abraham Goldstein:

-          The homosexuals, men who lay with men and women with women!

Lucifer:

-          Oh…

Lucifer and the other angels were mostly asexual and had little interest in s*x. Abraham had designed their DNA this way, to keep them focused on doing the missions he gave them. To be on the safe side, the angels also had microchips installed that repressed their sexuality. Lucifer had no idea why the homosexuals was an issue or why he was supposed to punish them; a bit frustrated he answered Abraham:

-          Abraham, I wasn’t instructed to keep track of the Edenites’ s****l habits and I cannot recall anything in Abrahameon that forbids homosexuality.

Abraham Goldstein:

-          One of my most important commandments in the Abrahameon is "Be fruitful and multiply." Choosing a life of sodomy is a clear intention to break that rule. Hence the culprits need to be severely punished!

-          Gather the angels, dress for punishment and terror; I will make everyone gather at Mount Sinai.

-          I will instruct you further once you are in position. Now go!

Hearing this, Lucifer decided to rush to get him and the other angels ready for immediate deployment to Eden.
