The only word that zoomed around in my head was, 'why?'. Why did it have to be a soon to be alpha? Why had I found him so soon? Why does he keep glancing at me with so much love in his eyes even though we met moments ago?
It was just plain awkward for me. My wolf was confused, she felt the mate bond and she was happy with the occasional glance we were receiving from him, but the way he was looking at us just didn't match up to us.
The meeting slowly came to an end. "We should leave." My father spoke up and for once, I had no words. I had no argument, opinion or agreement.
