"Welcome home, what would you want me to get for you guys"

"For now I'm okay, I just want to know what's important that Mr Benjamin couldn't even say to me earlier "said by Marcus

"Oh okay ,what of you Mr Benjamin?"

" Water would be fine for now"

"Ok so Marcus what I wanted to tell you was that your father's company is in huge debt and he has been paying the debt with the profits he earns from the hotels and restaurants "

"It's been 5 years since he owned those banks and they are demanding their money as soon as possible "

" But your parents aren't there to finish so you have to"

" I'm even speechless, my dad never told me of that and they always pretended everything was fine around them"

" Yh I guess because they thought it wasn't the right time to let you know as so you don't get worried"

"Ok so what do you want me to do now?"

"You have to get ready for your training,it begins tomorrow"

"Ok I have no problem"

"So you would be meeting me at my office after school every day and early in the morning at 7:00am on Saturdays for your training "

"Don't worry Marcus I'm here to support you and help you through "said by Mr Dave

"Thanks dad"

"Okay so I will be leaving now and will meet you tomorrow for your training "

On Monday

Marcus goes to school then after he closes he is driven to Mr Benjamin's office by his chauffeur to start his training

"Welcome Marcus"

"Thank you Mr Benjamin"

"Marcus Wilson,this is Mr Jerry. He is going to take you through the training"said by Mr Benjamin.

"Okay,nice meeting you Marcus"

"Nice meeting you too Mr Jerry"

"How long will the training take place Mr Jerry"

"I can't determine how long but I know it depends on how fast you learn and execute excellent results",said by Mr Jerry

"Okay sir"

"I have called nanny to bring you some snacks because I know you would be hungry by now"

"Yes Mr Benjamin,I'm really starving but you shouldn't have called nanny because I don't want to be stressing her"

"I know but you needed it"

" Yh I do but made up my mind to get some food at McDonald's but didn't want to be late so I had to make the chauffeur drive me here straight"

"Okay then next time I won't do that again"

"Oh no problem"

In some few minutes later nanny Niela arrives with Mr Dave and nanny serves all of them with some snacks to fill their tummy.

"But dad I wasn't expecting you here because you never mentioned it to me that you would be coming "

"Yes I wanted to surprise you,I can't miss my son's first training in becoming a CEO of so many properties "

"That's really nice of you"

" Marcus all your training will be done in my office and those that is need for you to go to your parent's company,I will take you there for that"said by Mr Jerry"

"Okay sir,I'm ready"

"But please I hope this wouldn't destruct his studies"said by Mr Dave.

”No sir, you know Marcus is a brilliant boy and his parents had already thought of it before making a will of such" said by Mr Benjamin.

"So Marcus your training begins now. Take note of all this documents, it shows how much money the hotels and restaurants make every month and how much you pay every month to the bank "

"Please study this document also because it tells everything about the company; their rules and regulations,every partner and their shares,what you would be doing as the CEO and among others"

"Okay Mr Jerry "

"If you come across anything you don't understand please don't hesitate to call me so I can explain to you"

"Okay sir"

"This is what I have for you at the moment. Those that need me to take you there to show you practically we will but for now you have to know everything in this documents and understand it better "

"Okay sir, thanks for your time"

"Then Marcus and I will take our leave now"said by Mr Dave

"Safe trip to your destination"said by Mr Benjamin

Days and months went by and Marcus was getting more knowledge about how to take over the company,hotels and restaurants of his parents. It was an hectic job for him because he was in his final year in high school and he needed to focus more and study hard in getting the GPA he promised his parents. But at the end his hardwork and determination made him get through.

"Marcus Wilson,you are now ready to take over your father's company. It hasn't been easy for you but you proved to us that you are your father's son. You took 8 months for this difficult task which I'm happy you did"said by Mr Jerry.

"Thank you sir, I couldn't have done this without your training and mentorship"

"Tomorrow God willing you have to be ready because I would want to introduce you to all the workers"

"Okay sir,I would be ready by 7:00am"

"Yes,7:00am is a perfect time"

"Congratulations son, you have really made your parents and I proud"

"You took a little time for this huge task, that's good of you"

"Thank you dad"

The next day

"Hurry up Marcus so I take you to the company myself. Or do you want to drive there by yourself?"

"Yes dad"

"I would love to go by myself because I'm not a kid anymore.I'm 19 years now so I'm an adult"

"Adult you say! Who says you are an adult. You are a teenager "

"The reason why I'm just agreeing to let you go by yourself is because the chauffeur is not available at the moment"

"Okay dad"

"So please be careful"

In less than 30 minutes when Marcus took of from the house to meet Mr Jerry he reaches his destination.

"Welcome Marcus"said by Mr Jerry

"Today is a big day for you and your stuffs"

"Yes, I'm meeting them for the first time so I'm just hoping they would like me and not see me as a young boy"

" They will surely like you. I have told them you are going to take over your dad's company as soon as possible to make sure the banks don't cease it"

"Ok,we can get inside now. I'm ready"

"Ok boss"

"Why boss? You never called me with that "

"That was because you weren't ready for that position so now as you are ready I want to be the first to call you that"

" But you all are much older than me and I wouldn't want the oldest men to approach me by that"

"Okay that's your wish, I can't force you to accept being called boss"

"Yh, let's go now"

"Okay"

"Hello Cindy,how are you doing?"

"I'm great Mr Jerry"

"Cindy, please announce to everyone that your new boss is in and would love to introduce himself"

"Okay sir,it will be done right away"

"I'm a bit nervous because they are all older than me and wouldn't know how to approach them"

"Don't worry Marcus,this normally happens to everyone.You will be fine"

"Guys Mr Jerry says our new boss is in but I saw a teenager with him"

"A teenager?"said by a colleague with a shout

"How can a teenager be our boss?"another colleague asked

"For now I don't know if it's him but he looks cute for my daughter "

"Then let's hurry up to see how that teenage boy looks like and who would be our boss"

All stuffs in the company rushed to the meeting room to avoid their boss from waiting for them

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen"

"Good morning boss,said by his stuff"

"But I didn't introduce him to you as your boss so why are you all calling him your boss"said by Mr Jerry

" I guess because I'm the only person standing infront of you with him and I'm a new person here" Marcus said to break the silence in the room

"Okay you all are right,I'm your new CEO and would be resuming work now"

"I really don't like talking much so I'm going to introduce myself briefly. My name is Marcus Wilson, I just completed high school, I love to smile and joke a lot but I hate lazy and dishonest people"

"Okay boss"

"Can you please stop calling me boss,I'm young enough to be your kids and others your grandson"

"So I would prefer you call me Mr Wilson but I can't force you all to call me by my name so whatever you guys are good with it's fine for me"

"You can all go back to your duties"

"Thank you Mr Wilson"said by his stuffs

"Girls did you notice how handsome he looks? I told you he looked charming"

"Cindy can you stop being like a kid because you are a bit older than him and he wouldn't be interested in you"

"Yh I know I'm a bit older than him but love has nothing to do with age"

"Really, are you the one saying this? You have broken so many guys heart just because they couldn't afford all your demands"

"Lydia please stop talking about my past here"she said with an angry look

"Cindy! Boss has been calling your name for the past few minutes and you are here having a conversation "

"Is he mad at me?"

"How would I know, just hurry up and go attend to him. Make sure you have a tangible reason for your disappearance"

"I hope he wouldn't scold or sack me "

" I don't think he is that heartless "

"Hello boss, I was told you were calling me"

"Yes I did, I called you through the telephone and also walked to your desk but didn't find you there"

"Yes boss and I'm sorry "

"Where did you go on working hours?"

" Boss please Linda and I were having a conversation "

"Having a conversation during work hours is really bad, but because you are honest to me I would pardon you. Make sure you don't repeat that again"

"Yes boss,I won't repeat that again"

"So boss please what do you want me to do for you"

"I wanted you to get me some tea but for now I don't feel for it so get me some juice with salad and bread"

"Ok boss"

"I saw a food truck a few blocks away from here, so you can get it there for me. I would want to know how their food tastes"

"Yes boss, it tastes really good and I know you would love it"

"Okay, please leave now"

Few hours later Marcus informs Cindy to tell her colleagues he is leaving to the house.

"Welcome home son, how was work today"?

"Everything was cool and everyone welcomed me with great smile"

"Okay,but you have to prove to them that you can do it"

"Yes and I'm on it"

"I wished I could be going to work with you to help you if you are stranded,but you know I also have a company to run"

"Ooh,never mind.I have been trained for it"

"Okay,if you say so"

"Go and shower yourself now and make sure you will be fast because nanny has made something delicious which you wouldn't want to enjoy cold"

"Yes dad, I will be back in a jiffy "

Months wents by and Marcus was paying the loans his parents owed before dying. When he took over the company he was makiymu h more profit than his parents did because he used a new strategy in running the company so he payed the arrears of the loan within 5 months. He made everyone in the company proud of him and this opened more opportunities for him because of what he could achieve within his short term in office. He had business proposals and partnerships from different countries in different continent.

"Good morning Boss"

"Good morning Cindy,how are you doing today?"

"I'm doing good "

"Ok so what brings you to my office in such a hurry?"

"There are some people who want to speak with you"

"Do you know who they are?"

"They said they are journalist and they want to ask you some few questions"

"Okay,let them in"

"But boss these paparazzi only gossip and ruin people's life whenever they want"

"Thanks but you shouldn't worry about me,I know how to handle them"

"Good morning sir"

"Good morning, please may I know who you guys are and why you have cameras all around"

"We are journalist from Rickhouse Media house.We came all the way from San Francisco to ask you some few questions"

"Sir, how did you make it to the best 5 companies in this city? Your company was at the 20th for some years now"

"But you have changed the history of it when you became the head within 11 months"

"Ok,I will say hardwork, perseverance and determination"

"I would be honest with you, I don't have any secret but I will just say God does things in his own way "

"So sir are you trying to tell us that you are a prayerful person and you achieved everything by prayers"

"I will say prayer was my key in addition to hardwork and determination "

"What are the risk you took to achieve all this"

"I had to put my plans to further my education aside and focus on reviving this company before I can complete my plans"

"Wow, that's a difficult decision to make"

"Yeah,and your last question please for now because I have so much work on my desk to attend to"

"What's your advice for the youth?"

"Youth of these days always want the easiest way to achieve something but today I'm making it clear that you can only achieve something through hardwork. Hardwork and patience are the key to success. The youth also need to read a lot to have more ideas and knowledge "

"Okay thanks,we will leave now "

"Okay"

Few hours later Marcus was feeling exhausted so he wanted to go out and have some fresh air and relax for a while before coming to continue his work

"Nanny Niela please come to my office so we can go for the shopping together"

"Okay son,I will be right there"

After some few minutes she arrived and they went together.

"Marcus,have you noticed this beautiful lady has been staring at you since we came here"

"Yes nanny,but I don't know what she wants"

"Go to her and ask her. You are grown enough to start dating again"

"Forget about the breakup with your previous girlfriend and move on"

"I have nanny.Just don't want to go through that experience again"

"Okay son, let's just focus on what we came here for"

"Nanny can we go now because I think the items we have bought are enough for the month"

"It's Queen,the girl you met at the supermarket two days ago"

Few minutes later

"My schedule is really tight today so let's make it tomorrow"

The next day Marcus wakes up early to have his morning routine which is jogging and working out at the gym.

se pick up an attire for me because I'm meeting Queen today"

"Before that, can you please bring my phone"

"Hello Cindy,how was your night??"

"It was great boss"

"Ok,I wouldn't be coming early because I will be meeting someone this morning.So please reschedule any emergency meeting"
