chapter 6 The fight

I finally got strong enough to make it out of the bathroom and miraculously survived the crowded stairway without anyone having to call an ambulance.
Where's Audrey I kept on repeating trying not to forget what my mission was, which was to get the hell out of here.
if only I had my wolf by now that would have been really useful all I needed was just to smell her scent, but now that I think about it trying to find her scent would be hard and unpleasant, even without my wolf I can still smell alcohol and sweat and I could smell vomit close by which still made my about it being unpleasant.
" Hmmm"I groaned I held my head feeling another wave of headache hit me.
" Another shot" I could hear someone yell from outside
Seriously I said raising my head,are the people normal. I can barely walk and from the looks of it this party just started.
I could see people moving towards the pool, without warning I could feel the crowd pushing me towards the pool too.
" Omg you're soo cute" a girl said giggling
Wait I recognize that voice it's Audrey
Audrey I said jumping up but I was too short for her to see or maybe because she obviously still flirting with her new crush
I seriously hope my wolf comes with adding a little bit of height.
I could feel myself being carried by a pair of hands.
Heyyyyyy let me go,i said struggling to find my balance.
Looking down I saw a guy from biology class.
He managed to maneuver his way towards the other side of the pool, which was impressive by the way cause it was really crowded out here.
"Down you go" he said dropping me down really slowly, like how you would drop a toddler.
I'm josh he said stretching out his hands.
"Yeahh I thought I recognised you" I said taking his hand in mine.
Really you do,he said with a look of suprise on his face.
"Yeah sure why not" I said looking confused," we've had biology class together for years, why wouldn't I notice".
"Maddie" I heard someone scream my name, and there she was, Audrey.
I could see her trying to wriggle her way towards the end of the pool.
Until she saw Josh , with a smug look in her face she mouthed the words"he's cute talk to him, I'm at the front porch holla if you need me"
How I managed to understand everything to say I don't know. I guess that's what makes us best friends.
So I think we can have as much time to talk then josh said slowly. I guess he must have noticed what just happened between Audrey and I.
"Yeah" I said nervously.
I hate Audrey I said under my breath she knows how nervous I can get around boys.
'What did you say" Josh said looking at me curiously.
Oh great now he's staring at me with curiosity in his eyes, now he'll be hard to get rid of I know that myself cause that's how I look at Damon and it's not good on my side obviously.
Nothing I'm just really cold I said wrapping my hands around my bare shoulders. I really should have brought my jacket.
Rule number one of going to a party always bring your jacket.
So I was saying I'm really surprised that you know cause you know you're one of the cool kids.
What I said joking on my saliva.
This guy needs to check his facts cause I barely remember that I exist sometimes, much more being one of the cool kids.
Yeah I mean you're always hanging out with Audrey and Damon and they also hang out with the other cool kids.
Oh dear I see where this is going.
So perhaps do you know if Audrey has anyone she's interested in or something like that.
Busted he wasn't interested in me.
He was interested in Audrey.
Hmm I'm getting better at picking this things up, I mean his was pretty rusty than all the tons of guys that have tried to get me to set them up with Audrey.
"Well what I'm saying is that we have a ton of classes together and she doesn't notice sometimes I try to make small talks with but I'm too scared to do it and sometimes I really think she's playing hard to get he said blabbering words out. And I think we're soulmates infact and I just want to get things started before she turns into a full wolf by February and her mate tries to steal her away from me". Okay possessive much.
"Wait hold on "I said raising my hands to stop talking.
"WTF "I said starting my sentence.
"Are you out of your f*****g mind.
First of my friend is playing hard and to get do you know why because she's wayyyy out of your league".
And why are you acting like you own her or something.
"And what if you have classes together that doesn't mean she's your f*****g soulmate, honestly I think you're f****d up in the head."
"Stay tf away from my friend" I said walking away.
He grabbed my arm pulling me back
"Or what" he said through gritted teeth
Damn for a human he's pretty strong.
Is everything okay here, one of the football players who I guess was one of Nate's crew.
"No everything is fine" I said pulling my arms from his tight grip.
"Do you mind Nate's friend" said to Josh signalling to him.
'No of course not" josh said scurrying away.
"Creep" we both said.
Laughing he said "Soo" trying to start a conversation.
Nope not doing this again I said walking past him towards the other side of the pool looking for Audrey determined to get out of here as soon as possible which quickly became a bad idea cause I saw Damon making out with Brittany.
More like she was making out with him and he just let her.
She saw me standing and staring at them like an i***t and she had this look in her eyes and she pulled Damon's hands lower.And I swear I saw a look I couldn't explain in her eyes.
Forcing my body inside the house I could feel my movements I could feel how stiff my body moved I guess Audrey noticed it too cause she quickly walked towards me and held my face asking if I was okay
And I didn't know what to say cause to be honest I didn't know what I felt I was just numb.
"I feel like throwing up" I said instead.
Okay to the bathroom then.
"No "I said pulling her towards the exit.
"No wait, where's Damon."
I pointed out side and she quickly pulled me with her.
No no I think we should just go instead. I said resisting.
"You know we can't drive we're both wasted".
By now we were standing few feets away from them and Godd they were still making out, don't they run out of breath or something.
Audrey followed my eyes and saw the "beautiful sight" right in front of us.
She had a look of pity in her which quickly left cause she knew how much I hated being pityed.
Not even giving a care in the world she walked towards them.
"Heyyyyyy" she said yelling at them.
"We need to leave Damon".Audrey said with authority in her voice.
Sometimes I don't know if she's brave or just filled with Too much audacity for someone her height.
"He can't we're busy , can't you see that"Brittany said pushing Damon back down.
"What "Audrey said in disbelief.
Rushing towards them before it got what worse than it already is.
"Audrey let's just go "I said while trying to pull her away.
"Yeah leave". Brittany said standing up.
"Hey hey you guys need to calm down" Damon said gently.
Standing up about to grab his jacket Brittany held his hand with a puppy look in her eyes begging him to stay to be honest I was also getting kind of pissed I don't know if it was the alcohol or I was just really tired of standing outside in the cold I yanked her hands off Damon's wrist.
Pulling him towards me everyone was surprised I was surprised too.
"Let go of him he's not your pet". Brittany yelled this time gaining some attention,i guess that's what she wanted Attention because of the things she wanted to say to humiliate me.
Neither is he your pet either. I yelled back.
"Shut up you're just a stupid whining third wheel that follows him around like a stupid puppy".
"How dare you" I said grabbing a drink and emptying whatever it was on her.
"Oooooooooo "I heard the crowd gasp.
I guess we managed to get everyone's attention.
Before anyone could take another breath Brittany slapped me and Audrey slapped her back and Brittany pulled my hair and her friends joined in and so did Audrey and we all pulled ourselves towards the pool trying to push our opponents in but sadly we all ended up getting soaked and before we knew it everyone started punching each other and it quickly became chaos at the party.
Struggling to get out I could still hear Audrey still yanking one of the girl's hair.
"Audrey let's go" I shouted trying to get us to leave.
10 minutes later....
Jesus Audrey said finally catching her breath as we walked towards the car.
"Best party ever "we both yelled while laughing hysterically.
" Jinx "she said running towards the passenger seat.
"Come on" I said waving my hands in defeat I'm not sure I'm okay enough to drive.
"Neither am I "she said looking at me her torn dress.
"I drank wayy more than you remember" she said looking at me.
Yeah she's right.
"Well I guess if we both die it's your fault "I said pointing my finger at her.
"I would gladly die with you "she said drunkenly.
Driving off I could still hear the sounds of bottles getting broken.
