Eamon's POV
I felt something shining through the cage I was. My whole body ached my eyelids were heavy as I slowly opened my eyes. How long was I out?? I asked myself. The sun filtered through the cage I was.
Before I could gather my thoughts I heard heavy thuds of boots echoing outside my cell. The sound got closer and closer until I felt the door to my cell creaked and it swung open.
A soldier stood at the entrance with a disdainful look "stand up, you mongrel, the king called for you." He said while kicking me with his boots.
He dragged me up the chains in my hands and leg made every part of my body feel numb. The guard dragged me along as he brings me towards a room.
The entrance of the room had four vicious guards at the entrance.
My heart pounded in my chest. I was scared as well as wondering why the King Avalon had called for me. A lot was going through my head and I couldn't seem to steady my gaze everything looked blur to me.
"Your majesty we have brought him" one of the guards said.
"Bring him in" the voice replied resonating through the room.
The door was pushed open by one of the guards as they brought me to my knees In front of the King of Avaloria.
The room was adorned with relics and tapestries. King Avalon sat on his tribe exuding an aura of authority and power.
My gaze met his, I wanted to speak but sounds couldn't come out. I felt like tearing him to pieces. The thought of seeing the one that destroyed my Eldoria and not being able to do anything made me angry at myself. I felt so powerless, tears streamed down my cheek.
"Eamon the Lycan king, how sad I couldn't imagine you'd be captured so easily." He said with a mischievous grin on his face.
"I summoned you here to ask you about the seal have you heard of it??" He asked.
"Seal?? What seal??" I said feigning ignorance.
"The Lycan seal - said to be in the possession of Eldorians. It grants dominion over every lycan alive."
With every ounce of strength I had left I pulled myself up a bit, I looked into his eyes and said "even if I know where it is, do you think I'll give it to you??"
A mocking smile played on his lips "do you have a choice??" He said "you're now my slave and I can do whatever I feel like with you."
"You can only do what you can but you can never make me talk" I said confidently.
"I'll teach you what it means to be a servant." The king said "guards take him to the tower of solitude deprive him of food and punish him severely" he said his voice laced with authority.
" Yes sir " the soldiers replied as they made their way towards me.
The guards made their way towards me as they forcefully picked me up with my arms and turned me away from the king."
My whole body felt numb I couldn't see anything my whole system was broken as I was being dragged through different corridors and chambers.
I was dragged outside and for the first time in days I saw the sky it was bright almost too bright for me. I was dragged until we got to a building.
It stood tall almost piercing the sky made of weathered rock and has a cylindrical shape reaching upward with an unwavering strength. It's exterior adorned with different carvings has been eroded by time leaving it's a weathered facade that blended naturally with the elements that surrounded it.
Fear griped my heart, I couldn't help but wonder what to expect inside. My heart pounded in my chest and sweat covered my whole body as I was being dragged into the building.
The door to the building opened up and the inside was very dark and noise of people's scream filled the air.
What was going on? I couldn't see anything my heart continued to beat faster than normal. My resolve shaken "should I tell him everything I know??, What's the use everything I held dear to my heart was gone"
The guards dragged me deep into the tower and pushed me into one of the cells. The cell was tighter than the last one and the walls was not smooth I tried sitting and a knife like object pierced my skin. I could only lie down or sit in the center of the room with my body in place and not touch the wall.
My whole body felt numb. This punishment was nothing like the ones I've ever faced my body writhes in pain.
"Is this the price I must pay??" I whispered to myself my voice laden with anguish " To carry the weight of a fallen kingdom, haunted by the faces of those I couldn't save? And living in this sort of pain in this despicable place??"
"I can't bear this pain??" I said with a resolute voice "there should be a way out."
My thoughts averted back to the king and his pursuit of ultimate power. "Maybe I'll use this vulnerability against him." I thought. "In a battle of wits the one with the brains should win."
I had to strike a deal with the king. The thought of striking a deal with the one who had taken away my pride and defiled my honor was a hard pill to swallow, yet a glimmer of hope tugged at my heart.
With a determined resolve, I had made a choice that'll change my fate. The path ahead would be treacherous and filled with burdens of the past but I have to go through them, no matter what happens I have to be victorious even if I'll have to Avalon's dog for a while it'll be a sacrifice for the greater good.
