To Cherish You Forever

Chapter 8

“Hey gorgeous, are you just going to keep staring? We are here for our date.” Jacob was already unfastening my seatbelt. I didn’t realize what he was doing. Yes, I was staring at the grand yacht but my mind is not really there. So many things went on in my head at that moment. That Jacob would go the extra mile just to have this memorable date. This is by far the grandest date for me. Yes, I know he got all the money in the world to make this kind of date possible. However, to come up with this kind of date is just something. He could have just brought me somewhere like a fancy restaurant or just less grand than this. I felt that he is treating me like a queen. Any woman would surely trade places with me right now.

“Are we going in that?” I still can’t believe it. I have been on a yacht before with my family but not as big and grand as the one in front of me.

“Yes. That is where we are spending our date tonight. Do you like it?” I just nodded my head. Jacob was beaming at me. Any woman would be extremely happy to be treated like a queen.

“This is too much. This fits for royalty.” Jacob’s eyebrows arched a little bit. And he went close to my ear to whisper something.

“Why? Aren’t you my beautiful queen? Alya, I would do anything for you to win your heart.” Then, he extended his hand so he could help me get out of his car. I went along with him. The moment we inched closer to the yacht, I felt so surreal.

Right at the stairway entrance to the yacht, it was all covered with red carpet. We went to the middle deck where I saw a waiter waiting for us at a round table.

Jacob pulled the chair for me. While waiting for our dinner, I took my time to look around. The whole middle deck is extravagantly furnished. It has a huge Mediterranean carpet that covers the whole deck’s flooring. In the center, is a magnificently looking chandelier. It has multi-tiered starry-like features. Its glow gives the ambience of an amazing summer night sky. It has a comfortable salon to the other side of our table which serves as the entertainment section.

“This is such a beautiful place. I have been on a yacht during our family vacation, but not as big as this one. This is a luxury yacht!” I am excited to see the upper and lower deck. I saw a jacuzzi pool on the lower deck earlier while we were walking on the stairs.

“I love the beach. So, I bought this a year ago. You are the only special woman I have ever brought here. My family and friends spend time here whenever there is a special occasion.” I wasn’t surprised that he owns this luxurious yacht. The price of this one alone costs a massive fortune.

“What’s the name of your yacht?” Jacob was surprised, I asked. I saw him scratching his head.

It is common for a yacht owner to give a name to their yacht. Even a sailboat has its name.

“Actually, I haven’t thought of that yet. I have yet to find the best name to give to this yacht.” I chuckled at what he said. He must be too busy from work to think of a yacht’s name.

“Anyway, are you really hungry right now?” He asked out of the blue. I shook my head but wondered why he asked. Then he made a signal with his hand and the waiter came in.

“Please serve our dinner after half an hour.” He simply said. Right after the waiter left, he immediately pulled my hand.

“Alya, there is something I want to show you. It actually can’t wait.” I have no clue as to what he just said but I let him guide me to wherever he wants to go.

We landed on the upper deck of the luxurious yacht. I didn’t realize that it is getting dark. It’s 6:30 pm when I looked at my wristwatch.

“Look at that!” I excitedly pointed to the horizon in front of us.

“Yes, that is why I brought you here… for the sunset. I know you love nature.” Then, he smiled at me. He looks so handsome in any angle you see him.

“Thank you so much. The view from here is so fantastic. Look at the sky with its mix of orange and purple hues. It is just breathtaking.” I couldn’t contain my emotions at that moment. The sunset gave us a more romantic ambience. I wanted to linger more and savor the moment. Nothing is more romantic than the natural beauty of nature.

“Yeah. It is really breathtaking.” His voice sounded like a whisper to my ears. I wasn’t sure which one he was referring to. The sunset… or me. I turned red thinking about what he just said.

I was so enthralled looking at the exquisite view in front of us. I didn’t realize that Jacob got very close to me. He was just staring at me for a long time. I was also doing the same thing. It was like we were put under a magic spell. There was only us and the amazing sunset. I don’t have any idea how long we have been staring at each other. No one uttered a single word.

It was the sound of a violin that broke the spell between us. I was more surprised that there was actually someone playing the violin behind us. He was playing a familiar song. Suddenly, to my big surprise, Jacob started singing and dancing with me.

“It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart”, Jacob started singing. I stayed quiet and just listened to every word of the song. There were parts that he would just hummed nevertheless he still has a great singing voice. We kept dancing slowly the whole time. It felt so great to be in his arms. I felt like there is nowhere else in the world I rather be than in his arms. Moments like this is something that I would forever treasure in my heart.

I have realized something while trying to reminisce the whole six months of exclusively dating Jacob. He is someone, when he really puts his sight on something or someone, he is determined to achieve what he wants. It brings out that soft spot in him. At least that is what I see when we are together.

Jacob finished singing the whole song while my head was on his chest. “Sharing this moment with you is priceless. This is what I have been dreaming of. To spend this magical moment with you.” And just like that, I am head over heels in love with this amazing man.

“Thank you. This was really so sweet and romantic. I also discovered that you have a great voice.” He slightly chuckled. He basically has almost everything. He comes with a complete package. He got great looks. He is a successful young billionaire and comes from a good family. He just showed me now his talent at singing. I wonder what he can do next.

“You’re welcome. My singing voice is for your ears only. I have never sung in front of my family nor with any women, I dated before.” I smiled at him. I trust whatever he says.

“So, are you ready for dinner?” I nodded and he extended his arm and together we both went downstairs to have our dinner. The moment we sat down at the table, all our food were served course after course. We were also served some nice red wine to go with our main course, which is steak.

We had some light conversations while eating. We laughed at some funny jokes. We didn’t talk about our work or his businesses. I can say that we get along well in almost everything. How can I be this lucky?

It took us almost two hours just to finish our dinner. No one mentioned what happened on the upper deck. That moment would forever stay in my heart and mind.

After dinner, Jacob took me to the lower deck. The place has a two-bedroom with its own toilet and bath. Each room is very spacious and well-furnished. I felt like I was at a five-star hotel. The main highlight of the lower deck is the Jacuzzi pool. It looks so relaxing. I even took off my heels. I went to sit down on the edge of the jacuzzi pool and dipped my legs for a few minutes.

“This is so relaxing.” I sighed deeply, feeling calmed and contented.

“We can come back here next time to try this jacuzzi for a long time. What do you think?” Jacob asked candidly. I was surprised he said that. I couldn’t voice out what’s in my mind. I was thinking of intimate moments with him. We were never intimate during the whole time he pursued me. He is always the gentleman, trying to keep his distance. The most intimate thing we did was earlier. We were dancing so close and I put my head on his chest. We haven’t even kissed yet.

“Well, I don’t know. If you are not too busy from work, then why not?” I smiled at him. Actually, I got nervous for myself. The physical attraction is just too strong to ignore on my part.

After spending like half an hour at the lower deck, we both decided to go back to the upper deck to do some stargazing. I didn’t notice that there was a telescope to the side that we can use to view the beautiful night lights.

“Thank you so much for making everything special. Tonight, you truly exceeded my expectations of a dinner date. This is really amazing.” I sincerely said to him. This is really the perfect place for a date with an amazing man.

“You deserve more than I can give you. That’s how much you mean to me.” I smiled at him lovingly.

“That’s just so touching. You are almost perfect, Jacob. I still couldn’t believe I have met someone like you.” It is true. He almost got everything except his playboy image.

Jacob was seriously looking at me. “No, I am far from perfect Alya. I am sincerely happy that I’ve met you.” He continued staring intensely that I started to get more conscious of my looks.

“Hmmm… Alya, I told you almost six months ago not to pressure you to take on to the next level. However, I just felt the need to open it up again. Now, I am asking you, will you be my girl?” Simple, sweet, and straightforward. I love that about him. There is no looping around.

“Yes.” This is it! There is no turning back. I finally said the word.

“What did you just say? I just want to make sure that I heard you right.” Jacob looked at me with his serious brown eyes.

“Yes Jacob, I would love to be your girl.” Right after I said it, he smiled widely and then hugged me tightly.

“You just don’t know how much you’ve made me the happiest man tonight.” I smiled back at him. I even kissed his cheek. He looked at me intensely again and then I felt his lips on mine. It was just a short and gentle kiss but it sent waves of electricity into every core of my body. When the kiss ended, my eyes were still closed. I’ve just realized that it ended when I heard Jacob clearing his throat. Immediately, I opened my eyes only to see him staring at me. We were staring at each other for a while, studying each part of our faces. That night was perfect. The moon was beaming brightly at us with all the sparkling stars.

Jacob drove me back to my apartment. Even in the car, we were holding hands together. I couldn’t stop myself from smiling. When we arrived, he walked with me to my apartment. I invited him for a cup of coffee. I saw him hesitated for a few seconds, then refused my offer. He told me that he will travel tomorrow on a business trip. He would be back the next day which is the weekend. He already made a plan for us to go somewhere. I readily agree. Of course, I want to spend as much time with him.

We ended our date with another kiss. This time it wasn’t so gentle. At first, he just kissed me lightly, but I wanted more. I slightly parted my lips, which encouraged him to kiss me deeply. It was a long, passionate kiss. When the kiss ended, I was panting. I felt like he just sucked out all the air in me. That kiss was intoxicating, which left me heady.

“That was an amazing goodnight kiss. From now on, I have something to look forward to.” I turned red. I wasn’t sure if he was serious or just teasing me. Either way, tonight was such a great night.

Jacob drove back to his place. I was left all alone in my apartment still feeling heady. A few minutes after, I cleaned up to get ready for bed. However, I couldn’t sleep immediately. I got a message from Jacob just a few minutes ago telling me he is back in his condo.

“Baby, I am in my condo now. Thank you so much for tonight. You made me really happy. The waiting was worth everything. Please sleep well, my love. Goodnight and sweet dreams.” I couldn’t stop smiling. Everything kept replaying in my head. The moment I saw the yacht, we entered into a red carpet stairs, the delicious dinner, when Jacob sang and danced with me… finally when I said yes to him. Everything was just so surreal. Before I went to sleep, I prayed that he will be the one. That nothing bad comes in our relationship.

I went to sleep that night happy and contented. It was the smiling face of Jacob that I remember before I finally went to sleep.
