Monday morning, Caroline graded the research papers. Her mind wandered as she flagged faulty citations and weak parallelism.
Freshman composition isn’t my favorite class to teach, she admitted to herself in the privacy of her mind, but since Sheridan Murphy got hired as a full-time lecturer two years ago, I thankfully only have one section per semester. Sheridan, for whatever reason, loves that class. I suppose she enjoys preparing her students for Michael since he appreciates her success so much.
She paused, her gaze straying to the portraits of the Brownings hanging on her wall. They brought her mind around to romance. After pursuing him for several years, Michael finally succumbed to the lures of his beautiful former student and she moved in with him. They’re a nice couple
