“Figures of speech”, he said, as an excuse to get off of the hook. Ava nodded as the explanation seemed believable. Given that for someone to forget a person is an absurd idea to her, a figure of speech to mean that the woman has completely moved on might as well be the meaning behind the words.
“Anyway, we’re all set to leave, just waiting for the driver, and with that I meant you. Let’s go”, she said and walked, first leaving Jay some space to calm his nerves down with a sigh, and followed to drive the car straight to the Jungle.
“Remind me where the waterfall is?”
“Near the edge of the Island’s Jungle”, she explained as they entered the forest.
