"Do you have a place to go?" I asked as softly as I could. Suhana stood hugging herself tight, sobbing like a baby. I knew the answer but I knew she was afraid. Her head hanging low, her legs trembling. "You are safe now..." I tried getting closer. After a long time, my body wanted to hold someone so badly but I resisted the urge. "I am sorry for that night, I was..."
"Thank you." She said in return. "I don't know how to pay you back." She lifted her face.
"Do you have a place? Can I drop you somewhere?" I asked again.
She remained silent.
"Do you want to come with me then?" I hoped I didn't sound desperate. But I really was. This was strange, I was feeling breathless...for a complete stranger whom I had kissed once. "You'll be safe...I promise."
She just nodded. She looked around.
