ARGUMENT.

Grim's POV. Everywhere was silent, Pearl had stopped laughing. Her head bowed to the ground as Lilith continued discussing with Director Alex. To think he was still the director of the entire sports team, even after we left, is a surprise. I thought his ass would have been booted by now. "When should I commence training? I suggest right away since apparently they have been slacking due to your previous coach." Lilith said and I noticed Pearl clenching her fists tightly. I was about to speak, but Magnus beat me to it. "I am sure Pearl tried her best, don...." "I refuse to accept this. A deal is a deal." Pearl suddenly cut in and Gitten's eyes widened slightly. Everyone seemed shocked, especially me. We had all assumed she had given up. I mean the bowing was accepting defeat, wasn't it? Director Alex furrowed his brows at her, in his eyes, a flicker of annoyance showed. "I am only doing what is best for the team, Pearl, so there is no deal. You are out." He told her and she gritted her teeth against one another, while the side of Lilith's lips curled. Just then, the door was kicked open, startling everyone. We all turned to see..... "Really? I never knew the Director of Sports had lost all integrity." A familiar girl with white hair and red eyes said, as she walked in, her head standing tall. I turned to look at Director Alex. All colors drained out of his face while Gittens frowned. The brothers' jaws all dropped and I seemed to be the only one lost here because who was this girl? Why did she look familiar? "E-Elara," Pearl whispered, but we all caught it, and like the snap of a finger, my memories jolted, and I remembered exactly who this girl was. Elara walked up to Pearl and gathered her into her arms. Pearl's eyes stretched in disbelief and she seemed to be trembling in shock, her eyes growing misty. She looked so vulnerable, and my heart ached, so I looked away. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be battling Nova?" Gittens questioned as he folded his hands across his chest. "Not current, I see. I took over Nova last month." Elara smirked and I shuddered unconsciously. Griffin and his brothers, even Jaxton, all went pale at her words, while Director Alex looked like he was gonna die. I couldn't blame them. Nova was a widely known organization known for its horrible dealings and running things behind the scenes. They more or less contributed to the ruling of the werewolf society, and this girl here just claimed to be the new head? I turned to see Lilith no longer looking as confident, frustration was written all over her face. "Impossible." She growled and Elara glared at her, releasing Pearl and holding her by the shoulders. "Who's the b***h?" She asked, and Lilith gritted her teeth against one another, wanting to return the glare, but Elara deepened it. Everywhere turned tense. A frightening aura arose that made Lilith look away. Not only was Elara now frightening but she was now in control of Nova? How come? What did I miss? Countless thoughts drifted through my mind as I watched Pearl now relaxing and I almost smiled. I didn't care about how Elara, the once weak girl, became like this anymore. All that mattered was that she was here for Pearl. We, the Alphas, couldn't exactly step up now, especially after betraying her trust. "M-mrs E-E-lara." Alex stuttered. Mrs? She was married? I scoffed at Alex, whose bravado seemed to have jumped all out of the window. He wasn't worth the title "Director." "W-when did you g-get back?" He questioned, scratching the back of his head. "None of your business. Why am I receiving news that my friend, here, after all her hard work is being removed as Coach?" Elara threw back the question at him and Alex gulped, not finding anything to say. "Well, your friend wasn't being hardworking enough because the basketball team of the school is dead last in the rankings." Lilith interceded and Alex nodded briskly in support. "I didn't ask for your comment because if I can recall perfectly, you are nobody at this moment." Elara shut Lilith down. Lilith dug her nails into her palm, her face heating up in anger. "You are asking for it, whore." She tried standing up when Gittens placed a hand on her shoulders to calm her down. "She isn't a nobody. She is the newly acquired coach who brought the Six Generational Alphas here, to save your wrecked team." Gittens defended and Elara chuckled. "Brought? Oh please. Pearl here was the one who suggested the six Alphas in the first place and is the one who brought them here, but unfortunately, you tried to hijack as usual, Gittens." Elara smiled. "So tell me. Why is she getting fired when she had a deal, kept to it, and obviously knows what's best for the team, unlike some dumb b***h sitting in my presence?" Elara turned to yell at Alex, who jumped in his seat, beads of sweat gathering on his forehead. "B-but Miss Lilith h-here i-s t-heir m-m-mate." Alex struggled to say, his hands trembling on the desk. "So......?" Elara drawled and Nathaniel stepped forward. "The six generational Alphas only listen to the command of either their mate or the one to whom they are bonded." He explained, and Elara mouthed an "oh", looking at Pearl, whose eyes had drifted away. "Yes, Lilith turned out to be our mate but then we have already bonded to Pearl. She came to us first." Griffin added and Lilith glared at him. "I have more command over you guys, whether you all f****d her or not." She snapped and Pearl sighed, releasing Elara and going to sit on the sofa in the office. She held her head in both her hands and was breathing heavily. My heart skipped a beat. Was her condition reacting? Gittens looked like he wanted to move towards her, but clenched his fists and looked away instead. I smirked. It was exactly like I had thought. "Seems we can't make a decision since they both have a right to be the coach." Magnus pointed out. "How is a stray qualified to be a coach?" Elara huffed and Lilith's expression tightened yet again. Elara was so getting under her skin. "Because she is our mate, and if we can't decide, let them both play one-on-one, and the winner would be Coach," Jaxton suggested and Pearl flinched.
