Grim's POV.
I stood in a corner, watching Pearl trying to toss the ball into the court, but unfortunately, it bounced off the ridges and to the floor.
She ran, picked, and tossed it again, but the ball went above the pole to the ground. She tried three more times, but still couldn't shoot perfectly.
I stayed around till it got dark. She dropped the ball, collapsing on the floor, and began to breathe heavily.
Pearl wasn't a shooter, it was her greatest weakness, but then she had to make it one of her strengths, for she would need the skill tomorrow.
"s**t!" She cursed as she got up, bending to pick up the ball again. It was dark, but I could see clearly.
She was clad in a red, armless jersey and tight shorts that framed her ass perfectly for my view.
"Atta girl," I smirked, loving my favorite color on her, feeling my d**k twitch in my pants as well.
She shook her head, her long, curly, brown hair flipping around, her amber orbs glistening under the moonlight and I was mesmerized, drawn.
She ran to the beach, grabbed her bottle of water and towel, wiping the sweat off her face before opening her bottle to take a long gulp.
After she was done, she returned to training and bounced the ball with great effort, but once it came to shooting, it went off repeatedly.
Witnessing this made my heart ache for her, my hands clenching into fists as I remembered that shooting was one of Lilith's greatest skills.
She was a pro at it. Despite that, Gittens would still make sure to train her more, as I know that he would do everything in his power to make sure that Pearl loses and gets kicked off the team.
It's still a surprise, though, that Elara appeared out of nowhere and saved Pearl's butt, but I was glad for it; otherwise, only God knew the kind of drama or Trauma that might have taken place with Pearl again, just like back then.
Her eighteenth birthday. It was chaos and I never imagined I could do what I did for her.
I came out of my hideout, walking towards Pearl who was too focused on throwing the ball into the basket to even notice me, despite my heavy footsteps.
I stood directly behind her and admired her hourglass figure. Pearl had always had a nice figure, even before she was 18.
The one girl who could make me both sane and insane at the same time.
I took in a deep breath and moved a bit closer to her, then as if she sensed me, Pearl stiffened and wanted to turn around when I immediately wrapped my hands around her waist.
I leaned in, placing my chin on her shoulder but not before placing a quick peck on the corner of her mouth.
She flinched and struggled against me but I tightened my hold on her, placing my nose into her neck, inhaling her alluring scent that always made me go crazy.
"G-grim, l-let me go." She struggled to say as she tried to pry my hands off her but I refused to let her go, just like I never would again.
Gittens might have thought he won but nothing in this world could ever separate me from Pearl, not even a thousand mates can.
Pearl would always be mine and I didn't care if I had to share or kill more to have her. She was my everything, even though she probably didn't realize it yet or was still in denial.
Pearl tried throwing her head backwards with great force to smash my nose and I growled, anger or was it jealousy rising in me?
I mean why was she using the defending moves Jaxton taught her against attacks on me?
I could never hurt Pearl, atleast not physically.
I released my hold a bit before turning her around to face me, my hands on her waist once again.
She frowned, glaring as she stepped on my foot but I didn't care and just looked deep into her eyes.
"What are you doing here? Let me go Grim." She repeated, but I just leaned forward instead to kiss her on her forehead.
She froze, and I loosened my grip. Then she stepped backwards suddenly and slapped me across the face before pushing me backwards with all her might.
"You bastard." She yelled. "How dare you show your face after everything?".
She slapped me again and I could taste blood at the bottom of my lips while she punched me on the chest repeatedly.
"Even though it was foolish of me, I thought you would be different but why lie to me?" She questioned, her eyes growing misty but I just stood there, unable to say anything.
"Screwing me, bonding with me was you guys from of promise to me but yet, you all broke it in barely 24 hours?" She scoffed, wiping a tear that dropped from her eyes.
I moved closer to her, luckily, she didn't move away; rather, she looked up at me, her teary eyes telling me everything.
She wanted answers, explanations that I couldn't give, so instead I cupped her face in my hands, leaned forward like I wanted to kiss her, and instead licked the tear stain off her face.
Her breath hitched as she shuddered in my hands. She should slap me again, but she didn't, so I looked downwards and noticed her n*****s poking through her jersey.
She wasn't wearing a bra. I smiled and took a hand to her hair, stroking it gently.
I always knew this girl was just perfect for me. I mean, she matched my craziness because who else would be getting aroused over a guy she was mad at?
Pearl might not know it yet, but she was a wild one, and I was gonna teach her to know her feelings and give in to them.
"I am here to help you train," I told her and she widened her eyes slightly.
Her lips parted as if to form words, but then she sealed them, and I found myself imagining slapping my c**k against those pink lips.
I grabbed the ball from her hand to distract myself, and she let out a gasp as I bounced it around her before turning to throw it into the basket.
It went in smoothly even though I was some distance away. Pearl looked stunned and I grinned because I could understand why.
She couldn't even throw it despite almost kissing the court due to how close she was to it.
"Come closer," I ordered and she threw me a glare but answered nevertheless.
I positioned her with the ball and helped her land each shot. She missed tons but was able to get some.
An hour or so passed, we were both drenched in sweats, my t-shirt clinging tightly to my body as I ran around with her. She was doing well, keeping the ball from my reach.
But then, Pearl seemed to have forgotten who I was. I grabbed the ball with ease and landed another shot, then another and another.
Soon Pearl forgot about our earlier issue, loosened herself around me, and even pouted each time she lost, but never gave up. Rather, she dashed at me with great effort to try to win.
Another reason I loved her. Her resolve to never give up.
Just then I froze, my heart skipping a beat as she grabbed the ball from me and jumped so high from my presence, tossing the ball into the court.
It went in with a swoop and Pearl screamed, laughing as she bounced on her feet, happy she scored yet another point.
"I did it. You sure let your guard down, Grim." She mocked, blowing a raspberry at me, smiles all over her face, her eyes glowing.
She looked so damn beautiful that it hurt.
But wait! Did I just say love?
I loved Pearl. Romantically?
But that couldn't be possible, I mean, not after Shelia's betrayal, right?
I have always cared deeply about Pearl, became both obsessive and protective of her, but to think I would feel this way again?
Impossible.
Just then, I felt two soft hands on my cheeks and blinked to see Pearl looking at me, with her forehead creasing in worry.
"You okay? You are sweating beyond normal." She pointed out, placing a hand on my forehead to feel my temperature when I grabbed her wrist.
I drew her closer to me and her jaw dropped, her face flushing because our faces were so close to one another. Our lips almost touched.
"Get on your knees." I found myself saying and she furrowed her eyebrows at me in confusion.
"Why?" She asked and I placed a hand on her soft, plump lips that I wanted to bite into.
"Shush, just do as Daddy says." I leaned to whisper into her ears, watching as she took her lower lip into her mo
uth.
Her legs wobbled as she dropped to her knees. I fumbled with my belt, watching her eyeballs widen in disbelief as she gulped.
