After Ace left, Galen resumed his daily routine. He'd waited a week to hear from Ben.
Just when Galen thought it wouldn't come to an end, there was a knock on the door.
"Galen, we found this woman named Anna! According to the information, she was last seen in the harbor about five months ago, leaving with a child. But no one knows where she went, and her records seem to have been erased."
Hanging up on Ben, Galen sat back in his chair, deep in thought.
Anna had left there five months ago, and Ace had arrived on his doorstep two months ago.
That meant that in those three months, Ace hadn't known that Anna had left.
Since Ace hadn't been suspicious of the baby last time, he could guess that Ace didn't know Anna was leaving with the baby.
