Special: Story Trivias
• Lucas Martin's name came from my obsession on guitar playing and love with the Martin Guitar. Lucas was a name that I fell in love with from the novel I have read about a Spanish boy and an American girl falling in love with each other.
• Being in love with that Spanish-American love team, I decided to create a story back when I was at 1st year High School trying to mimic that Spainish boy and American girl format. That's how I get the Blaze name.
• The Blaze from my first story (the Spanish) actually had a surname called Cunanan, and when spoken with a Filipino citizen, will sound uncannily like Blaze Cunaman, or in English "I'm fast." Just to make fun of his name.
• I came up with the Harper when I tried creating comics, and I has this character named Blaze, since I hadn't really had the chance to continue that novel since I know no Spanish. I felt like if it'll be a comic, Cunanan won't be the suitable surname. Then, I came up with Harper, since I like the way a Harp sound.
• Doll Nova was the actual name of the American girl that was Blaze Cunanan will be dating on the first story I was writing. I came up with different names for her and I ended up Doll Nova since it sounded more realistic. I didn't edit her name when I decided to put her name into this novel.
• The names I came up before finalizing it to Doll Nova was Doll Dalnova, and Dolly Anmo. Just like Blaze Cunanan, it was supposed to sound something when read by Filipinos. The first one being "I'm to talkative" or "I'm to mouthy," and the other one was "Hurry up."
• I soon realized that Dolly Anmo being hurry up and Blaze Cunanan being I'm fast suited their partnership so well, so I decided to let that be for a certain while before I drafted to first chapter of that Spanish story.
• Moon was actually the name of Blaze's cousin in the Spanish novel I was writing back then. I left his surname blank since I can't think of something that will sound something when spoken by Filipino, but I think Moon was a nice name, so I leave it blank back then. With this story, I made him Martin as well, since Lucas and he were cousins.
• All the other names like Nath, Scottie, Winter, Ghaile were all from that Spanish novel as well. Since I'm not good at creating names, I decided to recycle them too since that story wasn't finished.
• I made this Fire Starter at White Day High story back at January 2020 when I was so intrigued with my subject Creative Writing. My teacher said that I excelled at that subject so I try to make my own story to test if I can really make it.
• This was my first story that I shared with the world. All of my other stories were scrapped, or not being continued since I get tired or lost track on them. I took the risk to post a story online to obligate me to finish or atleast continue it since there are other people reading.
• It was once posted on We bN ov el but I decided to remove all of the chapters I have posted there since 2020 to make a better version of this story.
• Every chapter from that We bN ov el posted version contained less than a thousand words, which was so less for a novel. Also, my writing skills there were too lame and it lack descriptions on what's happening.
• The reason for me being unable to create vivid descriptions on what's happening is I grew up drawing and making comics, so I really on dialogue as the only thing written in a comic. So when I posted it on We bN ov el before, it felt like it was written as a dialogue and some sequences story —more of a script.
• I have reposted this story on We bN ov el again, hoping that I can regain my previous readers there, while having new readers here. I have contacted my editor about it and it was fine.
• I applied for the contract in this platform October last year hoping to be since that month as well since I stated that they will work on it within 14 working days. I waited and waited on for days and weeks and they have no response, until I neglected about this and almost got scrapped again.
• Luckily, an editor within this app commented on my other story posted on We bN ov el that they see potential to my writing and they wanted me to work with them within this platform by mid-December 2021. I frequently opened my sss account to wait for any of their messages and I got hyped up working with this novel again.
• When they reviewed my story and they asked for my information and stuffs, I complied what they asked me to give them and waited for the actual contract signing but it took yet another days and days until December 31 at night, when they have signed the contact and I was on my home celebrating New Year's Eve.
• When I woke up on New Year's Day, I immediately checked my sss and saw that my book has been signed and I got hyped since I will finally earn money with the story that I wrote. I also feel excited to update every day to earn the daily update bonus.
• In fact, I proposed to myself that I will earn the daily update bonus for the Month of February since I was trying to cliffhang the story for January to amass more readers, but I realized that I needed to earn some money for my college so I updated daily this January to make it all at the end of the month.
