It wasn’t even a job related accident, just a simple car crash. No goblin, no masked murderer, no ghost. Just slippery streets and bad luck. Ralph had been on his way back home from the station, driving slowly because of the hard rain. There was a homeless person in the middle of the road, a woman maybe, it was impossible to tell: baggy clothes and a huge hat. Ralph swerved, just as the only other car behind him was accelerating to overtake. Nothing serious, but the car was badly bumped and Ralph ended up in hospital with a few scratches and a mild concussion. He remembered precious little from the actual incident, but he remembered waking up to pain and a dry mouth.
