Chapter 5: Marcus
The team was staking out Ms. Yates’s flat to await Marcus’s return. The flat was the only lead they had. All they could do was hope he was still unsuspecting and would simply return to his room for the night. And while four PCs were patrolling in front of the two pregnant women’s houses—the women had been informed about Marcus being not who he claimed to be—Simon and Ralph stood in front of a big map of Whitechapel in the incident room. They were trying to find possible locations for Marcus’s secret lab—he had to have one for his experiments, since he couldn’t do them in the flat. Besides, they had checked his room and found no evidence of blood; human or otherwise.
