Elijah’s P.O.V Taking a seat at the table, I took the time to scan the setting. It had a small capacity and was certainly on a smaller scale to the nightclubs I had previously been to.  I hated clubbing, despised it even but it was Trevor my Brothers birthday and no matter how hard I tried, I could never say no to my best friend. At least not when keeps pleading and giving me puppy looks. Honestly, the only reason I came, was to stop the constant whining. So that's how I found myself sitting in a booth at a night club. Trying to avoid the hungry stares of all the girls looking at me. My brother told once told me. If you make eye contact with a hungry hyena, it's over and they'll come in for the kill, and maybe he was exaggerating, but I took that his advice anyway. Trevor was sitting beside me, a small smile climbing onto his face when a waitress came to take out orders. "she's is hot." He whispered behind his menu."1-10?" I questioned curiously. Trevor scrunched up his nose slightly and c****d his head to the side as he scanned her face one more time. "A solid 8." I rolled my eyes, and proceed to call over the waiter. Hudson my gamma sat silently in front of me, fidgeting with his fingers. Upon noticing that he wasn't ordering, I deduced that he thought his night would be him solely protecting me. Remembering back to one of our conversations, I picked his favorite drink. " 9 shots and a whiskey on the rocks, for my mate here" He Lifts his head to glance at me, confusion swam in his eyes."Uhm, I'm working, which means I didn't bring any cash with me." "It's nothing " Trevor began, rendering Hudson shocked when he continued. "He will pay for you, and for me, and we can just never pay back.'' He looked at me while forming a smirk. I shared a quick glance at Trevor when Hudson protested, repeating that he wasn't on his own time. But, he relented when Trevor mentioned that he could pay me back whenever. Hudson pulled on the collar of his shirt with a tense smile. "l'll have a whiskey on the rock, please." 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ "Why won't you come dance with us? People are going to start thinking you re crazy if you keep sitting here by yourself," Trevor said. He was always the partier of our group. He was the one that recommended this club to us, apparently, he goes way back with the owner and it was easy to get a in. "With the way you've been dancing out there, I think people think you're crazy enough for the two of us. Get away before too many people see me associating with you," I teased with a smirk. He was what our friend group called a functional drunk, he could function like any sober person, but once you put him in a party setting, he chooses to let the alcohol do its thing. I guess it's a skill he gained from all the drinking we used to do in college. With a mumbled 'whatever' and a swift turn he made his way back to the dance floor, swaying his limbs before he was even near the crowd. After watching Hudson try to flirt with a very uninterested girl while Trevor was Grinding on a girl while screaming 'baby grind on me' I decided that I needed something stronger if I wanted to make it through the night. I asked the for two more shots of tequila but after looking back and seeing Hudson crying on the shoulder of the girl he was trying to get into the pants of two minutes ago, I decided just one wasn't going to be enough. I was about to down the second glass, when I began to inhale the air around me. Something smelled very sweet and attracting. It was faint because it was overpowered by every other scent in here. But somehow it was becoming stronger. I need to find out who this scent belongs to. While I'm looking around trying to find the owner of this intoxicating scent,I feel like I'm being watched. Looking up out of curiosity, I saw a gorgeous woman siting at the bar talking to the bartender. She sat at the bar all alone, laughing and unaware of the lingering eyes that she was getting. I just stood there while she was slowly pulling me in. I might seem creepy for looking at her like a dam stalker. But I just couldn't look away. Finally, her eyes found mine. The girl certainly was a beautiful thing. She was dressed in the spaghetti strapped short blue dress, her long black hair was cascaded around her shoulders. There was a kind of innocence that surrounded her, and I f*****g loved it. Her honey brown eyes bore into mine. How could I not stare. Pushing myself from the bar I slowly made my way towards her.
